โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ jet, unable to stay still. Her nerves were skyrocketing, her thoughts running a thousand miles a second. She knew that all of this was very bad. She knew that Natasha was right, that this could all go sideways faster than they could blink. She was trying to reassure herself that it was fine, that they would come out on top like they always had. But what if this time was different? What if. . . her thoughts were silenced as she became grounded, Natasha's hand grabbing her own, interlacing their fingers and squeezing tightly.
Olivia blinked, turning her head and looking at the redhead. Natasha's lips were curled into a gentle, knowing smile. She gave Olivia a slight nod. They had an entire conversation just by looking at each other and that look that Natasha gave her made all of her worries wash away. Olivia inhaled deeply, releasing a slow breath. They had it under control.
Steve walked over to Sam, placing a hand on Olivia's shoulder as he passed her. "Drop to 2600, heading 0-3-0."
"I hope you're right about this," Sam mumbled, "or we're going to land a lot faster than you want to." Sam moved the jet to the right coordinates, seemingly going right for the forest only for the air to ripple, revealing the beautiful city of Wakanda below.
The jet landed, the hatch opening with the group walking out, Steve, Natasha, and Olivia at the front. In front of them stood T'Challa along with the Dora Milaje. "Seems like I'm always thanking you for something," Steve said, coming to a stop in front of the King. They quickly shook hands.
Behind them, Bruce cleared his throat and bowed. Rhodey looked at him with furrowed brows. "What are you doing?"
T'Challa held up his hands. "We don't do that here." He turned and they followed him as he started walking. "So, how big of an assault are we expecting?"
Bruce answered. "Uh, sir, I think you should expect quite a big assault."
"How we looking?" Natasha asked.
"You will have my Kingsguard, the Border Tribe, the Dora Milaje, and. . ."
"A semi-stable 100-year-old man." Bucky made an appearance, Allison at his side.
"Plus, another assassin." Allison quirked.
Steve smiled as he walked forwards, hugging his best friend. "How you been, Buck?"
Bucky shrugged. "Not bad for the end of the world."
"He's been a pain in my ass." Allison scoffed, though her lips was curled upwards. Bucky playfully rolled his eyes while Steve smiled, giving the girl a hug. "Hey, Steve." Steve moved to the side, allowing Olivia to step forwards. "What'd I say? Every time I see you. Trouble."
Olivia chuckled, hugging her. "I missed you too." She turned to Bucky and gave him a hug as well. "Good to see you, Bucky."
"You too, Liv."
"I hope my sister hasn't caused you too much trouble."
"No." Bucky laughed, looking at Allison with a look in his eyes that Olivia knew all too well. A smile pulled on her lips. "A nuisance at best." Allison scoffed, lightly hitting his shoulder earning a smile from him.
"We'll see you in a few." Olivia chuckled before following the others inside. She walked next to Steve, the two exchanging knowing smiles with each other.
They laid Vision down on a table, allowing Shuri, T'Challa's sister, to scan him with the bracelet on her wrist. She turned her hand palm up, allowing an image of the stone to appear. Her eyes narrowed in slight awe. "The structure is polymorphic."
"Right, we had to attach each neuron non-sequentially." Bruce nodded.
Shuri stared at him like he was an idiot. "Why didn't you just reprogram his synapses to work collectively?"
Bruce stuttered for a moment. "Because we didn't think of it."
Shuri gave him a smile. "I'm sure you did your best."
Wanda stared at the woman. "Can you do it?"
Shuri nodded. "Yes, but there are more than two trillion neurons here. One misalignment could cause a cascade of circuit failures." She looked at T'Challa. "It will take time, brother."
"How long?" Steve asked.
"As long as you can give me."
Suddenly, a beeping could be heard. Okoye looked at her bracelet, turning her hand and showing the earth. "Something's entered the atmosphere."
"Hey, Cap, we got a situation here." Outside, Sam looked up, watching as something came straight for them only for it to crash into the protective barrier, completely destroying it.
"God, I love this place." Bucky muttered.
"Yeah, don't start celebrating yet, guys. We got more incoming outside the dome."
Multiple prism shaped ships landed right outside the barrier. Allison huffed. "What the hell is this?" She exchanged a look with Bucky, her worry starting to increase.
Inside, Vision sat up. "It's too late. We need to destroy the stone now."
Natasha snapped her head towards him. "Vision, get your ass back on the table."
"We will hold them off," T'Challa assured.
Steve looked at Wanda. "Wanda, as soon as that stone's out of his head you blow it to hell."
Wanda nodded. "I will."
T'Challa started shooting off orders left and right. "Evacuate the city. Engage all defenses." He paused, pointing to Steve. "And get this man a shield."
They all went down to the battlefield, with Bruce using the Hulkbuster suit since he couldn't exactly change into the Hulk for the moment. Natasha spared him a glance, asking through the comms, "How we looking Bruce?"
"Yeah, I think I'm getting the hang of it." Only, a moment later he used the pulsars, shooting him through the air causing him to cry out before it turned into laughter. "Wow! This is amazing, man!" He tripped a moment later. Olivia chuckled, sharing a look with Natasha.
"I've got two heat signatures breaking through the tree line." Rhodey informed.
They all lined up, some of the other tribes already there with M'Baku leading a chant. T'Challa came to a stop at his side, the two shaking hands. "Thank you for standing with us." M'Baku nodded, replying in his native tongue.
Olivia stood there with her arms crossed as Natasha, Steve, and T'Challa all approached the barrier where the blue haired alien they'd met in Scotland along with another large alien were waiting on the other side. Olivia was stood beside her sister. "Is now a bad time to tell you I got engaged?"
Allison's eyes widened, snapping her head to her as a wide smile pulled to her lips. "Liv, that's so great! Oh, I'm so happy for you." She gave her hand a squeeze, deciding it probably wasn't appropriate to hug her right before they were about to go to war. Olivia squeezed her hand back. "Is now a bad time to tell you that I have a boyfriend."
Olivia gasped loudly, earning her a few looks. Her eyes snapped to Bucky who was trying his best to keep a straight face, pretending he wasn't listening in on the conversation. "Oh, I have to hear all about this." She smiled. "I'm happy for you sis, truly."
Allison gave a shy smile. "Thank you."
Olivia turned her attention to the scene before her, watching as the ships began to slowly rise in the air. Natasha, Steve, and T'Challa made their way back. Bucky didn't bother to look at Steve as he asked, "They surrender?"
Steve sighed. "Not exactly."
They watched as hundreds of dog-like aliens scrambled from the ships, crashing into the border, trying to get in but being unable. "This is why you guys should let me do the talking." Olivia breathed. "We wouldn't be in this mess."
Natasha rolled her eyes. "Oh please, you would've made it ten times worse."
"Ye have little faith."
"No, I just know you too well." Olivia couldn't argue with that. "Looks like we pissed her off."
They watched as the alien creatures crawl through, some of them slicing themselves in half in the process. They were ravenous creatures with a thirst for blood and they were literally killing themselves to get it. A few managed to make it through alive and they stayed where they were, the Wakandans capes transforming into shields as they all shot at the creatures, including Bucky.
"You see the teeth on those things?" Sam called, him and Rhodey flying through the air and killing the creatures from above.
"Alright, back up, Sam. You're gonna get your wings singed." Rhodey said, throwing down explosives. They watched as the creatures began to run around the barrier.
"Cap, if these things circle the perimeter and get in behind us there's nothing between them and Vision." Bruce warned.
"Then we better keep 'em in front of us," Steve mumbled.
Okoye looked at T'Challa. "How do we do that?"
T'Challa glanced at her before saying, "We open the barrier." He pressed a finger to the comm in his ear. "On my signal, open North-West Section Seventeen." He got a response and he slightly nodded. "On my signal."
"This will be the end of Wakanda." M'Baku muttered.
Okoye lifted her chin. "Then it will be the noblest ending in history."
"Ready for some wolf action?" Allison asked, glancing at Olivia.
"I mean, it only seems the right way to go about it. Dog vs Dog you know." Olivia shared a smirk with her sister before the two transformed, two giant wolves standing at the front line. The shields went down as the wolves walked through, T'Challa following after them.
He stood there for a moment before shouting, "Wakanda forever!" He crossed his arms over his chest, his mask covering his face before they all ran forwards and the fight began.
