Boy, is he screwed

"Are you both good now?" Soobin asked Vinnie who was silently walking beside him. Vinnie pursed her lip together, poking the side of her cheek with her tongue.

"Not like you care." She sighed, smiling at Soobin sadly before walking away from him. Soobin stood there in shock, "what did I do?". He scratched the nape of his neck in confusion when he felt a presence beside him.

"What are you thinking of so hard?" Seolah asked him with a playful smile. "That's kinda unusual."

"Why is that unusual?" He asked with an offended look on his face, raising a brow at the girl.

"I mean. . . . didn't know you could think. That requires a brain actually, did you know that?" Seolah grinned wider.

"I am a god you know-"

"Well, that just makes it worse seeing the situation around us." Seolah shrugged.

"Wow. I can't believe this."

"Okay, on a serious note. What's wrong?" Seolah asked, seriously.

"Well. . . .I asked Vinnie if things are back to normal with you both. . . She just, I don't know, got mad, kinda- what is 'Not like you care' supposed to mean?" He asked Seolah. the girl who looked down at her feet, "I think you should spend more time with her."

"Huh?"

Seolah shook her head trying to walk away but was stopped when Soobin held on to her wrist preventing her from walking away. She sighed trying to make him let go but that just led to her being pushed towards the wall on her left, trapped between his hands which were beside both sides of her head.

"Why are you both being like this? You know, I didn't even exist in your lives before, I shouldn't matter here. Friendships are too precious to let go of when it is as strong and worthwhile as yours. Don't let your egos consume you, love. Sometimes you gotta take the first step." Soobin said, leaning closer to her face. Seolah blinked, heaving out a breath, she felt her face flush and hid it well behind her hair, looking away from him.

"Look at me." He said, holding her face.

"Talk to her after classes. Both of you are equally precious to me and it bothers me to see you both like this. Even me and Heeseung had fights like this but in the end, one of us always stepped in to apologize first and then we both did. You both already have forgiven each other but won't admit it to each other. Stop being dumb, please."

"Can you please step away a bit, I can't focus on your words with you being so close to my face." Seolah breathed out, this caused Soobin to blush as he moved away clearing his throat.

"Yeah."

-

"How was the exam, must've been hard for you." Minhyuk smirked looking at Suyeon who rolled her eyes, "Please, it was a very thrilling question paper but easy though. You shouldn't find it hard, probably take it given time."

"Six actually"

"Wow, you aren't even denying."

"Why would I?"

Suyeon laughed at Minhyuk, shaking her head in amusement, "you really are something, bro."

Minhyuk grinned, happy that he could make the stressed girl laugh. Ever since his tantrum she was always on guard making sure he doesn't get hurt, just like Seungcheol did for him. They got close and shared a very sweet, bestfriends bond.

Minhyuk stared past her head causing her to turn around and spot a smiley Seonnie skipping towards them.

"Oh wow, someone's in a good mood " Suyeon smirked staring between the two, "no I mean yes- uhh"

"Yeah yeah, fine, I'll leave you both alone. Tsk, tsk. Young love." Suyeon sighed, feigning hurt before walking away.

"So. . . .?" Minhyuk asked her.

"Ah I was just, nevermind."

"No, go on"

"So our exams ended today, right?. . . "

"Yeah, most of ours."

"So umm.. . . ." Seonnie shuffled on her feet, hesitating to ask the question. Minhyuk's eyes were shining with curiosity as he looked down at her, trying to figure out her mind.

"Do you want to goonadatewithme?" Seonnie blurted out in a hurry, pulling at the strings of her shirt in fear of rejection.

Minhyuk processed whatever she said in his head, 'Did she just ask me out?' he thought.

"Nevermind, that was dumb I-"

"Yea, I would love to." He replied, smiling widely, staring down at her. Seonnie couldn't help but blink for a few seconds before smiling widely again, as they both chuckled at the tingly feeling blooming inside them.

-

Suyeon watched them with a smile from a distance, before turning around to leave. She shrieked in terror at the sudden appearance of the kumiho behind her.

"Oh my- why do you always need to creep up on me?!? And scare me like that?! I nearly died."

"I mean-"

"You have better ways to kill me, I know. Shut up." Suyeon groaned, leaning on the railing behind her. The staircase to the library was fairly empty as most people were happily leaving to have some free time due to the end of semester exams.

She turned to give the couple on the other side of the hall a glance before she turned again and gasped again at the close proximity between her and Seungcheol's face. She took a hurried step back, nearly losing her footing but was caught by Seungcheol's fast reflexes. His breath got caught in his throat as he studied the features of her face closely. Suyeon was still trying to process but soon snapped back to reality, clearing her throat, stepping away. She tucked out her hair trying to cover her red ear.

"Uhh- I'll leave first, bye." She awkwardly waved at him before rushing away like a penguin. Seungcheol breathed out, smacking his forehead.

-

"Are you auditioning for the musical?" Vinnie asked Heeseung with a raised brow.

"Obviously, shortie." Heeseung rolled his eyes.

"For which part?"

"Male leadโ€“ are you?" He retorted back. Vinnie nodded, "for the female lead " she cleared her throat.

"Do you have a practice partner then?" Heeseung asked, staring at his classmates pairing up for practice. Vinnie stared at him weirdly before shaking her head and gesturing towards the board behind him.

Heeseung turned to gaze at the numbers and the names written by it.

"The numbers are the audition number."

He scanned the board for his name, spotting it his eyes scanned further to it's right which causes him to freeze,

NO.6 , LEE HEESEUNG & VINNIE KIM.

Boy is he screwed.

-

"If you don't mind me asking.." Vinnie trailed off awkwardly making Heeseung chuckle as he gestured her to continue, as they both sat in the empty classroom, practicing over time. Currently they were taking a break, now that they were being serious and depending on each other to work in balance, they reduced the teasing and annoyance to minimum, and were quite surprised to find quite a few similarities between themselves.

"The story of Psyche..." Vinnie said once again awkwardly making Heeseung roll his eyes playfully as he replied.

"Oh that one? Damn, mortals are creative. Psyche wasn't real, she never existed. Just a myth to make mortals believe that I've apparently settled down. Wow girlie, didn't think you'd believe that one." Heeseung said as the two fell into a comfortable silence until Vinnie decided to break it.

"Why? Why don't you believe it? You're the GOD of Love.. but why don't you believe in it?" Vinnie asked Heeseung who was just staring quietly at the Moon that shines brightly behind the glass barrier of the window. The moon was brighter than ever, 'Hyung must be very happy today then.'.

After a while he finally spoke. "Because of mortals. They have shown me that it isn't real. That jealousy, possessiveness, obsession, playing with others' feelings... It has proven to me that love isn't needed. Not if you want to live."

The two once again fell into a deep silence until Vinnie spoke up.

"That's not true." she said, making Heeseung look at her.

"And how can you say that?"

"My parents. Why do you think I believe in love? You know, in US they both fell in love but both sides of my family were against it but guess what? They stuck together through it all, even though they got disowned."

"And guess what?"

"What?"

"That just proves my point," Heeseung said as he chuckled bitterly, making Vinnie look at him.

"Yeah I admit it your parents love each other but your families? They still disowned them right? Love isn't just the whole soulmate thing, love is also about family, friends and everybody else. You see, that's what I meant girlie. Your parents have their love but their families don't."

Everything got quiet once again as the two looked towards the moon outside, the silence was broken by Heeseung.

"I can't believe that you're trying to teach me about love when I'm the GOD of love" Heeseung whispered, but he knew that Vinnie heard him. He turned to look at her, the moonlight made her look ethereal.

"You're never too old for learning." Vinnie whispered smiling softly, "you know. . .it depends on people. Love itself exists in ways more than we know, from petting a stray cat to treating yourself with your favourite food. There is love in everything. And people who actually are selfish and hurt others, they don't really know love, they don't have it. We can only love when we learn to accept others as well as ourselves. Yes, my parents' families might not have loved them at the moment because they cannot accept anything out of the little bubble they have grown used to. And it was hard for them to accept when their warm bubble burst and harsh winter winds pierced at their skin. Yes, they were wrong, but they were just trying to tape down the broken bubble to keep themselves warm again, not realizing that their kids were claustrophobic." Vinnie said, sighing.

"We all have that bubble. Me, you, everyone. And it's just the bubble that needs to break for us to see wider." Vinnie said, turning to look at Heeseung who was staring at her.

"You, our friends, you and the oppas, me and my Eonnies, we too have a bond full of love. You can't deny that you can sense our genuine love for each other. We'll die for each other." Vinnie laughed.

"Yet you're still arguing with Seolah, Noona." Heeseung laughed.

"I just feel embarrassed to apologize first." Vinnie groaned. Heeseung laughed, turning to look at her again, startling himself when he found her staring at him already. His shocked expression caused a giggle to leave her lips, she neared her index finger towards his nose, causing him to stare at it with a funny expression.

She poked his nose softly, "Heedungie~ you gotta burst your bubble." She laughed, before standing up and running away as Heeseung chased her.

"Yah! You shortieโ€”"

-

"Why do we get the results so fast?" Suyeon mumbled to Minhyuk the next day. "Well they are gods, they work faster."

"Miss. Moon, stay back, for a minute." Suyeon wondered why she didn't get her paper and got anxious. Minhyuk patted her shoulder, walking past her. He frowned when he heard a few gods and goddesses giggle and laugh pointing at her.

"I wish we could wait and watch her ego fall to hell." A goddess giggled in a shrill feminine voice, before turning to leave.

Minhyuk stopped, looking back at Suyeon who was staring at her paper in hurt and shock.

"I expected way too much from you. I really did want you to prove the Immortals wrong when it came to your academic abilities. But you proved me wrong, Miss Moon. This is the worst performance I've ever got in my whole life. I feel ashamed about bragging about you to the other professors. But then again, in the end, you're just a mortal." The professor shook her head in disappointment.

Suyeon breathed heavily, lips quivering as she stared at the 'F' on her exam paper. She was confused, ashamed and in a frenzy. She never handled people questioning her abilities well. It might come out as egoistic but that was the only strength she believed she had. She was never considerate of herself and found everything but her abilities academically to be wrong. That was the only part of herself accepted whole heartedly but now she watched that one wall crumble down to debris of broken hope.

She didn't know how and what happened , but her answer sheet had barely any answer on it. Half of the sheets are missing. She remembered putting everything together and submitting way before everyone else. She answered every single one of those questions.

Her head went blank, blaming herself for everything wrong around her.

"Yeon?" She heard a voice call on her, taking a deep breath she placed a pretentious smile on her face, turning to look at a frowning Minhyuk.

"Yeah, go on, I'll be there."

-

"I don't like how the gods are being fowl now." Seokmin grumbled, shoving some mashed potato in his mouth.

"I know, one of them tried to push Chohyeon off the stairs." Taeyong sighed, cracking his knuckles.

"Wow Hyung, you're calmer than usual." Heeseung nodded in approval, receiving a glare from the older.

"The law firm ones- I think they plotted something against Suyeon. . . ."

"What?" Seungcheol asked, sitting straight.

"they were talking about hurting her egoโ€“"

"Hurting whose ego?" Krystal cut off Minhyuk, hearing their conversation.

"Yeon."

"Whatโ€” waitโ€“ that's only possible if-"

"Hi." Suyeon greeted everyone with a smile, seeming less cheerful than she always is. Seokmin greeted her happily, but didn't receive the same warmth of greeting he always received from her.

"You okay, Yeonie?" Krystal asked softly.

"Of Course. When am I not?" Suyeon smiled, but it didn't reach her eyes, like always, which made her eyes nearly disappear. Minhyuk and Krystal exchanged glances.

"Even if she is sad, she won't cry or accept it infront of everyone, ever." Krystal sighed. "Keiko is the best when it comes to convincing her to let go of her tears." The oldest sighed.

-

"Can you tell her to pass me the box?" Vinnie said, coldly, motioning towards Seolah and then the box beside her. Suyeon sighed, turning towards Seolah, who rolled her eyes passing the box to Suyeon instead.

"Not that one. Ugh." Vinnie groaned, getting up to get it herself.

"Then you should've gotten it yourself! I am not your slave!" Seolah screamed.

"Look! I was being nice. I just asked for you to pass a box beside you- why are you dragging it-"

"I am not dragging-"

"CAN YOU BOTH STOP THIS?!" Suyeon yelled at them, finally losing her cool.

"I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU BOTH FIGHTING OVER DUMB STUFF. ALL OF US ARE TRYING OUR BEST TO MAKE SURE YOU BOTH STOP FIGHTING BUT YOU BOTH ARE JUST TOO FOCUSSED ON YOUR OWN STRUGGLES TO SEE HOW WE ARE STRUGGLING PUT THIS BACK TOGETHER." Suyeon panted, as tears welled up in her eyes.

"I understand that it is hard for you too, but so it is for all of us so can't just please try and . . . . Think of everything around too?. . ."

"Iโ€” I can't take this anymore. . .I've been suffocating myself. Trying to make sure you both are okay, everyone is fine and no one is upset, making sure Keiko is doing well. Take care of my studies. Make sure all of you are fine and are not having any problem. No, it's not because I want ya'll to thank me, no. I just want ya'll be happy, and stay together, just like we always were. I feel like I am failing you all, right now. It is my fault, I should've interfered, close this fight before it got dragged so far. I should've been more attentive of Keiko, I could've avoided her falling sick. . . . I should've studied harder. . . . I wouldn't have failed then. . . ." She whispered out the last part but the pair heard it, eyes widening.

All of the girls were frozen in their places, this was way too unusual even for Keiko and Krystal.

Suyeon groaned, rushing to her room, closing the door with a slam.

"Wait, Yeonโ€”" Keiko tried to get out of her bed but was stopped by Seokmin who was visiting her again. She looked at him in confusion but his glance assured her as he stood up and went outside.

-

Suyeon felt humiliated and ashamed. Guilt crept up on her the moment she closed the door behind her. She had no reason to lash out at the girls when it was her fault they were in this predicament in the first place. She felt dramatic to have lost her cool and for not being the mature one.

Sitting on the floor beside her bed, she folded her knees close to her chest, wiping her tears furiously.

"This is so dumb. It's not even their fault. Why would I do something like this? They must be feeling awful." She sighed, as more tears rolled down her cheeks. She felt awful and dumb for reacting. She was so used to hiding inside of her that the feeling of actually letting out her emotions publicly was foreign to her.

"It isn't dumb." A soft voice spoke. Suyeon gasped, wiping her tears again before snapping her head towards the opened window.

"Did you really need to sneak in like that?" She croaked out, sighing. She rested the back of her head on the soft mattress of the dorm bed.

"Yes." Seungcheol smiled, walking forward and taking a seat beside her. She had her eyes closed and didn't see him near her. He softly brushed away a few strands of hair that stuck to her forehead, softly. This caused her to flinch, opening her eyes.

He stared into her eyes, "It isn't dumb, Suyeon. Everyone has the right to feel. Feeling sadness isn't wrong. You can't expect yourself to hold everyone strong when you are struggling yourself, and one can only be strong when they can bravely let both their sadness and happiness out publicly." He said, now holding one side of her face in palm, making her look at him.

"And about you failing, no look at me, it's okay. Failing isn't something to be ashamed of, even though it did shocked me too, but use it as your strength to fight back harder next time. We can't climb up with even one blister on our skin. Also, you have a lot to be proud of yourself, some that number in that one subject won't affect you. Failures makes one more perfect." He said, his caring side peeking in.

Suyeon stared at him in shock but sighed, "My academic ability was the only thing I found good in myself. My family wanted a perfect child, they believed in me just like they did for my older siblings but they could fulfill their dream, I, Whereas chose a different way. I always tried to prove myself. And when I started succeeding, it became the only thing I liked about myself. A strength. I have nothing else anyway, I mean look at Krystal Eonnie, I wish I was like her- Academically brilliant, smart, and amazing friend and extremely beautiful. Even Keiko, Chohyeon, all of them have so much to like about themself. Iโ€”"

"You have everything they do. Have you see yourself in the mirror??" Seungcheol gave her a look before sighing.

"Love all of yourself or none. And I like the first choice better. You better choose that too or I'll keep scaring you to death till you actually do it." He threatened. Suyeon's lips slightly tugged up at his threat, she understood his words and nodded, "I'll try. . . . I guess."

"They love you a lot, you know. The girls. They would never think of you differently for showing your emotions. For being upset. They'll be very ready to be the shoulder you are for themโ€”" He stopped talking when he felt a weight on his shoulder.

"I was just scared."

Seungcheol glanced down at her, her head on his shoulder, he could hear her heart beating a bit faster than usual but softly. She breathed out, "thank you." She said, looking up at him with a smile. Seungcheol gulped, he too knew,

He was screwed.

-

"Welp, another one downโ€”"

"What are you doing?" Taeyong questioned Heeseung who flipped his wrist down, the light in front of him disappearing.

"Uhh....nothing. Heh."ย

AN: Done with this update! Hope y'all enjoyed it!

Also I've had this in my mind for weeks now, please answer if you can.

Is it normal to not remember anything about your childhood?

Cause I don't

well almost everything.

I remember him, only him nothing else

not even my own family, or anyone else.

I was three, he was four. Well I would be turning four in that year, he already had. His birthday is in June, mine is in December.

My mum and I were walking down the building when my mum suddenly saw his mum.

The two apparently knew each other from before.

While they were talking since the two of us were getting bored we talked and he was the one who initiated it by introducing himself.

My mum says that she was surprised considering I wouldn't even talk to anyone else except her and my dad but I spoke with him.

We became friends, very very close friends. Same grade but different sections however despite that we'd play together every day, he'd even come to my house to study together at least four times a week.

Well until we went to second grade.

He used to get sick quite often, due to which his parents had to send him to India for three years.

I remember that not even a single day passed by when I didn't miss him.

He came back when we were in fifth, of course, we both had grown up a bit now however we still got along great.

But then our parents stopped us from meeting too much because of the goddamn puberty.

Later when we DID meet it was so awkward that it hurt. I couldn't help but wonder that did we both even used to be best friends at a point for quite a few years?

Now he moved to India again last year but we met his parents who are still here last month, they moved to a new place. They were showing us the apartment when suddenly said

"Because I'm here it feels like he came back"

I was almost about to cry then and there, but I stopped however I did cry silently in our car while going back. I had wanted to ask his parents for his number but then I didn't. I still wonder is he happy? If we met again would we still be awkward? Or could we become friends like before again?

I feel like I'm getting my hopes up just to get them shattered with the third question but oh well. At least with that, I'm able to sleep at night before having an emotional breakdown.

I went from remembering childhood memories to this, I'm messed up.

Also just to make you guys and myself better I recorded a small cover of one of my most favourite songs! Please don't mind that my voice sounds like shit! Also yes, the image in the video was made by me!

Also I'm sorry if I'm annoying you all with all this of my life ^^ I won't do it in the next update! Bye!
