NOTES

1. basically in this au rey was successfully delivered to the supreme leader and trained in the ways of the dark side of the force. additionally, ben was never tempted by the darkside as the supreme leader had their apprentice and according to the rule of two there was balance.

2. leia organa went missing early on in ben's life and han maintained his smuggler lifestyle, so when the first order swooped in to claim power, ben was on his own to lead the resistance.

3. ben and evangeline grew up together, learning the ways of the force. their connection never broke as they seamlessly went from childhood friends to lovers. however, the first order destroyed the temple of the new jedi to discourage an uprising, ben and evangeline were the only survivors.

4. seth was abandoned on jakku after he was deemed a failed experiment and whatever force training he had received in his youth pretty much became repressed memories. finn quickly rose through the ranks as a stormtrooper, becoming captain and earning a title. in order to avoid some legal issues, poe joined the first order to escape his life as a spice runner.

5. koria was a tie fighter trainee, but dropped out of the academy to join the resistance. hux rose to the ranks of general through his birthright connections, but being the bastard son of brendol hux came with many negative connotations and high expectations to prove his worth. the pressure was too much so after the execution on jakku he defects.

6. the oryll siblings were raised by a few surviving members of mandalorians that lived by the death clan virtues. they joined neither side in the war and ultimately took on the role of bounty hunter.

7. alexsandr kallus retired from his role as fulcrum after the empire was destroyed. he didn't exactly go into hiding, but he did leave the grid for a quieter life. as luke skywalker is dead, there's only a couple of surviving jedi masters and fulcrum just happens to know their locations. both the first order and ben's resistance are actively trying to find him to procure this information with the balance of the force hanging between.

Oh look, another au that will likely end up remaining here for a little while. A little switcheroo of the roles with a nice what if Rey had been delivered to Palpatine and the dark side never called out to Ben. There's obviously going to be a lot of canon changes and more incorporation of lore and headcanons that should have been included in the movies, but I'm actually really excited about this concept.
