-ᴊᴀsᴍɪɴ ᴏᴄᴇᴀɴ had been unlucky at the 65th Hunger Games reaping, getting thrown in at the age of fourteen into an arena for certain death. Luckily, or so she initially thought, with her best friend Finnick Odair. It didn't occur to Jasmin, or Finnick, that only one could leave the arena. Which meant one of them had to die.

When it came to the Hunger Games, they fought side by side. Defending each other until the end, the end being Jasmin's supposed death by her own hands. Finnick had refused to let her die and she had refused to let him die, she knew that Finnick needed to win. Therefore she took her own life, or so everyone thought.

When the helicarrier came to whisk away her body, Jasmin's heart had still been beating. Instead of injecting her with a lethal TrackerJacker venom, President Snow ordered that she was to be kept alive and hidden from the public eye. He experimented on her, keeping her alive for his own benefit. To keep the Capitol's golden boy in order.

Jasmin had been brainwashed into working for the Capitol as a Game Maker. Up until the venom no longer worked, she was approached by Plutarch Heavensbee where he joined her up to the rebellion and helped her escape into District 13 where she was reunited with Finnick Odair.

ɪɴғᴏʀᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ

σиє. Jasmin is not reaped into the 75th Hunger Games, yet she still worked as a Game Maker for those Games. That is where Plutarch approaches her and helps her escape when the arena falls, she will reunite with Finnick on the helicarrier at the end of Catching Fire.

тωσ. The 65th Hunger Game does need to be written to show their relationship, it doesn't need to be a long part of the story but it has to be a decent length. Her weapon in the Games could be anything, preferably a spear (which would have been used in her home district for fishing).

тняєє. The TrackerJacker venom in her system caused her to get addicted to it therefore in order for her to function she has to take a regular dose. The venom did start to wear off towards the 75th Hunger Games which meant she was no longer under Snow's control and was only staying for the dose of the venom to keep her alive because her organs started to fade away without it.

fσυя. Jasmin was supposed to die in the arena so when people find out she isn't President Snow's authority will get questioned and almost overthrown. Her identity could be revealed as part of the District 13 campaign.
