Dallon held the ice to his jaw, his cautiousness slowly fading.
"Hey, try to stay awake for me, I got us an Uber"
Ryan helped Dallon drink some of his water, seriously concerned about what had happened. One moment he was getting an extremely butchered text, and the next moment he was sitting at a bus stop next to his beat up boyfriend.
If Ryan wasn't disabled of a leg then he would gladly carry Dallon to his house. However that wouldn't be a good attempt either way. Ryan was pretty weak in the arms, even if it didn't seem so. He could barely lift a box, let alone Dallon.
While waiting, the two noticed it started to rain. It had rained earlier that day, during school hours. This either meant a thunderstorm, or snowstorm. Snowstorms were worse, but Ryan hoped it was just that so Dallon might get ''accidentally'' snowed in at his house. They had done this before, snowing each other in by staying a little longer at one anothers house. The extra comfort was needed sometimes.
As soon as their Uber arrived, they tried to get in the car as quick as possible. Which wasn't very quick. Still, they tried their best. Which again, wasn't very good but—well you get the point.
Ryan thanked all Lord's that he hadn't forgotten his money, because God was their driver rude. The ride was silent, other than the small whimpers of pain Dallon let out whenever the car moved a certain way. Ryan tried to keep Dallon cautious while also trying to comfort him. Dallon didn't have the strength to do most things, let alone stay awake.
"10 Dollars"
Ryan looked out the window seeing they were already there. Well that was quicker than expected. Then again, Dallon was only a few minutes away.
Ryan handed the driver his money, getting Dallon out the car carefully, and taking his crutches from the bottom of the seats.
Dallon watched as the car drove off, just realizing that trying to get to front door would be even more of a struggle. Great. Even if Ryans house was rather small, it had a—what Dallon would call—really long pathway. He was already stressed at the thought.
And he was right, because barely 5 steps in both of them were winder and shivering. People walking by looked at them, concerned and quite close to asking if the two needed help. No one dared to, though. That's what was tough about it. That they looked helpless, were helpless, but passerbys acted as if they were just as beaten down as the couple. As if they couldn't take two seconds out of their day to-
Well nevermind.
