Chapter 4
Disclaimer: I do not own BNHA or the Quirk Impulse. Impulse was created by @hawkin_headlines on Instagram. They have a Comic Villain Deku AU Series on Instagram and I encourage you to check it out. It's really awesome! BNHA itself was created by Kohei Horikoshi. I own nothing but the plot for this story.

Midoriya P.O.V
As I stared back at the creature which held me captive, I thought that Death had come to claim me at last. My eyes shut for the second time in two days, and both times were because I wished to be gone. To pass. Well, no such luck. I heard a voice yell,
"Texas Smash!" and I was loosened from the Villain's grasp. A Villain, huh? How ironic. Only last night had a man come up to me and suggested that I be a Villain. Not that I'd hold any more value to the society as a Villain. A Villain without a Quirk? That sounded just as dumb as a Hero without one.
"Hey, kid, are you alright?" I looked up through my bangs to see All Might, my idol. The man I looked up to for life. I beamed, and said,
"Yes! Thanks for saving me!" he only continued to smile. How does he continue to smile like that al day, and every day? Doesn't he have bad days? Doesn't his mouth get tired? All Might began to walk away, but I stumbled up and called out,
"All Might, wait!" he looked back, and stopped.
"Yes, young man?" he looked like he was in a rush. No matter. I tend to keep this short either way.
"Do you think I can become a He-can you sign my notebook?" it turns out I was still to chicken to find out the truth. I reached into my backpack which I had been carrying since my house burned down, and pulled out my notebook. Flipping to a blank page, I handed it to All Might, along with a pen. Pen lasted longer than pencil, but neither would last if Kacchan blasted it, then threw it out the window into a fish pond.
"Yes, of course!" All Might took both items from me and signed my notebook. Now I had a signature!
"Thank you, All Might!" I backed away, then remembered that this may be my only chance to ask him. All Might began to lift off, but I clung to his leg.
"Hey what the-" but it was too late. We lifted off into the air, and sped towards one of the tallest buildings.
"Kid, let go!" yelled All Might, but I was too focused on doing the opposite, and trying not to look down.
"I-I can't! I'll fall!" All Might ignored me this time, instead continuing to fly. As we passed by, people were pointing fingers and laughing. I rolled my eyes. Izuku Midoriya, once again the laughing stock. We reached the building, and All might set us down, beginning to scold me.
"Did you know how dangerous that was?!" I looked up and saw his holding his head on his hands. Whoops. I said,
"Well, I didn't think tha-" All Might stopping rubbing his head, and looked at me forcefully.
"That's right! You didn't think! What if you'd gotten hurt?!" he sighed and said,
"I'll be off now. Be more careful." this was it. It was now, or never. As All Might turned, starting to lift off, I blurted out,
"All Might, do you think that I can become a Her-" my words were cut off once again by a puff of steam. Blocking my eyes against it, I looked up. In All Might's place stood a small, frail looking man, with hair suspiciously like All Might's.
"H-hey kid. You can't tell anyone about this, got it?" I nodded, but deep inside I was fuming. Was that what All Heroes were? Nothing but a fake? Were they all weak behind their power shell? He said,
"It seems my time's almost up. What were you saying before, kid?"
"Can I become a Hero without a Quirk?" I asked, my heart beating at 80 kilometers per hour. Small Might's face drooped a little. My heart sank.
"Wait don't say i-" before I could stop him, he replied,
"No you cannot. Without a Quirk, you're powerless. You can become a police officer; I hear that's a fine job. But there's one choi-" I stopped hearing his words then.
Powerless.
Powerless.
That's all I'd become, right? With no Quirk, I was useless; a nobody. Only a stepping stone to others; a pebble on the side of the road. My hands clenched into fists and I said,
"Leave me alone!" I turned away, only realizing then that there was no way off the building except for the stairs, which Small Might was blocking. He sighed and said,
"Listen here, kid. I can give you a Quirk. But only if you're determined to become a Hero. Besides, you can't get off this building." I didn't think it was possible for my heart to sink even lower than it was now, but it did.
"R-really?" All Might nodded, and I felt a spark of hope I my chest. Maybe I could become a Hero!
"My Quirk is called One For All. It can be passed down form user to user, as long as the person receiving it consumes something that contains the passer's genes. Even so, this only works if the passer's is willing it." my heart leapt up, and I nodded.
"I'll become a Hero. The best one yet!" All Might smiled tiresomely and said,
"Your training becomes tomorrow. Meet me at the beach at 5am sharp." He walked down the stairs, and I stood there, paralyzed. Did I just get a Quirk?

Still Midoriya P.O.V
After a night of sleeping on the benches again, I ran towards the beach to begin my training.
"All Might, I'm here!" I huffed, and bent over, putting my hands on my knees. All Might had one eyebrow raised and stared at me.
"If you can't even withstand running, you can't withstand this Quirk." I stood upright, looking and feeling like a rigid board. All Might grinned, and said,
"Good. Now, let's begin."
---------
Over the next two months, All Might made Midoriya carry garbage, swim, and run with almost no end. Still, Midoriya never gave up.
So round and round this cycle went, until finally, two months passed. And All Might decided that Izuku Midoriya was ready.

Midoriya P.O.V
I huffed, laying down flat on the warm sand. Sweat ran down my face, chest, and back, but I didn't mind. What I was worried about was whether I made it or not.
"Young Midoriya, it's time." I jolted upright, and stood up.
"R-really?" All Might solemnly nodded, and I stayed where I stood, whereas All Might walked over to me slowly. He plunked a golden piece of hair from his head, and held it out towards me.
"Eat this." ...huh?! He did say it had to provide his genes...oh well. I took the piece of hair from his fist and put it in my mouth. Course and dry hair didn't taste very good. Yet, I chewed, and swallowed. Almost gagging, I drank some water to make t go down.
"Young Midoriya, I hope you take good care of this power, and put it to good use." I nodded, and walked off.
"Thank you, All Might."
------
Only two more months until the UA entrance exams. Kacchan would probably kill me for going, but I did what I wanted. The past two months had me realize a lot of things.
First, people became Heroes to satisfy their own needs. Fame, money, popularity, etc. Nobody was a true Hero. What was really strange, was the fact that the man from the night who had offered for me to become a Villain two months ago didn't show up. Maybe he was busy.
As I walked down the street, I wondered,
Would things have turned out differently if I didn't meet Kacchan?
Bakugo P.O.V (Haha surprise!)
As I walked down alleys with my gang, looking for someone to have some fun with, I realized. The boy I'd saw, along with hundreds of other people, was Deku. I gritted my teeth. How stupid. He wasn't qualified to get the attention of the Heroes, so he'd clung to one.
Seeing a bottle, I kicked it. It bounced against the wall, and rolled out of sight.
"Katsuki, are you alright?" asked one of my so-called 'friends.' To me, they were no more than pawns in my chess game. I spun around, and growled.
"No, I'm fucking not! Screw off, and leave me alone!" they sped off, leaving me alone as I'd told them to. Continuing walking, I didn't hear the sound of slithering until a voice whispered,
"You'd make a great vessel." ......shit.
SHIT. SHIT SHIT. SHIT.
I broke into a run, using my Quirk to propel myself forwards, until I reached the end of the alley. As I reached forwards towards the sunlight, two tentacles wrapped around me and squeezed. My vision began to darken around the corners, and I almost blacked out. That's when I heard people muttering, and a small, light voice say,
"Kacchan!" now, I wonder who that was?
Midoriya P.O.V
There he was. Kacchan. My childhood friend, and my bully. I couldn't use my Quirk; I wasn't used to it yet. So I called out,
"Kacchan!" and ran towards him, when I felt a cold hands wrap around my throat, earning a choking sound out of me.
"Now, now. Don't go running off like that." I shivered, and tried to turn around. There was no doubt; it was the Villain from before. Why show up now, of all times?
"Into here." he shifted his wrist onto my arms, and forcefully jerked me into an alley.
"W-what do you want?" I asked. Darn it. My voice was still shaky as ever.
"I've given you two months-I said a week before, didn't I? I was being generous." right. He had asked me if I wanted to become a Villain, and I had refused. But, now that I think about it, I wasn't so bad. No rules. No restraints. Nothing could hold me back from what I wanted Tod o; complete freedom.
"What do you say?" I pulled in a breath, and released it again. His hand fell off my arm, and I turned around. I would finally be free. No more orders; no more bullying.
Smiling and no longer nervous, I replied,
"Okay."
