Chapter 16

Disclaimer: I do not own BNHA or the Quirk Impulse. Impulse was created by @hawkin_headlines on Instagram. They have a Comic Villain Deku AU Series on Instagram and I encourage you to check it out. It's really awesome! BNHA itself was created by Kohei Horikoshi. I own nothing but the plot for this story.

Midoriya P.O.V

Hitting. Kicking. Slapping, and all those other kinds of torture Kacchan would do to me when we were young. Passing by the park where all those memories happened made me remember them all over again, and I didn't like it. Not one bit. After I had told the League about the sports festival, I actually felt useful. They said that they would go and watch the Quirks of those in my school, but I knew they were going just to see which kids we could recruit as Villains.

*Flashback*

Sitting down on the couch after Himiko got off me, I looked around.

"Guys, I have good news." everyone turned to face me, and I took a deep breath.

"UAishostingasportsfestivalinabout4weekswecangothenanduseitasanopportunity." I let out one burst, then looking about and scanning everyone's faces. They all looked confused, which left me numb. Didn't they appreciate the news? Was I useless after all?

"Please repeat that, Izuku." butted in Kurigiri, and I sighed. It turns out I was speaking too quickly. They didn't hate me. Yet. A voice inside me whispered, and I shoved it away.

"UA is hosting a sports festival in about 4 weeks. We can go then, and use it as an opportunity." Shigaraki-kun clapped his hands and tried to smile, only ending up grimacing.

"Midoriya is right. We can go, in disguise, of course." I nodded, smiling at them, feeling relieved that they'll be there, in the crowd, silently cheering me on.

"YAY! I GET TO SEE IZU-KUN FIGHT!" cheered Himiko, and she hugged me. Oh right. I smiled, and hugged her back.

She was going to be there, too.

*Flashback End*

Only two out of the four Villains were actually excited for the sports festival, if Shigaraki-kun could be excited. Kurpgiri decided to go because he had nothing else to do, but didn't want to be out. Dabi had to go because Shigaraki-kun threatened to drag him, and Himiko...she looked genuinely happy and excited for me.

All four of them promised to be in the crowd on that day, and I had laughed. Laughed.

I was now on my way to school, the wind blowing through my green hair, making it sway in the breeze. Any other day, I would've smiled, and told my mother it was a great weather. But now it was different. Mom was gone, and I was a Villain. But maybe, just maybe, this was the way I wanted it to be.

--------

"Class, we will be dividing into groups. One side will be the Villains, and the other will be the Heroes. The Villains will hoard a bomb, which the Heroes will have to touch in order to stop. Any questions?" All Might stood in front of the class, hands on hips, and his usual smiled plastered to his face.

"I really wish that instead of bombs, those were girls' boobies..." a boy sighed from somewhere to my right. Disgusted, I turned to look at him. Short. He was around half of my height, and wore the school uniform. On top of his head, there were purple balls.

"MINETA!" most of the girls screamed at him, and one slapped him across the face. Grinning, I turned back round. Served him right. When I leave this damned place, he'll be the first I'd hunt down.

"Now, time for a Hero surprise!" declared All Might, and I felt disgust all over again. A 'Hero' surprise, huh? What was the difference between that and a normal surprise? All Might pressed a button, and with a hiss of steam glass cabinets slid out of the walls.

"These are your Hero costumes!" he said, and the entire class cheered. Hero...costumes...? Crap. I had forgotten to file in a form to tell UA what I wanted.

"All Might, I didn't fill in a form." his name tasted vile on my tongue, and I hoped I'd never have to speak of it again.

"Young Midoriya, UA has created a costume they feel would best fit your Quirk. If you wish to change it, come to Principal Nezu's office after school ends." great. I wondered how mine looked like? Pushing my way to the front of the class, I stares in disbelief at the green thing that hung. Who told them to make it all green, huh?! Just because my hair and eyes were green, doesn't mean it's my favorite color! Grabbing it, I turned on my heel and jumped out the open window.

"Young Midoriya!" All Might called after me, but I was already racing away, further and further from UA.

--------

Busting open the door to the Villains hideout, I screamed, startling Shigaraki-kun, who spilled his beer and accidentally disintegrated the glass bottle. Dabi fell off the couch, and his phone landed on top of his face with a thud. Kurogiri just dropped the glass he was cleaning, but used a portal to make it land safely back into his hands.

"What the fuck, man?" asked Dabi as he climbed back onto the couch. I ignored him, and scanned the room for Himiko.

"If you're looking for Toga, she's out shopping. Again." added Kurogiri, watching Shigaraki-kun  try his best to clean the beer, but looked pissed. Whoops.

"WHAT THE HELL, BRAT! ISN'T IT STILL SCHOOLTIME?!" he turned around and screamed at me. I held up my costume for all of them to see. Silence. Utter silence followed, then laughter.

"OH MY FUCKING GOD, WHAT IS THAT?!" Dabi was choking for breath, and tears were forming in his blue eyes. I groaned, slumping.

"It's my 'Hero' costume." I put air quotes around the word 'Hero', and groaned again. Shigaraki-kun froze. His crimson orbs narrowed, and honed in on me. I fidgeted.

"Anyways, I need someone over 16 to sign my form, so I can get it changed." I added, and looked around.

"You guys look pretty old, so this should do the trick." I could see a vein pop in Shigaraki-kun's forehead, and I laughed silently.

"WHAT-" KurOgiri shushed him, and I giggled.

"KurOgiri, wanna sign it?" one of his eyes widened a bit, and I had a slight impression he was rising an eyebrow.

"Sure. Where is it?" he asked, looking around. Dabi was scrolling through his phone again, looking bored. Shigaraki-kun was now sitting on the stool, arms crossed. His plastic hand was on the counter beside him, alongside the dust from the glass bottle he had disintegrated.

"Uhm...I was supposed to get it after school ended." I admitted, and Shigaraki-kun facepalmed.

"Then why are you here?!" he asked, and I shrugged. Then I heard the voices. Still pretty far away, but I caught something that made my heart clench.

"-MN NERD!" I gulped, and told them all to teleport away, and to teleport me to the park. Kurogiri did as he was told, and they all vanished without a trace, with the exception of Kurogiri.

"So, you want to go, or not?" he asked, folding his arms. Taking out my phone, I scrolled through my contacts, selecting Himiko's.

'Where did you teleport them to?" Kurogiri unfold his arms and stared at me.

''Into the woods. Why?" I showed him my phone, started to text Himiko.

"I need to tell Himiko." he nodded, and sat down on a stool, waiting.

  <Contacts                                        ~Himiko Toga~

Me: Hey, Himiko! Kurogiri took the Villains into the woods. Check there first, then come into the bar.

Himiko: Okie! :) I'm done my job anyways!

Me: Thanks!

Breathing out  a sigh of relief, I slid my phone back into my pocket.  Nodding at Kurogiri, I said,

"I'm ready, and Himiko knows." Kurogiri nodded back at me, and opened a portal. I walked into it. Darkness swirled around me, making me feel like I was downing, like I was choking. I would never get used to this feeling. The warp gate opened next to the park, and I stumbled out, siting down on one of the benches. Looking around, I realized something. This was the park where I met Shigaraki-kun. Then looking further, I saw Kacchan alongside the rest of my class, nearing the bar. Frantically, I called out.

"I'm over here!" cupping my hands around my mouth amplified the sound, and I waved my arms in emphasis.

"WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU, DEKU?!" I cringed, hearing Kacchan scream. Well, nothing new.

"In the tree, Kacc-Katsuki." I watched as his brows furrowed, then replaced by the angry look once again.

"Well, dipshit, we almost got in trouble because of you, Deku!" I watched as his fists clenched, and began to smoke.

"Sorry." sliding off the bench, I walked towards them.  No one looked happy about the fact that they all missed training, but I sure was.

-------

"Izuku Midoriya, where were you?" a very furious Caterpillar asked. It didn't seem very intimidating, as he was in his sleeping bag, and glaring up at me.

"At the park, sir." the lie slipped easily past my teeth, and I watched as he nodded. How stupid, to buy such a obvious lie.

"Sit down. I don't have time to deal with this shit." smiling, I walked towards my seat and sat down. Taking out my notebook, I looked around the room. I didn't know a lot of their Quirks. I'd have to find out, in order to tell the League.

"Since somebody has wasted all of our training time, we'll do the Villains VS Heroes tomorrow. Dismissed." a boy with spiky hair raised his hand, and asked a very obvious question.

"Sir, the bell hasn't...rung yet?" he acted as if everybody else was deaf, and he was the only one who could hear the bell.

"Don't care." Caterpillar crawled into his sleeping bag, and thumped onto the ground, and soon was snoring. I shouldered my bag, along with my notebook which I hadn't written in yet. Standing up, I walked towards the door, waving at the rest of my class.

"Adios!" I walked out, leaving them all behind with a puzzled expression.

-------

Aizawa P.O.V

Something was wrong with that new kid. Some was terribly wrong. He seemed normal enough, and acted just like another one of those annoying teens. I had the gut feeling not to trust him, but what could I do? He was here to become a Hero, just like the rest of us.

Even so, his reaction to his Hero costume was strange. He seemed almost revolted by it. Turning over in my sleeping bag, I groaned. Too much thinking in one go.

Still, I couldn't help but try and unravel the aura of mystery around this child. Maybe he just didn't like the color green?

*Flashback*

"Shota, one of my students has run off, and I'm afraid we'll have to cancel the Villains and Heroes training." Toshinori explained, and I groaned. (A/N Toshinori is All Might.)

"Do we have to go find that brat?" I asked, slipping out of my sleeping bag. He shook his head, looking out the classroom window.

"No. Class 1A is already looking for him." I rose an eyebrow.

"Him?" I asked. So, it was a male. How typical. They always caused the most chaos and trouble. Toshinori nodded, and suddenly looked troubled.

"He reminds me of someone, but I can't seem to remember who." I frowned. It was unlike him to forget something.

"His name is Izuku Midoriya." I offered, and his head snapped up. Did he remember something?

"Green hair, right?" Toshinori asked, and I nodded. It would seem he did remember.

"Yeah. Why?" I rubbed at my eyes, and secretly hoped the class would take a long time to find him. Then I could get extra time to sleep.

"He's the boy I passed One for All onto." my eyes snapped open, or as wide as they could go, which wasn't very far.

"What's wrong, Shota?" I hear him ask, and I shook my head. It was probably just a fragment  of my imagination. After all, I didn't sleep last night, and forgot my coffee.

"It's nothing." Toshinori nodded, but still looked skeptical.

 I should really sleep more.

*Flashback Ends*

--------

I skipped merrily to the principals office, humming a tune under my breath. Knocking on the wooden door, I waited.

"Come in!" I heard a squeaky voice say, and I paused. Then, I slowly turned the knob and pushed the door open. And froze in my tracks. On the couch sat a mouse, with a scar over its eyes. The mouse beckoned towards me, and I stepped forwards.

"My name is Nezu! Do not be alarmed-my Quirk simply allows me to process supernatural intelligence!" I nodded, and forced myself to smile.

"I'm Izuku Midoriya, and I'm here for the Hero Costume form." I almost puked on the velvety carpets just saying that word. Heroes. However, Principal Nezu didn't seem to notice.

"It's over there." he said, pointing towards a desk. I walked over to it, and saw a pile of papers which all read 'HERO COSTUME' in all capitals on the top. Grabbing one of them, I walked towards the door once more.

"Thank you!" I waved, but the principal seemed to be deep in thought, so I bushed it off and shut the door quietly behind me. Now then...

How should I design my Costume?
