Christina's POV the next night:

As I laid awake in bed, I had started twisting and turning at the fact I still couldn't fall asleep. I had called Lucas not too long ago after I got home from my nightly shift at a convenience store not too far from my lakehouse.

But now I lie awake, restless as I couldn't fall asleep in peace. Something just kept aching at me. Why did Lola act so strange after I told her I may possibly love a guy I met? Noted- I met him only a week ago, but I was still falling for him. He was sweet, treated me well, and wasn't controlling when it came to me doing whatever I wanted.

Hearing a bing go off on my phone, I turned on my side toward my nightstand and switched on my phone. It was Lola who had texted.

Lola:
The groom said you could come!!

Me:
Wow... okay then. When do we leave?

Lola:
Well we do have our final semester exams next week. I'll text him to figure it out, but I'd start packing. Cause we're leaving sometime soon, and I want to make sure you're prepared 😏

Me:
😂 alright Lola

Me:
Goodnight

Lola:
Goodnight C 😘

I switched off my phone and sighed. I was a person with bad ocd. Now that Lola brought up packing, it only seemed to nag at me. Even though we weren't even leaving until final exams were over.

I stood my feet off the bed, as soon as my feet touches the cold floor, a loud rumble is heard from outside. I sighed, rainy days weren't my thing. They showed gloomy aspects, so it made me feel gloomy. I turned on my bedroom light and looked around my room. Seeing the darkness outside, the rain drops falling on the window.

I walked towards the large glass windows and looked outside. The two streetlights that was by my house, then across from the street from my driveway. I looked at the trees that moved around because of the wind. I couldn't see clearly since it was dark, but I guess this felt calming. I didn't know what was wrong tonight. But something just felt off.

I turned around, until I heard something be thrown against the window. I gasped and turned toward the window again. I looked outside, seeing nothing once again. Was I doing okay?

I turned away from the window, hearing another sound against the window. I rushed toward the window looking outside. I could see a figure dressed in what looked like a black cloak, there was a hood covering who's ever face that was under it. I looked closely and could see the hands were hanging out of the sleeves, except their fingernails were long, and sharp. I gasped and quickly moved away from the window.

I rushed downstairs and ran around making sure every door was locked. The only door left unlocked was the back door that you could exit outside in the kitchen. I ran back upstairs, pushing my door shut and locking it also. I pressed my back against the wall and tried to catch my breath. God... I hoped no one would try coming in.

Lola's POV:

Hearing a knock on my front door, I closed the book I was reading in the comfy living room I lived in. Walking to the front door looking out the window, seeing no other than my lifetime friend. Opening it up, we hugged onto each other. "Walter? You came by at this hour?" I asked as he stepped inside.

"I wanted to take an easy flight over, just to check up on her. She seems to be frightened by me." Walter said, I looked down at his hands, his sharp claws were out. I couldn't help but chuckle.

"She saw you?" I asked Walter, he nodded simply, then took off his cloak and hung it up on the hanger by the door. "I think she was already awake, but I saw her looking out the window before I even started to scare her." Walter said, I could only nod, then gesture him to the couch. "Tea?" I asked, Walter nodded.

His accent hasn't changed one bit. His attractive, deep and slick british accent. Walter had manners, he seemed like his butler Mr. Field, but he was more of a douche than Walt.

"So, how did she look? Worried, tired?" I asked as I sat down across from Walt in a chair. "She looked extremely tired, but when she saw me, I could hear her feet and heart stammer all around the house before looking out the window again." Walt chuckled, Christina was a paranoid little child.

"Well then... what exactly brings you here then Walt?"
