❝I'm an angel, but I still have my demons❞

"So you and Damon.."
"Yup."
"Then you and Stefan.."
"Yup."
"And now?" I asked, looking over at Elena as her eyes were glued to the ceiling.
"And now.. I'm confused. I'm not sure if Stefan is with humanity and I can't tell if Damon will lose his because of what I said." She whined. I let out a sigh and turn on my side, facing her.
"I have something you should know." I mumbled, but she didn't hear me.
"I should call him." She suggested and sat up from the bed dialing his number.
"Elena, that is such a bad move!" I try to take the phone from her, but she stands up from the bed and walk to her window, knowing I don't have enough strength to get up. I huff as I hear her leave a depressing voicemail. I'm trying to tell enough people, so I don't feel alone, but hearing Elena only talk about her Salvatore problem was irritating.
She ended her voicemail and landed her eyes on me, "What did you want to tell me?"
"Nothing. Just nothing."

"And I win, so you can suck on that!" I jump up, tossing the controller on the couch. Dylan chuckled at my amusement, watching as I jumped onto the couch. "Cough up." I cheer with my hand held out. He digs into his pocket and takes out ten dollars.
"I let you win." He scoffed, placing the ten into my hand which I gladly took, "Mario Cart is easy anyways."
"You're just mad because you suck." I laughed, waving his money in his face.
"Rematch." He stated and I laughed.
"You can't. I won already, Dylan."
"Then give me back my money." He smirked, but I shook my head. "I will attack you."
"I would like to see you-" He tackled me to the ground, before I got to finish. He tickled my sides, making me scream into a fit of laughter. "Stop!" I breath out, trying to catch a breath, but he kept tickling me.
"Not until you give it to me." I didn't realize how he legs were straddling my waist.
"Never!" He let go of my sides and got off me, only to sit across from me. "You're such a sore loser."
"Eh, when it comes to some things." He shrugged, looking into my eyes intensely. Or that's what I thought when he bit his lips and everything became quiet around us.
He begins to lean in close and then I think of all the bad things if I get too involved with him; one is mainly him dying on my watch and I experience enough death so far.
I'm forced out of my thoughts when his lips fan over mine. I take in a deep breath, as his hands land on beside my face. I shouldn't let this happen. What if I put him in danger and he's harmed by my actions?
But as his lips touch mine, all my worries fade and all I'm focused is how gentle the kiss was. This has been the first guy that I've liked since Tyler and it felt great; moving on. Not being wrapped up in jealousy and hate was relieving. And the kiss was great and it was distraction.
Until my phone rang.
I break away first and grab my phone from the couch, seeing it was Damon, "Hello?" I answered as Dylan stood, fixing his flannel. I look up at him as he stood around awkwardly, scratching his head.
"I need you to distract Klaus at the grill." Damon told me.
"And why would I do that?"
"For the human race and independence." I could tell he was smirking past his sarcasm.
"Whatever." I huff and hang up. Dylan was sitting on the couch
"I have to get going." Dylan spoke, "I have to pick up my brother, Scott, then go to the station to meet with my dad." He explained and I nodded, standing up. He stood up from the couch, and hesitantly leaned towards me and kissed my cheek subtly. "I'll see you, later."
"Okay." I smiled and he leaves my house, his engine turning on a few seconds later. I rush upstairs and towards my closet, changing out of my sweatpants. I would be in complete and utter embarrassment if I walked outside in sweats. Even when I was loner, I still had good fashion sense. I put on a black high waisted skirt with a grey round neck shirt tucked in it.
I grab my leather jacket and put on my black wedges before taking my hair out of a messy ponytail. With one look in the mirror, I grab my phone and head down to my car. Dylan's car was gone when I got into my jeep and drove off to the grill.
I'm partially nervous to face Klaus because last night after I asked him about banshees and about my ancestry, he mention how it skips generations in my family the females. It was on my father's side of the family, so it clarified why he wanted to speak to me. But, then Klaus mentioned how a banshee can kill a person with her scream, and it's lethal.
Of course, I knew I shouldn't have went to Klaus in the first place, but he knows more than anyone else I know. He's more fond of me now, which is why I'm concerned. I didn't tell the Salvatore's because I didn't want to be used as some fortune teller or psychic.
I make it to the grill and walk inside, seeing Klaus with Kol at the bar. Great! I glance over to my right and see Meredith with Alaric, before I walk up to the bar.
"Hello, Rowan." Klaus greeted, a smiled on his face.
Kol sipped his drink and smiled my way, "Don't you look lovely. Plans?"
"I did.." I trailed off, now realizing I'm going to have to distract them both.
"Why don't you sit with us then," Kol suggested, "Have a drink."
"I'll rather die of thirst." I smirk, "No offense."
"None taken, love." He shrugged, a cheeky grin on his face. Klaus growled loudly and Kol let out a laugh, "Cat caught your tongue, Nik?"
"Nope. I just need to talk to Rowan for a moment." He stood up straight, "Don't go doing something stupid, Kol." He warned, grabbing my arm and dragging me outside the grill.
I rip away from him and turn to face him, "Did you tell anyone?"
"And why would I do that, sweetheart?" He asked, a smug look on his face. "You asked for my help to know more information and I'm here to give."
"Good." I sighed, crossing my arms over my chest.
"Are you cold? Do you want to go back inside?"
I drop my arms and shake off the cold feeling, "No, I don't need anymore people knowing."
"I thought everyone knew." He said, surprised when I shook my head, "Why'd you come to me then? Why not Bonnie, the Bennett witch?"
"I don't know." I mumbled, but he walked up to me, a smirk on his face.
"I think you know, but you don't want to tell me." He let out a light chuckle, "I think you told me because you trust me more than the others."
"I think that's the most foolish thing I've heard all day." I laughed, "I can't trust you."
"Then you wouldn't have told me last night. You asked me, not the other way around. You trust me because then you would have told Elena first." I clicked my tongue on my teeth, turning away from him.
"If you aren't going to give the valuable information I need, then just leave me alone, because I don't need you for anything else."
"You sure? Because I still have my theory about you being into bad guys."
"Can you shut up about that?" I groaned, stomping on the ground stubbornly. "And by the way, you aren't bad."
"How so?" He asked, offended. "I killed people." I sit down on the bench and he sits beside from me, his body turned to look at me.
"Okay, yeah, you've killed people and daggered your family, but that doesn't make you bad or evil." I pointed out, "And yeah, you've had your dark and sad times and you feel alone. But you aren't really dangerous, because I know you've cried once in a blue moon and it shows you're human. You're a monster, yes, I can say that. But not all monsters do monstrous things because if you were a true monster, you would have killed me on prank night."
"You don't know what you're talking about." He growled, showing that I hit his soft spot, which I smiled at.
"Or do I?" I smirked.
"What are you, some psychic?"
"Genius, yes. Psychic? No." He laughs with me, but then he stood up suddenly. He placed his hands over his heart. "What's wrong?" I asked, standing up.
He turned to me and gripped my shoulders tightly, "What did you do?"
"What? What do you-"
"What did you do!" He yelled, squeezing my shoulders tightly.
"What are you talking about? I don't know!" I whimpered, "I didn't do anything! You're hurting me." Sympathy ran over his face before he let go, pushing me away slightly.
I back away from him, keeping my space.
"Kol." He turned to me, "No hard feelings." He speeds toward me and makes me hit my head, hard.

I gain consciousness, getting a pounding headache when I open my eyes. They immediately dart towards the ceiling before they landed on Klaus who sat at the end of the bed. At first, I try to figure out how he was invited in my house, but then I realize I'm not at my house. I'm in his room.
"You're finally up." Klaus said, making me roll my eyes as I scooted up on the bed.
"You're a dick." My legs swing over the bed and I try to stand up, but Klaus comes to my aid when I stumble over.
"I didn't mean to knock you out that hard, sweetheart." He laughed softly, "Are you okay?"
"No, I'm not okay. We're in the middle of having a decent conversation, then you go berserk and attack me. Definitely not okay."
