"Hurts... But I'll manage."

You

"I want you to look for the others. While you do that, I'll take care of the archon."

Kazuha

"The 'archon'? I was expecting 'mom' or something."

You

"No... She is not my mother. I'll never look at her that way again."

Kazuha

"... Got it."

Going up against the Electro Archon was not going to be easy. You were merely a hopeless trainee who had only been with her for not too long.

Ei

"You have no chance against me."

You

"Ei, don't get me wrong, I don't want to fight."

Ei

"Lies. You started this."

You

"I started this? What you're doing is wrong. 'Vision Hunt Decree' my ass."

Ei

"Oh, and you're only realizing this now?"

You

"... I've realized what's wrong and what's right. I think-"

Ei

"You think? See, you're not even sure. I really hoped that this day would never come, Y/N."

You

"Neither did I, but I'm trying to make a decision, and you're not letting me."

Ei

"..."

She didn't respond. Perhaps she realized you were right, but you knew it wouldn't be that easy to convince her.

 You

"... Ei?"

There was a little hesitation before you understood she was about to unleash one of her most powerful movements. There was no way you were going to make it, and there was nowhere to flee.

You

Is she really going to kill me?!...

You noticed a strong, blazing purple aura around her and her weapon as she pulled it from her chest, preparing to strike you and your surroundings. The trees around you had all fallen, and you were near the edge of the fissure in the earth created by Ei's attack earlier.

She stopped before drawing her blade fully until she felt something smack the back of her skull.

She was locked in place as a little pebble tripped by her shoes.

Gorou

"Did I do it?! Kokomi, did I do it?!"

Kokomi

"Shh!..."

You had discovered the bushes in front of where Ei was standing. Kazuha found them. Fortunately, they were not caught up in the huge calamity when the Wangshuu Inn crumbled. Gorou had picked up a stone from the ground and thrown it directly toward Ei's head. 

That was the most unexpected thing to happen in this situation, yet it appeared to be working?...

Ei

"Tsk..."

Gorou

"Ooh... I don't like the way she's looking at me..."

Beidou

"I don't like it either, and I'm not even the one she's looking at."

Gorou

"Oh, man!..."

Kazuha

"It's good I found you all quickly."

You couldn't express the sense of relief and delight you felt right then and there, despite the fact that you were certain you were going to die just then.

While Ei was mostly staring the others down, you took advantage of the situation by hurling your blade directly at her face. But then again, it's the Electro Archon, and she's not going down easily, especially from someone like you.

Ei used her weapon to deflect your sword's strike. You just wanted to run. It was really your only option. You dashed over to the others and yelled at them to run as fast as they could.

You were well aware that you had no chance against her. Obviously, not just you, but everyone else. Ei didn't even consider running after you as you all ran. She simply turned around and gazed fiercely in the direction you were heading.

Gorou

"N/N, where are we going?!"

You

"I don't know, we just need to get away from here!"

Kujuo Sara

"Not so fast..."

Kujuo Sara had just emerged from the wreckage of the Inn. She was trapped beneath but managed to wriggle her way out, despite having damaged limbs. She readied her bow and drew an arrow, aiming to hit at least one of you.

She squeezed her injured hand, wincing in pain, and then let go of her bow, allowing the arrow to fly right towards your direction.

Beidou began to slow down when she noticed blood streaming down her back and the track she was creating on the grass.

You

"... Beidou?..."

Beidou

"I'm bleeding?..."

She fell face forward, creating a thud sound as her body impacted the ground.

Kazuha

"Beidou!"

You

"Shit!"

Kokomi

"She got shot with an arrow!"

Ei

"Well done, Sara."

Ei said as she began to go in your direction. She was walking slowly, but it took a long time for you to carefully lift Beidou without further damaging her back. Kujuo Sara only shot one arrow, but even that fatigued her, and she collapsed on her knees, seeing Ei leave her side.

You

"Come on - we're going to carry her until we find someplace safe!"

While Beidou was still on the ground, she yanked the arrow right out of her back, a disgruntled expression on her face.

Gorou

"Beidou?!"

Beidou

"I had to do it quickly... So it would be painless."

You ripped a long section of your shirt, hearing the fabric tear. You couldn't care less as you were wearing the clothing Ei had given you. You peered to the side, watching Ei walking slowly but surely closer by the second.

You

"Okay, Beidou, just hold on a little longer, yeah?"

Beidou exhaled, trying to withstand the stinging sensation in her back.

Beidou

"Yeah- Yeah I'm holding up..."

You were trembling as you looked at Ei, then back to Beidou's bleeding wound as she sat on the ground. Fortunately, the arrow was not shot too deeply. The wound was not severe enough to render her immobile. 

Ei was approaching, and just as she was ready to swing her sword, you finished stitching up Beidou, took her hand, and kept fleeing with the rest.

"Beidou, can you run?"

Beidou

"... I'm trying."

You and Kazuha held her together as she limped like a dog with a broken leg, her arms wrapped over each of your shoulders.

Something wasn't right. Obviously, something was wrong with Beidou, but the same could be said with Ei. She didn't appear to be in a hurry to catch up with you; in fact, she appeared to be slowing down in some ways.

Kazuha

"... No, no, no..."

Beidou's arms dropped as you were staring back at Ei, and Kazuha was straining to lift her back up.

Kazuha

"Beidou, you have to get up!"

You

"Shit! Is she unconscious?!"

Kazuha

"I don't know!... She isn't moving!"

Ei was still approaching you slowly, and Gorou and Kokomi were so far ahead. They had no idea you had stopped. You and Kazuha did everything to wake her up, but nothing worked.
