Wangshuu Inn's whole structure collapsed and fell to the ground. Kazuha quickly crawled over to you given that he was right next to you and pulled you close to his chest. You both tightly closed your eyes out of fear for your protection. 

Kazuha and you both were too terrified to move at all. He believed that by holding you, you might feel a little safer.

After the thunderous collision sounds subsided, you gradually opened your eyes. Kazuha and you were covered in a thick layer of dust.

You

"... Kazuha."

Kazuha remained silent, he thought he was dead.

You

"It's over now... I hope?"

After a few coughs from breathing in all that dust, you helped Kazuha stand up.

You

"Are you alright?"

Kazuha

"Yes... I think so..."

While Kazuha was a little unsteady, you stopped him from falling.

You then heard him wince from some sort of pain, but you had checked him for any injuries and he had none. 

... Until you saw the entire right side of his head covered in blood.

You

"What the hell do you mean 'I'm fine', you hit your head! Badly!"

Kazuha

"I did?"

You

"Shit... Well- We'll take care of it when we get out of here. We're under attack, we have to run."

Kazuha

"But what about... The others?"

You had been so concerned with Kazuha that you had completely forgotten about the other people, the innocent people whose lives were in jeopardy.

No one responded when you called their names. You were becoming agitated and anxious. Kazuha wasn't fully conscious; he was tuning in and out. While searching everywhere and breathing in copious amounts of dust, the horrible image of your dead comrades kept playing in your thoughts.

You

"Kazuha, don't fall asleep. I don't want to do this alone."

Kazuha

"Hm... Head hurts..."

You

"Shh... We'll be safe soon."

You didn't have much trust in what you were saying. Kazuha had only just recovered from a concussion, and now he was experiencing another one that was worse than the one he had previously.

You

"Are you able to stand?"

Kazuha

"..."

You

"... I guess not."

Kazuha toppled over as you sought to prop him up like a beach umbrella, landing on you. Your hand was supporting him on his waist as his arm was around your body. In an effort to get at least one of the others to answer, you kept calling out their names. 

Even if it was Richie, the random dog at the Inn who took a liking to you at one point.

You

"Shit... They can't be dead... Maybe they're just knocked out, or maybe they were captured?... Kazuha?"

Kazuha

"Mhm... Hmm..."

He mumbled.

Ei

"So in the end, you really are a traitor."

Kazuha was awakened by your mother figure's recognizable voice. His head was fairly clear enough to comprehend what was happening, and his eyes were no longer hazy. He turned back, wiped the blood from his head, and then got to his feet.

You

"..."

You were overwhelmed with terror and were at a loss for words. You wanted to tell her that you couldn't stand to be with her for another day, but you were afraid that it wouldn't go well if you did.

Ei

"Say something, Y/N. Aren't you the same person who hoped Kaedehara Kazuha would rot in jail?"

Kazuha

"The Raiden Shogun..."

Kazuha pulled his blade without hesitation. You placed your hand on his, signalling him to put it away.

You

"Kazuha, you know you're no match for the Electro Archon. We together wouldn't even be able to defeat her."

Ei

"Surely you aren't going to leave me, isn't that right, Y/N?"

As Ei approached, you began to back away, and Kazuha followed.

Ei

"Answer me, Y/N. All the time we spent together isn't going to waste, I hope."

Kazuha

"Quiet! Y/N doesn't want to stay with you, monster!"

Ei

"... Monster? I am no monster to Y/N. I am simply their mother figure."

Kazuha

"Wrong! You're manipulating them!"

You

"Manipulating?"

You were certain you'd heard that word before. Ei had explained what it meant and how Kazuha was manipulating you, using you. Things were the other way around on this occasion.

Ei

"I am simply teaching Y/N their rights and their wrongs."

Kazuha

"Y/N, tell her how you really feel!"

Kazuha was enraged. He despised just seeing Ei's face, hearing her words.

You

"I..."

Ei

"Y/N, tell me. The night you went missing and worried everyone, did you run, or were you taken?"

Kazuha

"They were-"

Ei

"Quiet."

Ei was holding the blade of her polearm to Kazuha's neck at the speed of light, freezing him in place.

Ei

"This question is for Y/N to answer, not you."

You

"Ei, stop it!"

Ei

"I shall stop when you decide to be honest with me. If you don't, you know what happens to Kazuha's precious head."

You

"But..."

Ei

"But what?"

You

"I don't know..."

Ei narrowed her brows and pressed harder on Kazuha's neck, creating a tiny cut, trickling blood down his neck.

Ei

"I'm going to assume you won't care if Kazuha's head is torn from his own body right in front of your eyes, is that what you're trying to imply here?"

You

"No! I never said that!"

Ei

"Then answer me."

You

"I don't want to stay with you anymore!"

You yelled, and there was a prolonged silence that followed.

You

"Ei, I want you to let Kazuha go. You're going to tell me where my other friends are, and you're going to go back to Inazuma."

Ei

"... Are you telling me what to do?"

"No, Kazuha did not manipulate me. He did not use me in any way. You did."

You nodded.

"You lied to me."

Ei shook her head, pressing her index and thumb fingers against her nose bridge.

Ei

*Sigh* "This boy really has done something to your head, huh?"

You were terrified, you had never spoken back to Ei before.

She twirled the polearm in her palm and was ready to plunge it clean through Kazuha's torso when you came up to the two of them and jumped on Ei. You weren't sure whether she had the courage to injure her own "kid", but you'd heard the stories of Kunikuzushi and weren't convinced.

You lifted yourself up, grabbed Kazuha, and bolted. Ei didn't hesitate and broke the landscape in half with absolutely no effort, creating a massive fracture in the earth.

Kazuha

"Holy shit..."

You

"That's the Electro Archon for you..."
