Several weeks had passed since Y/n had started staying with Minhyuk and Nayeon. Today marked the first day of her new school life, a decision she initially hesitated to make, not wanting to burden her kind hosts. However, Minhyuk's insistence had convinced Y/n to agree to attend school.

After finishing her morning preparations, Y/n gathered her bag and necessary belongings before making her way downstairs.

"Good morning, dear," Nayeon greeted her with a bright smile.

"Good morning, Unnie," Y/n replied, returning the warm smile.

"I've prepared your breakfast. Here it is, make sure you eat all of it," Nayeon placed a plate of French toast and fruit in front of Y/n.

"Thank you, Unnie," Y/n expressed her gratitude.

Nayeon playfully chided her, "Again? Didn't we already tell you, you're like family to us? So, thank us."

Minhyuk, who had just joined the scene, inquired, "What are my beautiful ladies talking about?"

"Good morning, Oppa," Y/n chimed.

"Very good morning, munchkin," Minhyuk replied with affection.

"Dear, complete your food quickly, alright, or else you'll be late for school," Nayeon advised, encouraging Y/n to eat faster.

"Oh, my Y/n, eat slowly. It's okay to be late for school," Minhyuk said, his concern for Y/n's well-being evident.

"But we don't want our little munchkin having an upset stomach, do we?" Minhyuk added, making Nayeon and Y/n chuckle.

Having finished her meal, Y/n placed her plate in the sink and began washing it. However, Nayeon intervened, "Dear, what are you doing? Let me do that for you."

"But," Y/n attempted to protest before Nayeon interrupted her.

"No 'buts,' dear. Go dry your hands. Minhyuk might be waiting for you," Nayeon insisted.

"Are we ready to go, munchkin?" Minhyuk asked as Y/n emerged from the kitchen.

"Yes, Oppa, I am ready," Y/n replied.

"Honey we're going," Minhyuk announced.

"I'm coming, give me a minute," Nayeon's voice echoed from the kitchen.

Nayeon soon joined them, holding a lunchbox for Y/n. With a warm smile, she said, "Bun, here's your lunch."

"Nayeon, Y/n come on we're getting late," Minhyuk urged, their departure imminent. After locking the door, they headed towards the car and took their respective seats.

"We're here, munchkin," Minhyuk announced as they arrived at the school.

"Enjoy your day," Nayeon encouraged.

"Best of luck, dear," Nayeon added, her smile reminiscent of Y/n's appa, Jungkook.

"Munchkin, if some guy tries to bully you, tell your Oppa, okay? I'll break their bones!" Minhyuk declared, throwing playful punches in the air.

"Yeah, honey, no fighting," Nayeon warned, her concern for Y/n's safety evident.

"And, bun, don't forget to eat your lunch, okay?" Nayeon reminded her, offering a final piece of advice.

Y/n nodded appreciatively before exiting the car. "Unnie, don't worry; I'll finish the lunch. How can I leave the yummy food made by my beautiful Unnie?" she smiled, her affection for Nayeon evident.

"I'll walk back home, you don't need to come to pick me up," Y/n insisted before waving to Nayeon and Minhyuk and dashing towards the school office.

As she hurriedly navigated the school grounds, Y/n inadvertently bumped into someone. Quickly regaining her composure, she dusted off her clothes and offered a bow of apology. "I'm really sorry; I didn't mean to bump into you."

"It's alright; it was my fault too," the other person replied.

"By the way, are you new here?" the stranger inquired.

"Yes, I am. Can you please tell me where the office is?" Y/n requested.

"Sure, follow me," the friendly stranger offered.

"Thank you so much, Felix, for guiding me to the office," Y/n expressed her gratitude, bowing once again.

"Don't mention it," Felix replied, his smile warm. "I'll wait here for you; you can go and get your locker number and other things."

Y/n hesitated but ultimately agreed, "Alright." With that, she left to attend to her school affairs.

After thanking Felix, Y/n ventured further into the school, seeking out the administrative office to complete her enrollment. She found herself amidst a throng of students, each bustling with the energy of a new school day. The air was filled with the sound of friendly chatter, laughter, and the occasional teacher's voice calling out instructions.

Finally, she located the office and entered to complete her registration. The school staff was welcoming, guiding her through the process, providing her with a schedule, locker assignment, and all the necessary information. The sense of starting anew was both exciting and nerve-wracking.

Once she was done with her administrative tasks, Y/n made her way back to where Felix was waiting, still holding her belongings. He greeted her with a warm smile as she approached.

"Everything sorted?" Felix asked, genuinely curious.

Y/n nodded, her own smile brightening her face. "Yes, thanks to your help, Felix. I really appreciate it."

"No problem at all," he replied, his expression friendly. "So, do you know where your first class is?"

She hesitated for a moment, a touch of uncertainty in her eyes. "Not yet, actually. I was planning to check my schedule."

Felix extended a hand towards her phone, which she'd placed in her bag. "May I?"

Y/n handed her phone to him, and he skillfully navigated to her schedule, revealing her classes for the day.

"Alright, looks like your first class is in room 203," he said, handing her phone back. "I can show you the way if you'd like."

Y/n was genuinely touched by Felix's kindness. "That would be amazing, Felix. Thank you."

As they made their way through the bustling halls, Y/n and Felix chatted about their interests, hobbies, and their respective backgrounds. Felix was not only friendly but also genuinely interested in getting to know her better, which put Y/n at ease.

Soon enough, they arrived at room 203. Felix pointed towards the door, offering a warm smile. "Here you go, Y/n. Your first class."

Y/n's smile mirrored his. "Thank you so much, Felix. You've been a lifesaver today."

Felix chuckled. "No problem at all. Have a great first day at school, and if you ever need help or someone to talk to, don't hesitate to find me."

"Will do," Y/n replied, grateful for her newfound friend. With that, she entered the classroom, embarking on her first day of school with a mixture of excitement and anticipation.

When the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, Y/n realized she had to make her way home. Remembering Felix's offer to help her find her way, she decided to approach him after class.

As Y/n stepped out of the classroom, she saw Felix waiting for her in the hallway. He smiled as he saw her approach.

"Hey, Y/n. How was your first day?" Felix inquired, his friendly demeanor putting her at ease.

Y/n couldn't help but smile back. "It was good, thanks to your help this morning."

Felix shrugged modestly. "I'm glad I could assist. So, do you need help finding your way home?"

Y/n hesitated for a moment, recalling her promise to Nayeon and Minhyuk. "Actually, I told them I'd walk back home today. They don't need to come pick me up."

Felix nodded understandingly. "Alright, then. If you ever need assistance in the future, just let me know. I'll be here."

Y/n appreciated his offer and felt fortunate to have made such a friendly acquaintance on her first day.
