▶ Part Five
Saïx's mind was blowing. He didn't sleep a wink all night; he dreamed of being back at the sea, of swimming in the back water that reflected the night. Even in his dreams that horrible creature appeared, destroying them and his sleep, causing him convulsions.
He had to kill that.
It was 6 a.m. and he walked slowly towards the basement stairs, with a knife in his hand. It didn't seem the most appropriate weapon but he had nothing else. He would't have liked to burn that creature as the smoke would have wreaked havoc in that dark, enclosed basement.
As he thought, the creature wasn't quite asleep; it was more in a state of trance. It stayed at the back of the room and the man opened the cage slowly.
Finally, his problems would be solved.
<Feed me> he heard and stopped immediately. That creature has spoken from the deepest of its throat, opening its bright eyes.
When it stood up, the mand noticed that it was a little taller than him and its flowing blue hair almost touched the ground.
It spread its misshapen and black arms, as if in a warm invitation, without allowing the man to retreat. It engulfed him in his soul as black as the night and suddenly there was no trace of him.
