The young Bengali laid on the street, softly sniffing as tears rolled down her face. Her face was covered in dirt, her tears cleaned some of the dirt. Her clothes were torn up as well as her dignity. She felt ashamed of herself. Blood was dripping from between her legs. She should've defended herself.
Beyond the recent pain, she had been starving for what seemed like months. She hadn't even seen food in months. The person she hated most, George had done this to her. He stole her wealth. He stole her food. He stole her dignity. She felt as if the world was wishing for her death, she had never imagined anything as gruesome as this.
Years ago, she used to stay in a big fort. She had everything she wanted. She had a feeling of safety as she was happy in her condition then. Now it's all become dust. It'll never come back and she knew it. Her family was falling apart, and she didn't know how to fix it.
Everything began to fuel her hatred for foreigners. First they come to their lands and then rule them as slaves. Who do they think they are? They deserve whatever bad comes their way.
Anusrita curled up, hugging her legs. Even that felt uncomfortable as the blood on her inner thighs made them sticky. She began to sob loudly for the whole world to hear her. She wanted them to know what pain she was put through with the famine. She wanted him to suffer one of the worst deaths.
He deserved it for all he had done. Anusrita swore one day she would get her revenge on him. It was all his fault the once lively streets of Calcutta were filled with dead bodies of the victims of the famine. Everything went down so quickly she didn't even realize when her life went from the best to the worst.
She wasn't even going to attempt to get up, it caused her too much pain to try. But as her crying started to slow down, her pitiful eyes were now filled with a burning hatred and disgust for everyone. She began to feel a loss of emotions for others. The foreigners had finally broken her after their attempts. She felt a loss of empathy as she looked at her own condition and shredded clothes. Despite not having the strength to get up, she was going to fight back until her final breath. She wasn't letting him get away with such actions as easily as he thought he would.
Her throat felt sore but she coughed twice and managed to muster a few words.
