Drumming of the rain continued as the pair stood in front of their parent's graves respectively. Neither spoke to the other, for what the past included didn't allow one to forgive the other. Ae-Cha was the one who didn't forgive Kiyoko. She couldn't, she saw what happened to her mother by the hands of Kiyoko's own mother. Despite public apologies, Kiyoko hadn't actually bothered to apologize to Ae-Cha personally.
Kiyoko knew no matter what, she wasn't going to be forgiven. She may not have been the one committing atrocities—her mother was— But she felt guilty. She didn't realize the power of forgiveness. Ae-Cha knew there was no reversing things and knew her mother wasn't coming back, neither did she blame Kiyoko for her mother's doings, all she wanted was an apology so she could move on in peace.
Alas it wasn't happening, and Kiyoko hated her. Neither's people liked each other, they were xenophobic to each other in often cases. It was upsetting to know how things were. Kiyoko stood silently as Ae-Cha fell to her knees and began to cry, mud getting over her dress as her tears mixed with the rain droplets on her face. Kiyoko stood as still as a statue as Ae-Cha kept wailing. She felt guilt for the Korean, seeing who caused the death of Ae-Cha's mother.
But alas, till this very day, the hatred continues.
