Episode 2 Part 2
◇Lies and Antidote◇

The cafeteria was full and noisy as usual. My focus is on Stella and Sky who were showing the rest of the girls a map.  Stella's attitudes irritating me more and more. She is becoming more arrogant and thinks that people should do everything she wants just because she is the queen's daughter. Luna is creating a miniature monster of her.

Already tired of just looking, I go down from the second floor towards them. Bloom gets up and leaves. I noticed the way Sky looked at her. The way the two look at each other.

There's something there.

Soon Sky goes after Bloom leaving Stella behind.

When she went to turn around, she almost bumped into me.  Realizing it was me, her body tensed and held her breath.  Her emotions were a mess of fear and nervousness.

"Do I need to drag you, or will you walk on your own?" I ask in a low voice not wanting to draw more attention. The other students looked and whispered. I look around before turning around hearing Stella follow me.

I lead her to a classroom that was empty. As soon as I closed the door Stella started trying to explain herself. I raised my hand in a signal for her to be quiet.

"I don't want to hear a single sound coming out of you right now" Stella swallowed hard. Knowing she had crossed the line "You're gonna sit your ass in that chair and listen in silence"

After she sat down I stopped in front of her with my hands on the table.

"I still can't believe what you did yesterday Stella. Jealousy. Out of jealousy you lent Solaria's ring, a crown jewel that was under YOUR responsibility" she had her head down and was silent as I commanded. "If I hadn't arrived in time, Bloom would be dead. Do you have any idea of what that means? Can you understand that? She could be dead and that's because of your stupid, childish jealousy. Sky is not an object. He's a person. Try to grow awareness and responsibility in that hollow head of yours. And don't forget common sense" I sighed straightening my posture "You're the oldest Stella.You should guide and be mature. I know you're only seventeen, but you need to grow up a little in here" I point to her head.

"Verena I'm sorry" She tried to say.

"It's not me you have to apologize to Stella. It's the girl who almost died yesterday."

Thinking I've said enough for now, I head for the door leaving her to her own thoughts. But before getting out, I turn to her again.

"You better stay inside this school and don't risk anyone's life for YOUR mistake. As soon as I can, I'll get that damn ring"

I look around making sure I was alone before entering the east wing. A few seconds later I find the closed room.

"Lena!" I barely close the door and I already have a small and delicate body hugging me tight.

"Little hurricane" I hug back giving you a kiss on the forehead

We pull away and I look her up and down.

"Cute outfit" I compliment

She smiled pulling me to sit with her while we waited.

"How are the classes?"  I ask after I settle down.

"Bullshit. I thought it would be bad, but not so decadent" she complained, rolling hex eyes and throwing her head back.

"Of course you think so" I agree with a laugh "What they're learning now you've known since you were little"

Minutes passed and Beatrix complained about Dawling, and how childish the others were. As if she were an adult. But I won't spoil her happiness.

At least not now.

"She's taking too long" She huffed after checking her phone for the seventh time.

Two seconds later the door opens revealing the blonde girl we've been waiting for.

Speaking of the devil.

"Hello Viperine" I greet with a relaxed smile "I almost thought I got caught"

I notice that her hair is messier than usual, her lips are swollen and her breathing is panting. As she got closer I could smell a familiar scent.

"And I wasn't entirely wrong" I smirk "Someone really got you" I couldn't hold back my laughter as her cheeks flushed a little.

"It's what they say, all means are valid in love and war" sat with us.

"Did you find the passage? Did you open it?"  Beatrix ask impatiently.

"I found where it is, but I couldn't open it" She huffed crossing her arms "A fairy needs to activate it, and there's also the trap"

"This is better than nothing" I bite my lip thinking about what to do "Let's change things. Viperine you focus on making statues. Beatrix you try to open the passage. And ask Callum to help you. That useless guy needs to do something"

"I wouldn't call what I do to those people statues" exclaimed Viperine, clearly offended.

"And what would you call it?" I raise my eyebrows smiling cynically

"I would call it living art" She replied returning the smile

"And when am I going to do that?" asked Beatrix "We need all teachers and students to be distracted"

"We need something big. I'll think of something" I say trying to put something together in my head.

"And what are you supposed to expect us to do until then?"  asked Viperine

"But what about the Burned One in the Barn? What are you going to do with it?" Beatrix asked almost interrupting the blonde

"Silva wants to transfer him away" I reply

"What's far for you? Omega dimension?"  asked Viperine

"Let's release it then. It will be a good distraction" Beatrix suggested making us ignore Viperine. Again.

"No! We're not going to risk anyone getting hurt" I deny it, not liking the idea "I'll think of something that doesn't involve The Burned One. You two focus on your classes and what I said"

"Are you kidding?" exclaimed Viperine. "Release it or not, someone always ends up getting hurt. Does it make a difference in the end?"

"It makes a difference when one of them is my toy"

The two of them look at each other, smiling mischievously.

"What if Dawling finds the antidote?" ask Beatrix with a strange face "It won't be worth it to petrify the students"

"Of course, it's worth pretrifying them. I handpick them, they are the ones I don't like and I don't think it will make any difference dead or alive" replied Viperine

I get up approaching her.  I cross my arms and make my eyes glow red.

"You better watch out girl. The last thing you want is for someone to see you and spread the word. If I have to clean up this school because you were careless, you'll regret it," I warn in a low voice.

She shifted uncomfortably in her chair and huffed, rolling her eyes. She looked like a child.

"And Dawling is not after the antidote" I walk away from the blonde answering Beatrix "I said to leave this with me along with informing the parents" I explain

"So you're after the antidote and you're going to be wasting Viperine's energy to petrify the students?"

"And do I have anything else to do here?"  Viperine glared at me "The orders I received were for me to make sure they didn't see us. How would I do that if I didn't make sure they never spoke again?"

I let out a laugh, not believing they still don't understand.

"No one outside this school knows what happened.  And there's no one after the antidote.  Why run after something I already have?" I smile evilly leaning against the table "As long as Rosalind is not free, no one will receive not even a drop of it"

After three rings he answered the call.

"I thought I told you to check in with me regularly. It's been days" The man on the other side of the telenote scolded me
"We were worried they'd found out about you." He sighed.

"Do you really think this will happen?  Where's the trust?" he let out a laugh "Sorry about that. been busy"

"I know. But you know Cassian gets impatient when you don't call."

"How is he?"

"Missing you and in a bad mood. He won't stop asking for you"

"Let me talk to him" I asked sitting down in the chair in Saul's office, grateful he wasn't around"

A few seconds later I hear the voice I miss so much. Talking to him made the longing grow even more. But it was also my incentive to keep going. As soon as he's safe, I'm going to end this damn bullshit.

Verena entered the office along with Farah and Saul.  He held the door with a small smile.  He was nervous and apprehensive.  Something good is not going to come out of this little meeting, and Verena could feel it.  She decided to wait and sat on the couch preparing herself for what was to come.

"I spoke with my contacts in the other realms. No other sightings of Burned ones." Saul started

"So ours was just a fluke?" Farah took a long breath.

"Maype, but it's a dangerous fluke. The captol's prison is more secure than ours and the queen would scan its memories if you asked"

"This is my schoo, Saul"

"Yes, it's a school and there's already gossip. And it's only a matter of time before the kids cross the Barrier to find it" tried to make her understand "Please, let's do this right." asked softly

Farah looked at Verena wanting to know her opinion.

"He's right Farah. We have to get this Burned One out of reach of the students as quick as possible. In fact, you should have let me kill it that night. So just agree" Verena said not bothering to be delicate

"Let me arrange with the queen's army to transport it sately"

Saul explained causing the brunette to look at him with raised eyebrows.

"You mean us, right? I'm going with you" Verena says getting up and crossing her arms.

"No. You're staying here" he replied authoritatively.

"Excuse me?" Verena was in disbelief. Hoping this was a silly prank.  But unfortunately she knew it wasn't. "I am going with you" She insisted.

"No! You are not" He raised his voice. Big mistake.

Verena shook her head before leaving the office slamming the door behind her. Saul sighed looking at Farah before following the brunette down the hall.

I can't believe what just happened.  A few seconds later I hear someone following me.

"Celeste wait" I ignored it and kept walking until we reached our room.

Just because we're together doesn't mean he has the right to yell at me or say what I do or don't do.

I walked into the room leaving the door open for him.  When Saul closed the door I turned to him with my arms crossed waiting for him to start talking.

"Sorry for yelling." He asked regretfully.

"You know I don't like it"

"I know. I know. Sorry love." He tries to get closer but I take a few steps back opening up more space between us.

"And what makes you think I'm going to let you go without me? I caught that thing. I have every right to be there with you. Other than that I'm part of Solaria's guard."

"I know. But I need you here. Safe."

"No. You need me there. Along with you. To make sure everything goes well." I tried to argue.

"No. No. The last thing I need is you near a Burned One."

"He'll be unconscious Saul."

"It doesn't matter. Look, I don't have a good feeling."

"Me too and that's exactly why I have to go. I'm not going to stand here in Alfea like a fool. And I won't be able to do anything worrying about you."

"And I won't be able to concentrate if I'm worried about you. I'll be more relaxed knowing you're here. Safe."  What a damn stubborn man.

I cover my face with my hands, not knowing what else to say.  I hear his footsteps approaching me. He takes my hands away from my face but I couldn't look at him now, so I kept my eyes closed. One of his hands started to caress my face and his other arm went around my waist, gluing our bodies together.  I place my hands on his chest without trying to push him away.

"Angel look at me." I shake my head "Please" I deny it again.  His voice was a low, affectionate whisper. If I opened my eyes and looked into his, I would give up and agree with him.

He kissed my forehead, my cheeks, and my nose. Then he touched our foreheads. His breath mingled with mine, our noses touching, and our lips brushing together as he kept whispering asking me to open my eyes for him. Realizing it wasn't working he decided to change tactics. He lowered his head further and started to give little pecks on my neck. This didn't last long and he soon started biting and giving hickeys.  His hand that was on my face went to the back of my neck pulling my hair, making me tilt my head so he had more space. And his hand on my waist went down to my ass giving a strong squeeze making me gasp. When his mouth got to my most sensitive spot he focused there. I couldn't hold back the gasps and had to bite my lip to keep from making a noise. My neck was my weak point and he knows it very well. Saul knows my body better than anyone. He knew how to make me forget my own name. But I didn't want to give up. Then I pushed him free of his arms.

"You're not doing this to me."  I say still not looking at him.

I grab my towel and head to the bathroom to take a shower.  He called me but I ignored it again locking the door. After taking a shower and brushing my teeth I go back to the bedroom and put on just one of Saul's shirts. Still not talking to him. I hear him sigh before he goes to shower too. When he leaves I'm already in bed. When he lays down next to me I turn around so my back is to him. He takes another breath and I know he's staring at me.

"Angel please........" he tried

"You want to go without me, fine. Do it your way." I Interrupt giving up fighting.

I know I'm being childish.  But I feel that something bad is going to happen.  And just imagining something happening to him made me lose my mind.

He was silent for a few seconds. So I thought he had given up too. It was stupid of me because this man hates to give up. I closed my eyes to try to sleep but opened them again from the shock of being turned over, and having Saul on top of me holding my arms beside my head. I look at him in surprise, on his face there was a victorious smile. That smile only lasted a few seconds before he got serious again.

"I know you're worried about me. And that you hate being left out of things. But please just this once, stay here?"  he asked caressing my wrists "I promise I'll be careful. I'll be fine and I'll come back to you in one piece. And when I come back, I'll make us dinner and we'll forget about it. Okay?"

I just nodded my head and rolled my eyes trying to got out of his grip.

"I want words, Celeste" scolded me, squeezing my wrists lightly.

"I already told you to do it your way"I snort trying to free myself from him again "Could you please, let me go so we could sleep? You're going to have a busy day tomorrow"

"I have a better idea." He grinned mischievously running his hands down my body.

I burst out laughing when he starts poking my ribs. I squirm on the bed trying to get free. He only stopped when my eyes were watering and my voice was hoarse from laughing.

"I love to see you smiling" kissed my cheek "I love you" my smile died

We never said that to each other.  I never said that.  To no one but Cassian and my father.

My silence continued and his smile faded.  I wanted to say back.  But no sound came out.  He gave a disappointed sigh and lay down next to me getting ready to sleep.

Shit! Congratulations Verena.
