Silva woke up with a jump hearing screams and loud knocking on the front door. Rising in a hurry, he left his room, meeting everyone in the hallway. All on alert. Telling Lilura to stay with Cassian, Dorian threw a sword at Silva.

Everyone came down almost running. Armed and prepared for any attack. The banging and screaming at the door didn't stop.

When the door opened, Silva felt his stomach turn. His heart started to beat faster. Making his body throb with each beat.

Someone was carrying Verena, unconscious and covered in blood. The man who held her came in asking where he could put her. When they placed her on the sofa, Silva knelt beside her, looking closer. Her entire body was cut. She had a shard of glass on her forehead.

"What happened to her?" Silva almost screamed without taking his eyes off her

"We don't know" a female voice replied

Verena arched her back screaming. Scaring everyone around her. When she opened her eyes, they were glowing black.  Grabbing both sides of her head, she started to say something in a language no one knew. All the cuts on her body started to bleed again. Heavy raindrops fell from the sky. The wind almost rocking the house. Flashes of lightning nearly blinding those looking outside.

Upstairs, Lilura stared in horror at Cassian, who was staring into space. His eyes glowing black. Repeating the same unknown language his mother screamed.

Verena would wake up and pass out. Cassian was sick.  Everyone in the house was exhausted. Silva alternated between staying with Verena, waiting for her to wake up, and taking care of Cassian.

After a week, Verena got up on automatic. Ignoring the pain in her feet. As if it were any other day, she went to the bathroom undressing, turned on the hot shower and cleaned up. All wounds burned as the water doused her body.  The pain still being ignored.

After drying off, she tossed the now bloodied white towel on the floor and went to her closet to change into light, loose clothing.

For the first time since waking up, she looked at herself in the full-length mirror beside the door. Seeing the reflection of her own face, the memories came flooding back with such force that she felt as if she had received shocks. For the first time since she woke up, she was conscious. And she didn't ignore the pain. Realizing it was real. Every cut. Every drop of blood. It was real.

"Guys" Nicolai called the attention of everyone in the room "Are you feeling it?"

"What is it?" Silva asked

"I don't know" The blonde replied looking around, eyes wide "But it's not good"

Silva felt the air around him grow heavy. As if it wanted to crush them.

The silence was broken as all the windows shattered.

"Celeste" Silva mumbled and ran upstairs

The door slammed against the wall with a loud bang from being opened with so much force.

Verena was kneeling still staring at the mirror. Silva knew that look. Crouching down beside her, he caught her face turning to him.

"Celeste" Called in a low voice "Look at me" Even though her eyes were looking at him now, it seemed that she didn't see him "I need you to breathe again"

She heard. But her breathing came back fast and ragged.  Her eyes widened with tears.

"It's okay. You're okay" he said stroking her face.

Gradually Verena calmed down. And her vision was no longer empty. She was focused.

"Saul....?" whispered in a trembling voice

"That's it. It's me angel" He smiled relieved

"Your hair doesn't grow that much in a week..."

"What?" Silva was confused, losing his smile

"I know I was unconscious for a week. But your hair, it doesn't grow that fast"

"Verena..." Dorian tried to approach, being held by Nicolai

"How long, Saul?"

"What?"

"How long has it been since I left?" Silva gulped, hesitating "Saul answer me"

"Three months"

"What?" Verena muttered, looking for any sign that it said he was lying. She didn't find it.

"Celeste you disappeared for three months"
