After almost 5 years Manik and Nandini would meet like this, none of them ever thought in their life. Manik always wanted to meet Nandini once. But he had never thought he would meet Nandini in his hospital only when she is pregnant.

Manik and Nandini used to like each other. They were in the same school, though Manik was Nandini's senior. Their parents were also friends. They used to love each other but never got the courage to confess.

After finishing college Manik went to London to study medicine and Nandini remained here only. From that time distance occurred between them. Manik got really busy with his career and study. So, few years back they lost all the contact with each other.

In between Manik got the news of Nandini's marriage. He couldn't do anything that time. He just engaged himself more in his studies and try to forget Nandini in which he never succeeded. Manik with some of his friends opened this hospital. He was successful in his career but he could never take out Nandini from his heart.

Manik has always thought that he has lost Nandini. But today she is patient of his hospital. Manik saw Nandini's father in the reception, so he went towards him.

M: Uncle, what are you doing here?

ND: Manik beta, Nandini is pregnant. It's time for her delivery. So, she is admitted here. It's your hospital so please take care of her.

M: Don't worry. I will take care of everything.

Then Manik went and talk to Nandini's doctor that the patient is his relative.

Manik went near Nandini's cabin and kept staring him. He was wondering how much this girl has changed. Before she used to talk so much. Now she is quiet. The girl who used to take the whole house on her head even if she got a little cold and now she is bearing so much pain without saying anything.

Nandini's eyes fell on Manik who was standing near door. She got a bit shocked seeing him there. Then Manik came and stood beside Nandini. Her eyes got teary seeing him.

Manik kept his hand on Nandini's head and told, "Don't worry, Nandini. Everything will be okay."

Nandini held Manik's hand and told, "Manik, take care of my baby. Please save my baby. She should be okay."

Manik assured her, "Have faith on God. Everything will be okay."

All the while Manik was standing outside Nandini's delivery room. He noticed one thing that it's been long and no one from Nandini's in-laws or her husband came to see her. He went to Nandini's father and asked him about it. He also wanted to see who is Nandini's husband.

Wiping tears from his eyes, Nandini's father replied, "Nandini's fate is not good. She was married to a good family. But 6 months back, her husband died in an accident. Then we take her to our home. We and her in-laws did not want the baby to come. But you know how much stubborn she is!!! We had to agree. She has her whole life ahead.

She also took job in a private company so that she does not need to depend on anyone."

Manik was shocked hearing all this. Nandini amazed him. She was really afraid of darkness once and now she has become so strong.

After the delivery Nandini didn't face much problem but her baby who was a girl was facing many problem. Manik is child specialist so he took the case and used to spend all his time with the baby girl only. Seeing him like that everyone used to ask him who is the baby to him that he is so restless.

He didn't realized and told, "She's my daughter."

Manik just fell in love with Nandini's baby. He used to go to their place often and spend his time with her. After three months Manik took a decision that he will take the responsibility of Nandini's daughter and he will marry Nandini.

He told everyone about this and no one opposed. But Nandini was not ready to agree. She was adamant that she can take care of her daughter alone. When Nandini didn't hear anyone, Manik decided to talk to her himself.

M: What is your problem in marrying me?

N: I don't want your pity.

M: Who said I am pitying on you? I just want to fix my mistake which I did 5 years back. For my career, I let you go. Now I don't want to repeat my mistake again. And think about Muskaan once. Don't you want her to get father's affection and love like others?

I know you can take care of her alone, but how will you give her father's love? I want to be your daughter's father. Please Nandini don't deny more.

Then Nandini couldn't dent more and agreed for the marriage. Not only Nandini get her love back Muskaan also got her father in Manik.

"Mumma, when will daddy bear come?" hearing Muskaan's voice, Nandini came out of her flashback.

Today is Muskaan's fifth birthday. Manik had arranged a grand party for her but he got an emergency so he could not come. That's why Muskaan is now sitting puffing her cheeks angrily looking too cute. Seeing her so attached to Manik, Nandini remembered those past events.

Manik can't stay a single without Muskaan nor did she can.

After sometimes Manik came back home.

M: What is my princess doing?

Mu: Don't talk to me at all. Everyone left and I missed you so much while cutting cake.

M: Sorry, princess. You know today I have little baby patient like you. If I had come here, what would have happened to her? She had to face more pain, right?

Mu: Then it's okay. But you have forgotten my birthday.

M: How can I forget this day? Today for the first time I got my princess. Okay... If I give this gift to my princess, then will she forgive me?

Then Manik took out a gift box from his bag and gave it to Muskaan. Seeing the gift, Muskaan got really excited. She hugged Manik tightly and pecked on his cheek making smile to his fullest.

Mu: I loveeee you, daddy bear. You are the best father.

Manik pecked on her forehead and asked, "Who taught this to you?"

"Mumma," she replied cutely.

Now Manik turned towards Nandini and they both had a peaceful smile on their face.

M: Am I only the best father not husband?

Nandini smiled brightly and told, "Go freshen up and come to have dinner."

Though Nandini didn't answer him directly but the smile on her face told him everything. A happy family they are.

May be true love are like this only. If you are meant to be, then today or tomorrow you will end up with each other only. So, never loose hope.
