VIOLA let out a sigh as she sat next to her brothers in the school's hallway. She glanced down to her phone seeing texts from Ellisif, and her new friend group. After what Magne had informed her about what he can do and who he might be, Viola had steered clear from not just the Jutuls but the strange group that worked for Edda's police station.
Everything was slowly compiling over each other and she truly felt like she was losing her mind.
She didn't want to believe her brother could be Thor -- it didn't make sense. Ellisif or Sif, whatever her name was, she couldn't be who the books claimed her to be, Heimdall, Tyr, Fandral -- apart of her called bullshit while the other couldn't help but question the red flags in front of her.
The Jutuls always rubbed her the wrong way, seeing Ran's eyes, than the night of the dinner -- Fjor . . . It confused her and she honestly wanted to take a break from her reality and just ignore it all, but she needed real answers.
"You two made up?" Magne inquired seeing Viola resting her head against Laurits shoulder tiredly.
Laurits stuck out his bottom lip, "Vi could never hold a grudge, especially against her favourite brother." He said cockily as Magne rolled his eyes at him.
Viola however remained trapped in her own little world, trying to piece together everything she has learned within the time span of living in Edda.
"Hi, Magne." Saxa greeted shortly sitting next to the trio. He peered over at her with narrowed eyes. "You hungry?" She said eyeing the stack of food he had packed for lunch.
"I thought Gry was your friend." He said ignoring her act. The blonde glanced to Viola who now starred at her, only her stare didn't sit well with the blonde, she looked as if she was reading her in some strange way -- it weirded the blonde out to say the least.
"Wouldn't you defend your family?" Saxa asked Magne before casting another look to Viola who shifted in her seat.
"What's up? Ready to go hiking?" Fjor Jutul's voice spoke up as he now stood behind his sister.
"I'm psyched to shit in a hole in the ground and swim in a frozen lake." Laurits said with fake enthusiasm. Fjor smiled at the boy, his eyes fell onto Viola who briefly looked at him then to the floor.
"It isn't that cold." He denied.
"Maybe for some." Viola murmured, the siblings looked at the raven haired girl as did Magne.
"Our father has business contacts who get us the best mountain gear for free. You should come by some day, we'll fit you out, so you survive up there." Fjor said looking between Viola and Magne.
The raven haired girl stood up, "I, uh, have to go. I'll see you guys later."
"Where are you going?" Laurits asked his sister, as now all eyes were on her.
"I have to um, I forgot to turn in my essay for Bio." She lied walking away.
Fjor looked to Saxa who glanced over to him with a locked jaw and knowing eyes.
Viola rounded the corner and tightened her grip on her bag's strap, she paused for a moment as she looked down at her boots. Listening to the nagging voice in her head she glanced around the wall she had come from and spotted Laurits walking away from Magne and the Jutuls. Her brows furrowed as she observed the trio.
"Do you understand what I'm saying?" Saxa spoke in a old tongue. Viola's brows furrowed, as questions arose. How could she possibly hear them so clearly? What language was she speaking to Magne with? And most of all, why could she understand it so clearly as she did with English? "Do you speak the Old Tongue?" That answered one of her questions.
She watched as Magne sat unmoving just starring at Saxa.
Fjor glanced to his side to where Viola stood, she quickly hid behind the wall. She bit down on her lip harshly silently praying he hadn't just made eye contact with her, all though she knew the answer already.
The bell rung above her, startling her further. She pushed herself off the stone wall and hurried down the hallway.

"Hela standstillr!" Kรกra demanded the blonde to stand still as she fidgeted with her dress. She glanced to the tall woman and stifled an eye roll but did as told by the Valkyrie.
She glanced around her seeing her mother sending her a warning look as she placed her hands to their sides, the raven haired male snickered whereas the large blonde next to him nudged him with narrowed azure eyes.
"Minn konungr." A guard kneeled before Odin as he stepped aside showing the family behind him.
Odin nodded to the man as a tall man stood next to a long blonde--haired woman, and two others who were presumed to be their children. The Giants had arrived or returned to Edda.
"Welcome." Odin nodded to the four, families stood around the throne room in either confusion, disgust, and or distrust.
Odin had not yet informed his people of his and their council's agreement on wanting to form a peace treaty -- an alliance with the Giants. The proposal went against Odin's father's decisions and ways of ruling centuries ago. Odin was keen on changing the ways of their people's old ways, and starting fresh.
All though some disagreed with his proposition, and some expressed their opinions on the issue, it was down to their leader's final decision on the matter.
And he chose peace over war -- to say the news was shocking to many would have been an understatement.
His wife, Fjรถrgyn eyed the group before them warily. She was one of the many who was hesitant on her husband's choice but she decided on accepting it, as she did promise him centuries ago to start a new.
"I have welcomed these four into our home in hopes to make peace and not war." Odin declared as whispers begun to sprout around the large throne room. "I am aware of our history, Gods and Giants, the blood shed, the wars, no more! We will no longer be savages with each other but welcoming!" He said glancing around the room as everyone quieted upon his booming tone. "We have come to an agreement that we will no longer be an enemy of one another but we will work together to provide for not only ourselves but for the future." Odin gestured to his children and to the giants below him.
Hela looked between the four, her eyes falling on the brunette with the hazel eyes. To her surprise his eyes had been on her the entire time. Her cheeks tinted a light pink as she looked down.
He continued, "As a show of our alliance, we have invited them into our home and have provided a feast in celebratory of this alliance and for our future in property." Odin declared walking down the steps, he stuck out his hand to the giant with dark hair, "Welcome home."

"Why so glum?" Sif asked the blonde who sipped from her horn. Her eyes trailed on guests who chatted with the giants like there had never been a century long rivalry to begin with.
"I'm just not in the party mood." Hela admitted to the raven haired woman who gave her look.
"And why is that? Still upset your father hadn't told you and your brothers the news first?" Sif asked glancing over to Thor who sat with his good friends and one of the giants. "Seems like everyone is getting along, so why the long face?"
Hela looked over to her best friend and shook her head, "He's been so secretive as of late. Normally he'd tell us days in advance of his plans with the council. As the future of Edda we deserve to know what is going on and what is to come, especially with something like this." She explained, "You do not think it's a bit odd he failed to mention something so cathartic as this?"
Sif looked to where Odin sat speaking with Vรญรฐarr as if they had been long time friends, as Hel's mother spoke with the giant's wife. "Maybe this is a good thing?" She asked as Hel met her eye, "We have an alliance, which means fewer battles and more than likely no war for us in the future. Which also means you won't have to deal with anything while you sit your pretty arse down on that throne." She smirked as Hela shook her head at the doe eyed girl's words. She glanced to where their friends sat and took notice of the giant's wandering eyes that rested on the pale blonde, "And don't frown, someone could be falling in love with your smile."
Hela looked from Sif over to where she had been glancing off to, she starred at the giant with warm hazel eyes. Sif smirked whereas Hela eyed him warily before standing from her chair and exiting the room from the back doors.
Odin's eyes fell on his daughter's retreating figure.
Hela adjusted the fur cloak around her figure as she walked down the stone steps following the path to the back of the castle.
A light blanket of snow laid on the grass around her.
She looked up at the dark sky as the snow fell into her pale hair, mirroring the snow's colour. A small smile lingered on her lips as she looked ahead of her seeing a wooden shed.
Her finger tips trailed on the archery equipment that laid against the wall, she smiled at her brother's initials that had been carved in years ago.
Thor rarely used it.
Since coming to terms on using their abilities, neither of the siblings really reverted back into Archery or wielding a sword anymore.
She still enjoyed practicing with Fandral, Tyr and Sif when she had finished her practices in the castle, despite her mother's refusals.
Her mother. She thought, how could she have allowed her father to suggest such a thing? Perhaps it was what Hela had grown up hearing, in the villages, friends, strangers, all she had heard was negative things surrounding the Giants. She remembered the stories she'd hear of how her grandfather scared them into hiding and taking back their land.
But now her father was turning away from it all and siding with the enemy?
Hearing movement behind her, she averted back into reality as she grabbed hold of the bow and quiver turning on her heel she aimed it at the intruder.
"Pardon me, I was just curious why you seemed to so upset all night." The brunette explained as he held his hands up in surrender, Hel eyed him questionably. He placed his hands down, "My name is Aurgelmir." Hel starred at the brunette who smiled at her. She squinted her eyes at him as her guard remained up, "You must be Hela."

THE raven haired girl adjusted her knapsack as her mother approached her and adjusted her wool hat to her head. "Mom." Viola uttered as the woman simply smiled down at her.
"You look cozy." She noted, "And beautiful as per usual, trying to impress a certain boy?" She asked. Viola rose a brow at her mother, "Laurits has said you and Fjor Jutul have become friends, I just assumed--"
"Mother, he'd throw me off the mountain if he had the chance." Viola shook her head with an eye roll, "Or I would."
Turid looked at her daughter who smiled sheepishly, her dimples on full display. "Behave, and stay with your brothers."
"I know." She nodded, "I'll probably be playing Minion Rush the entire time." She said with a sarcastic smile.
Turid shook her head as the raven haired girl walked away to the front door and began putting on her. boots as her brothers came down the stairs.
"When I have a little more money I'll get you some new clothes." Turid said eyeing Magne's camping gear and then to Viola's.
"That's fine. I found them in the attic." Magne explained gesturing to both his and Viola's bag.
Turid looked to Laurits who shrugged, "Where did you go and steal all that from?" Eyeing the new and sleek camping gear Laurits had contrasting to his siblings old ones.
"It was a gift from the Jutuls. They have too much of everything." Laurits answered.
"Clearly not enough brain cells to donate to their children." Viola muttered earning a look from both Laurits and Turid, as Magne smirked at her words.
"And can you just accept that?"
"Do we have to be poor and proud as well?" Laurits inquired sarcastically. He then looked to his siblings, "Hmm, you guys should have came, I see." He said eyeing the old camping gear.
"I'm not taking anything from those guys." Magne said stubbornly.
"I'll see you guys there, yeah?" Laurits asked as the two nodded.
"Yeah, see ya." Magne nodded to Laurits as he exited the house.
"I sense a lecture, and I already had mine so I'll wait outside." Viola said looking between her mother and brother. She hugged her mother one last time and waited out on the patio for Magne.
She listened as her mother told Magne to watch over her and Laurits. She smiled softly to herself.
Honking was heard across from her, Viola's head snapped over seeing Ellisif waving at her as she exited her car. Viola's slightly widened at the sleek black car; a Camaro to be exact.
"What are you doing here?" Viola asked walking down the pathway to the tanned woman who rested her hands on her hips and smiled at her.
"I thought I'd tag along in todays festivities." She said with a shrug.
Viola nodded and looked at the girl's outfit; A black turtle neck, paired with a black leather coat, leather high--waisted pants and heeled boots. She gave her a questioning look at her outfit of choice, seeing as how they were going camping and not to a bonfire party.
"Over dressed?" She asked with a smirk already knowing the answer.
"I like it, but I don't know how you're gonna climb a mountain in those." She nodded to her boots.
"Oh, honey, you'd be surprised at what a girl can do in heels." She said with a smirk, Viola smiled and shook her head.
"How did you even get a spot? I thought it was just our teachers taking us?" Viola asked as she placed her bag into the back of the car.
She stifled an eye roll as she spoke, "I might've had to bribe your history teacher. Thought you might need a partner since I saw Gry and Magne signed up to be together."
"Wait -- what?" Viola asked as she nodded looking to where Magne walked down the pathway of their house. "You're partnering up with Gry? I thought we were?" She asked.
Magne gnawed on his lip, "She asked last minute, she wasn't sure if she was going and everyone has partners so . . ." He trailed off as she gave him a incredulous look. "Sorry . . .?"
Viola rolled her eyes at him as Ellisif clapped her hands together, "Great, so let's get a move on. I wanna get a good spot with a great view." She smirked eyeing Magne whose cheeks began to form a light pink.
"Go." Viola nudged him forwards to the passenger seat to get into the back.
"What?" Ellisif asked innocently earning a look from the raven haired girl before they began their journey to the mountains.
And what a journey it would be.
