Elena is at cheer practice when she sees Ben training Carlos making her smile.

"Okay. Carlos, we're gonna do some sprints. You ready?" Ben says and Carlos nods. Elena then sees a dog running after Carlos.

"Carlos look out! Run Carlos!" Elena yells and Carlos takes off running after he looks behind him and sees the dog. Elena takes off running with Carlos as he runs past her. They run into the forest before Elena helps Carlos in a tree before climbing up after him.

"Carlos! Elena!" Ben helps as he runs in the forest.

"Ben? Ben? Ben, help me!" Carlos pleads as Ben pulls the dog away from the tree. Elena gets down once she sees the dog isn't going to do anything. "This thing is a killer! He's gonna chase me down and rip out my throat. This is a vicious, rabid pack animal!"

"Hey, who told you that?" Ben asks picking up the dog.

"My mother." Carlos answers.

"Cruella?" Ben asks.

"She's a dog expert. A dog yellerer." Carlos explains. "Why are you holding him? He's gonna attack you!"

"Carlos, you've never actually met a dog, have you?" Ben asks getting it.

"Of course not." Carlos answers.

"Dude, meet Carlos and Elena. Carlos, Elena, this is dude. He's the campus mutt." Ben introduces before Elena pets Dude and he licks her hand making her smile and laugh.

"He doesn't look like a vicious, rabid pack animal." Carlos says before he climbs out the tree. "Jeez. You're a good boy, aren't you? You're a good boy." Carlos holds Dude making Elena smile.

"I guess you guys have it pretty rough on the island." Ben says as he looks between the two.

"Yeah." Elena says.

"Let's just say we don't get a lot of belly rubs." Carlos explains.

"Good boy." Ben says patting Carlos's shoulder making Elena give him a strange look. "I mean, you're a good runner. You're... you're fast, you know."

"Thank you." Carlos says.

"Yeah. Listen, I'm gonna give you guys some space, yeah? You guys get to know each other and just, you know, come find me when you're done, okay?" Ben says making Elena smile. Carlos nods before Ben starts walking away. Elena gives Carlos a soft smile as he sits down with Dude. She then sits down with him. A little later she goes back to cheer practice.

Elena is on her way back to her dorm when Jane catches up to her telling she has bad news. They hurry to the dorm so she can tell Mal and Evie as well.

"Mom said, 'If a boy can't see the beauty within, then he's not worth it.' Can you believe it? What world does she live in?" Jane explains before sitting on Evie's bed.

"Auradon." Mal answers.

"Elena do you like?" Evie asks as she holds up the dress she made.

"Yeah. It's cute. It brings out your eyes." Elena answers her sister with a smile.

"I'll never get a boyfriend." Jane complains.

"Boyfriends are overrated." Elena says with an eye roll.

"Exactly." Mal says in agreement.

"And how would you know El, Mal? You've both never had one." Evie says with a smirk.

"It's 'cause I don't need one, Eve." Elena says to her sister with a wink, as Evie rolls her eyes. You see Elena likes girls and people always asks her if she will get a boyfriend, she always say they're gross. But the truth is they don't attract her. "They're a waste of time."

"I forgot to do Chad's homework!" Evie says with a gasp before she runs to get her bag. "Oh, no! Oh, no, no, no."

"And that is exactly what she means." Mal says making Elena shake her head and smile.

"Hey guys!" A girl says as she knocks on the open door before entering the room. "I'm Lonnie." Elena, Mal, and Evie just look at her. "My mom's Mulan? No? Anyways, I love what you've done with Jane's hair. And I know you hate us, and, well, you're evil. But do you think you could do mine?"

"Why would I do that for you?" Mal asks her.

"I'll pay you for 50 dollars." Lonnie answers making Elena smile.

"Good answer." Elena says as Evie takes the money.

"I need to buy more material." Evie agrees as Elena takes the money from her. "Let's see, I'm thinking, we lose the bangs, maybe some layers and some highlights."

"Yeah, Yeah. I want it cool, like Mal's and Elena's." Lonnie says making Elena smile and twirl her hair.

"Really, the split ends too." Evie asks making Mal send her a glare. Elena shakes the money making Mal sigh.

"Okay... Beware forswear, replace the old with cool hair." Mal reads from a her spell book before she moves her finger making Lonnie's head move. Her hair than grows into long curls.

"I know, I know. It looks like a mop on your head." Evie says as Lonnie looks at herself in the mirror speechless. "You know what? Let's cut it off, layer it."

"No, no, no, no, no, no! I love it." Lonnie says excited.

"You do?" Evie asks shocked.

"It's just..." Lonnie says before ripping her skirt on the side. "Now I'm cool."

"Like ice. My specialty." Elena says making the girls look at her confused. "When I'm being pretty." Elena shrugs as Jane walks in front of the mirror and rips the side of her skirt as well, before she gasps.

"What did I just do? Mom's gonna kill me!" Jane says making Elena laugh.

After Jane and Lonnie left, Carlos came over with Dude. They were waiting on Jay who was talking to coach.

"Yo-ho-ho! Hey!" Jay says as he enters the room wearing a jersey with his name on it. Elena and Carlos both whistle at him from their spot on the floor with Dude before Jay walks up to Mal. "Did your plan work with Jane? Are you going over to see the wand?"

"Do you think that I would be going through every single spell in this book. If I hadn't completely struck out?" Mal asks frustrated.

"Oh, someone's in a bad mood." Carlos says making Elena giggle.

"My mom's counting on me! I can't let her down!" Mal says before flicking Carlos in the back of his head.

"We can do this..." Jay says getting everyone's attention. "If we stick together." Elena couldn't help but smile at Jay turning good.

"And we won't go back until we do." Mal says firmly.

"Because we're rotten..." Elena starts with a nod of the head.

"To the core." The others finish.

"Oh, yeah. I found out that fairy godmother blesses Ben with the wand at coronation and we all get to go." Evie says making Elena and Mal look at her in shock. "Elena and I have to work double time though cause I have nothing to wear, of course." There's a knock at the door and Mal looks over. "What?"

"Hold that thought." Mal says as she walks up to the door. She opens it to find Ben on the other side making her smile.

"Hey Mal." Ben says smiling as she sees that she is the one that opened the door. Evie stands up while Elena walks up to Mal. "I didn't see you guys today. I was just wondering If you had any questions or anything... That... you needed..."

"Not the I know of." Mal answers smiling before looking at the others who shake their heads no.

"Okay. All right. Well, uh, If you need anything, just, uh..." Ben says as he starts to walk away making Elena nudge Mal.

"Oh, wait!" Mal calls making Ben stop.  "Um, is it true that we all get to go to your coronation?"

"Yeah, the whole school goes." Ben answers as he walks over.

"Wow. That is beyond exciting." Mal says with a sweet smile. "Do you think that it's a possibility that the five of us could stand in the front row next to the Fairy Godmother, just so we could soak up all that goodness?" Ben looks as if he wants to answer yes but he stops. Ben wished he could tell her yes but it wasn't possible.

"I wish you could. Up front It's just me, my folks, and my girlfriend." Ben explains making Mal have a small smirk on her face.

"And your girlfriend?" Mal asks.

"Yeah. I'm sorry." Ben says making Mal flash him a fake smile.

"Okay. Thanks, bye." Mal says before she closes the door in his face. "I think It's time that Bennyboo got himself a new girlfriend." She smirks.

"And I need a love spell." Mal finishes before she claps her hand for her book which Carlos throws at her.
