FIFTEEN YEARS HAVE GONE BY AND Hawk was living the best life he could as king of his country.

He still thought of Violet every single day especially since she was literally his first love.

Hawk met another woman named Catherine who he met when he went to college. Hawk loves her of course, but he will never love her the same as he did for Violet. Catherine understood the pain Hawk went through, so she knew their relationship wouldn't be the same as Violet's.

Currently, Hawk was sitting with his family, by the Christmas tree, watching his two beautiful children open up their toys.

Hawk couldn't be any more grateful for the family he has and he wouldn't do anything to give them up.

"Daddy! Daddy! Look what Santa brought me!" Hawk's daughter, Riley, held the beautiful American Girl doll in her hands, happy that she got what she asked for.

"That's great, sweetheart. See what happens when you're a good girl for the year?" Riley smiled at her father and proceeded to open the rest of her gifts.

"Woah, dad, look, I got the iPad." Hawk's son, Apollo, was a spunky ten-year-old, who was quite mature for his age and loved his family dearly, especially his little sister.

Hawk and Catherine continued to watch their kids open the presents on this snowy Christmas. Hawk always had a tradition where he would visit Violet's grave around the holidays to give her roses. He has been doing this for the last fifteen years.

Speaking of Violet, the home phone rang, which made Hawk get up on his feet to answer the person who might be calling.

"Hello?"

"Hi Eli, it's Martin here to wish you and your family happy holidays." Hawk smiled at the familiar voice he missed oh too much.

Eli kept in touch with Martin and James every now and then to see how they were doing. Also, James and Martin got married and adopted twins who were great friends with Riley and Apollo.

Hawk had a happy life and couldn't ask for anything better.

Since the gift opening ended earlier than expected, Hawk decided to visit Violet's grave. She was buried not too far away from the castle which was good, so he can enjoy a cold walk.

While walking to the cemetery, Hawk reminisced on the amazing memories he had with Violet. The letter she left him the day she passed away was kept in Hawk's wallet ever since. He would read it every now and then to remind himself that she is in a better place. Without pain.

He knew Violet would be happy with the life and family he has now.

At the cemetery, Hawk stared down at the tombstone which laid Violet. He propped down the roses in a vase, trimming the bottoms of the stems.

"Hey, love, I know it's been a while since I've seen you." Hawk stayed silent for a while, tears welling up knowing he couldn't hear Violet's voice anymore.

"Catherine and the kids are doing well. So are James and Martin and their kids." Hawk sighed, knowing how hard it is to see Violet now.

"You know, I found a shark plushie and it reminded me of you. If only they had an urchin plushie, I would have bought that one for you." Hawk chuckled slightly, reminiscing the old memories they had together when they used to call eachother 'sharkie' and 'urchin'.

Sighing in exasperation, Hawk knew he would have to let go of Violet sooner or later, even if he didn't want to. He has a family now and he knew Violet would want him to live his life without her being in the back of his head constantly.

"Violet, this is going to be the last time we'll be seeing each other for a while. I'm sure you can understand. I will never forget you and I will always love you, so so much."

Hawk was saying his final goodbye... for now. As much as he didn't want to, this was no way to live a life when you're constantly thinking about someone like this.

"I love you, Eli."

Hawk whipped his head, knowing he heard a voice just like Violet's. It felt too real, but it was impossible.

So to Hawk's knowledge.

"I love you more, Violet."

Standing up and brushing off the dirt from his pants, Hawk was starting to walk to leave Violet's grave, before he turned once more to face her.

"I'll see you very soon.... in the skies above ..... goodbye for now, my love."
