"OH MY GOD. THERE IS NO WAY YOU'RE REALLY HERE." Violet stared at the boy beside her and went up to hug him, leaving Hawk alone awkwardly.

"Robby, I haven't seen you since like what, second or third grade?"Violet couldn't stop smiling at the fact that one of her childhood friends came back into her life.

Literally, all of her friends from elementary school somehow drifted away from her. Robby moved in the third grade and Demetri and Hawk stopped being friends with her.

"Well, I came to check out my new school and it was hard to ignore a beautiful face like yours. When I looked closer, I saw it was you." Violet was flattered by Robby's words and couldn't help but notice how handsome the young man was.

Back in elementary school, Robby had braces and glasses that everyone would consider as a nerd. But now, Violet didn't recognize him for a split second.

"Wow, I just can't believe it's you. How have you been? It's been so long," Violet asked, astonished by what the odds were to see him again.

"I'm doing well, adjusting to the new school, but well. How about you?"

"Could be better, but not too bad." Robby looked at her worriedly, wondering why she would say that.

"Wait, what's wrong? You're usually your bright and happy self. What's bothering you. Or who's bothering you?" Violet held her head down for a bit until she felt a finger hold her chin up.

"It's nothing, I promise don't worry about it." Robby knew she wasn't okay but didn't want to pry, especially since this is the first time they have seen each other in a while.

Meanwhile, Hawk was angry at what he saw in front of him. Robby, the kid he remembered all too well back in elementary school.

He walked up to the childhood friends and put a hand on Violet's shoulder which made her flinch.

"So, do you still want me to tell you what I was about to say before we got interrupted," Hawk said the last part while glaring at Robby.

"Hawk."

"Robby."

The two boys glared at each other while Violet stood there awkwardly.

Violet was taken aback when Hawk tried to pull her behind him as if he was protecting her from Robby.

It was as if Hawk never hated her which was super weird for Violet.

Robby saw how Hawk pulled Violet behind him and he scoffed.

"Please, do you really think I'll hurt her or something? Honestly, you're the one that's more likely to hurt her instead of me."

That did it for Hawk. He stepped forward, making Robby step forward as well. The boys' faces were inches apart and Violet had to step in to stop the toxic masculinity.

"Boys stop, you guys literally saw each other for the first time in forever, so chill the eff out." Violet put her hand on Hawk's chest and the other on Robby's, making them back up for a bit.

Hawk's eyes softened when he turned to Violet but turned dark again when he made eye contact with Robby.

"I'm going to class and you guys should too." Violet glared at the boys and walked away.

Robby and Hawk gave each other one last glare before going their separate ways as well.

Violet was waiting for her ride after school in the hallways of Sapphire Academy and was doing homework on the floor.

She felt a shadow block her light, making her look up to see Hawk standing there.

"Eli, what the hell do you want?"

"Well don't you still want to know the answer from our conversation earlier?" Hawk had attitude in his voice which Violet hated.

"Not with that attitude, no. Now if you'll excuse me I should be on my-"

Violet couldn't finish her sentence when Hawk pushed her back into the lockers, knocking the wind out of her slightly.

"No, we're finishing what we started," Hawk said while pinning Violet on the lockers.

"Fine, but hurry up. I have to meet Miguel for our study date."

"What study date?" Hawk's voice was dangerously low and threatful. Jealousy was laced in his voice as well.

"Awww, is someone jealous?" Violet teased him.

Hawk slammed her into the lockers again. Harshly, but not painfully.

"Shut up! Do you know why I hate you so much?! It's because I've always had a crush on you back when we were kids. Hell, I thought I even loved you. But as we were starting to become more than friends, fucking Robby Keene had to sweep you off your feet, and the fact that he also showed  up right when I was about to tell you the truth really made me feel like fate is fucking with me."

"I-I don't know what to say, Eli, I didn't know-"

"Of course you didn't fucking know. You were too distracted by Robby and you are probably going to fall for him now." Hawk started to walk in circles down the hallway.

"How do I know you're not lying. For all I know, you can be making up this shit."

Hawk stared at her then started to angrily pace towards Violet, making her regret what she said.

Hawk looked down at her, breathing heavily from anger. Violet thought for sure that he was going to slap her or something, but what Hawk did next shocked both of them.

Hawk grabbed Violet's waist aggressively and smashed his lips against hers. Violet was so shocked, she didn't pull away. She actually leaned in the kiss, hungrier for Hawks touch.

At this point, Hawk and Violet were making out in the hallway.

Violet pulled away to catch her breath. She looked up in Hawk's eyes and saw a hint of Eli in them.

"Wow...."

"I've wanted to do that for a long time, Violet. You have no idea how much it hurt me to see you away from my touch all these years."

Violet smiled once more at Hawk and pulled him in for another kiss, him kissing back immediately.

"I missed you, Urchin."

"I missed you more, Sharkie."
