"I hope it works..."
Beomgyu hoped, his fingers gliding over the thin paper sheet, the strokes of black ink spluttering into the soft white surface of the paper, soon carving jumbles of calligraphic incantation into it.

After Beomgyu was done with writing the incantation on the paper, he held it up with his fingers; feeling a slight tremor in his being as he placed the corner of the sheet infront the flickering reddish-orange flames of the candle, while his lips moved in a rhythm of unrecognised sounds; the spell being chanted through his mouth, while the dancing flames enveloped the thin layer of the paper, turning it into nothing but ashes right infront of Beomgyu's eyes.

A shiver of cold crisp air passed by his side after he chanted the mantra, while he closed his eyes; waiting for something to happen.

But nothing did. It was as calm as ever. The wind slow and breezy, the silver of moonlight still reflecting through the gaps of the fluttering curtains into the carpeted floor, and he was still intact and perfect, more precisely still alone in his apartment room.

No demon appeared.

So, was this just a silly trick?

"So it was obviously fake huh? Just how desperate I am, that I'm disappointed a demon didn't appear to take my soul away?" A chuckle of disappointment escaped the ravenette's lips, the situation of his misery embracing him once again.

...

"Who said it's fake?"

A shiver ran down Beomgyu's spine, making him gasp and quickly turn his head around with fear as he felt a looming dark presence behind his body.

His breath hitched from the sight he witnessed infront of himself and the voice he heard right from his own ears; the reality of the unreal situation he had brought upon himself dawning on him.

He had successfully Summoned a Real Demon.

"A-are you the d-demon I summoned?" Beomgyu asked meekly, eyes widening in fascination and terror as he took in the form of the apparent "demon" infront of him.

Right across him, leaning on his room door; stood a tall almost 6 ft man with sharp fox-like crimson eyes, plush-full rosy lips, small face with perfectly structured sharp facial features, jet-black hair and a lean-muscular frame.

And oh, there was a black cat sitting on his left shoulder as well.

So...the spell worked? He actually managed to summon a demon? What now?

Common Sense finally knocked into his anxiety blinded brain and his heart started pumping rapidly with unease, and without even him realising, he had backed up to the bed-side corner, cowering in fear.

"Am I going to die now? Will he kill me? Suck my soul?" Thoughts like that started racing through his mind, while he watched the Demon cock a smirk towards him.

"How rude, you summoned me and now you're shying away? Come on, you called for me Sweetheart, didn't you?" The demon smirked, teasingly throwing endearments to the human, making his way towards the person who had summoned him.

"I-i did but..." Beomgyu tried to speak, but the demon beat him to it, crouching down infront of him to let his cat down, and the small black feline gracefully walked up to him.

"Choi Beomgyu, 22 years old male. Interesting." The cat whispered, making Beomgyu's eyes widen with surprise.

A cat....that can speak?

"What the-" Beomgyu gasped, turning his gaze towards the demon who was standing infront of him with a mischievous look on his face.

"Surprised sweetheart? That's nothing. Vere here can do much more than just speak, so better be quick and complete your ritual." The demon replied, lifting the black cat up in his arms, passing Beomgyu a stern gaze.

The demon's intense gaze slightly terffied him. Complete the ritual? But he did all the stuff right...or he didn't?

"What do you mean?" The ravenette asked, confused and terrified both.

Will he need to give his soul to the demon now?

"You only did the summoning part. For me to fulfill your wish, you have to make a blood contract with me." The demon answered his question simply, waiting for his reaction.

When Beomgyu didn't answer and stayed silent, the demon sighed and grabbed the terrified Ravenette by his arm and pulled him up, glaring at him.

"Look you dumb human, I don't have all the time in the world. I'm a demon, and sadly I don't do well with patience, so you better tell me what's your wish, why you summoned me and complete the blood oath." The demon replied, and Beomgyu gulped from being in such a close proximity with the taller.

"Y-yes okay." He quickly nodded, as the demon let him go. "You're not going to ask for my soul?" He asked, still skeptical.

"No, that's old-fashioned stuff. We don't do that. Now be quick and tell me what's your purpose to summon me here?" The demon asked, taking an univited seat on Beomgyu's bed.

"I want you to be my date for tonight...and keep me company." Beomgyu replied, now that his initial fear was gone, he finally stated the reason he summoned him.

"Date? As in romantic partner?" The demon raised his eyebrows in confusion, surprised that this naive human summoned him for such a silly reason.

"Yes. I don't want to be alone, and I want to avoid my ex." Beomgyu admitted, nodding his head in embarrassment.

"That's it? Such an easy task?" The demon laughed, looking at him in disbelief.

"You summoned me, a literal demon for that? Woah, humans never fail to surprise me." He snorted, shaking his head from the absurdity of this situation.

A powerful demon like him, pretending to be a fake date of a human? How ridiculous. Who does this human thinks he is? Him pretending to be related to a human? Never.

He was about to refuse the human and go back to prison and wait until another human summoned him, until Verena stopped him.

"My lord, I have an idea." The small black feline whispered in his ears in their common language, which caught Orpheus's attention.

"Idea? What do you suggest Vere?" He asked, intrigued.

"Why don't we use this human to make you even stronger; so we can find your target Kang Taehyun and get rid of Hael?"

"Use him? Now that catches my attention Vere." He smirked.

That didn't sound like a bad idea at all. Afterall that's what he's the best at, using, tempting and deceiving humans.
