Kayla's pov
It's 4th of July !

I'm in a cheerful mood this morning . The carnival would make it even better . I bounced out of the kitchen with lots of energy , excited to start the day . I came through the living room where everyone was at . They gave me an unusual face .

"Guys , guess what day it is ?" , I grinned at them , waiting patiently for their answer , but still full of joy .

"It's July 4th..." , Jackson said .

"Independence day..." , Allison said after Jackson.

"Ok , screw 4th of July ! Stranger Things season 3 is out and I forgot to stay up all night to watch it !" , Payton squealed . He snatched the remote control from the table next to the couch and turned on the tv .

(Ok um , shoutout to all the Stranger Things fans ! I actually stayed up all night just to see S3..it was worth it tho 😂 here are some questions you guys can answer: ⬇️
1. Who was your favorite character ? I love all of them but Alexei stole my heart , rip❤️🥺 .
2. What was your favorite episode ? I love all of them but If I have to choose , it has to be episode 1 , 7 and 8 .
3. Do you think Hopper is dead ? I think he's still alive . At the end of the credits , the Russians said "nOt tHe aMeRiCan" , so , yeh .
4. Last questions , what was your favorite part of the season ? Mine was the funny friendship of Steve , Robin , Dustin and Erica 🤣 "Dustybun"💀 Billy deserves better 🥺💔 Mileven and Elmax tho !!!!

Everyone else was talking about Stranger Things stuff . I never actually watched Stranger Things...It never caught my attention .

"Guys ! I'm not talking about that . I mean , we should go have some fun . Go to the carnival or something . Go get some ice cream . Go watch the fireworks later at night...something ! " , my smile faded as I said that .

Payton looked up at me , he knew I was upset .

"Guys , she's right . We should all spend the day together . We can watch Stranger Things any other time , we only celebrate 4th of July once a year" .

Aww , he's so sweet ! I don't deserve him...

Everyone agreed . We all talked about how we're gonna get there , since we can't all fit on Payton's car . Everyone went back home to get dressed and we're all gonna meet each other at the carnival , by the entrance .

Now , the only people left was just Payton and I .

"Uh , Payton ?" , I silently questioned him .

"Yeh ?"

"I don't have any other clothes with me . Remember , I really don't want to go back home and see my mother" , Payton looked at me , and looked up and down .

I crossed my arms and raised my eyebrows , not knowing what he's doing .

"Don't worry . We can go upstairs to Faith's room and see if her clothes fits you . She might let you borrow her clothes , c'mon" , he grabbed my hand and dragged me upstairs to Faith's room .

We stopped by the 3rd room . Payton started knocking on the door .

"Hey , Faith ! Open the door !" , Payton screamed .

I covered my mouth with my hand , trying not to laugh .

The door opened and I saw a sleepy-annoyed Faith starring at us .

"What do you-ouu , uh" , she smirked and pointed at our hands . Payton and I were still holding hands ! We both looked down and let go immediately . I looked down at my feet , my face getting hot . It was dead silent .

"W-we wanted to know if Kayla can borrow your clothes . She doesn't have any with her and she doesn't want to go back home . Family problem.." Payton obviously broke the silence .

"Oh , ofc she can borrow some . Come in , Kayla ! " , I smiled at her and walked in .

Payton said he will wait downstairs . I watched as Payton walked away from us . Faith got in front of me and closed the door .

"So...you and my brother" , she smirked .

I rolled my eyes as I walked towards her bed .

"What ? No ! There's nothing going on between us" , I said before she said anything else .

"That's what you say" , she whispered at me . I ignored it and we just started looking through her closet .

Faith's pov

If only she knew...

Payton's pov

As I got downstairs , I almost forgot to change too, I can't go out with my pj's . I speed walked upstairs , got to my room and got dressed into this ⬇️

It's gonna be 70 degrees outside . I could handle wearing jeans outside in this weather . I fixed my hair and walked back downstairs to wait for Kayla .

Kayla's pov

After 20 minutes of searching for something , I finally found the perfect outfit . It's vv cute , kinda VSCO .

"Can I use this?" , I asked Faith .

"Yeh , ofc . Oh , and to make it better , put these necklaces on !", she grabbed two necklaces from her jewelry box and handed them to me . I thanked her and walked to her bathroom to change .

I got out and it looks pretty good ⬇️

As I came out , Faith was on her phone . Her attention turned to me as I got out .

"Wow , you look so pretty ! VSCO queen !!" , Faith acted like a little 10 y/o who's excited to finally get the Barbie doll she wanted .

I smiled and looked down , "Thank youuu !"

I thanked her again for the stuff she let me borrow  as we both walked downstairs to meet Payton .

Payton's pov

What's taking Kayla so long ? I should probably check on the girls to see what's going on . Before I can take a step forward , I hear giggling coming from upstairs . I look up and see Kayla coming downstairs with Faith behind her .

She looks beautif- I mean , good .

I couldn't keep my eyes off of her , she was just perfect . She giggled at my expression.

"Uh , hello ? Earth to Payton !"

"Yeh , uh...sorry . Um , we should probably get going . Everyone is probably waiting for us" , I headed to the door and turned around . "Hey Faith , wanna come ?" , I asked my sister .

"Nah , you guys can go . I'm gonna go out with my friends later", Faith responded .

Kayla and I said bye to Faith and headed towards the door .
