Back to Kayla's pov

Emily , Payton and I walked to the living room . They're both behind me talking softly about god knows what . I just ignored them and kept walking . I got to the living room and everyone was sitting on the couch waiting for me .

Everyone was saying 'where were you?' or 'what took you so long?' .

"Sorry , I lost track , It won't happen again", I stood there silent . I sat down on the couch next to Brittany and Payton .

"So where are we going?" , Michael speak up and stared at Emily for an answer .

"Ok , are ya'll ready?" , she said in a excited voice .

We all said 'yes' .

"We're going roller bladding !" , we all stared at Emily with huge smiles on our faces . We've never gotten roller bladding together .

"And ofc , the money is for the food and renting roller blades" , Emily explained .

We all left the house and walked to Emily's car . Emily and Michael are in the front , Brittany and Allison are in the middle and Payton and I at the back. We basically have assigns seats , it depends where we like sitting .

Emily started driving and Michael played some music to get us all hyped up . We all started singing along to 'Taste' by Tyga , that was our jam .

I grab my phone from my back pocket and I go through Instagram .

I had a text from a good friend , we started talking a couple days ago . His name is Chase Hudson , he's really sweet . He's close friends with Payton , he knows I'm friends with him . I laugh at a joke Chase said . Everyone stared at me for about 5 seconds , and went back to what they were doing . Except Emily since she we driving

"What's so funny?" , Payton said ,  trying to look at my phone .

"Oh nothing . I'm talking to Chase and he just made a funny joke" , I showed him my phone so he can read it . He laughed and nodded his head with a smile .

"Ikr..." , I laughed .

"Haha I love that guy" , he went back to looking at his phone .

Payton and I were the only ones who were quiet . Everyone else was talking about stuff I wasn't paying attention to .

«At the Orbit place»

Before I got out of the car , I said goodbye to Chase and told him I'll text him later . We all got out and walked in the building together . When we were in , we all payed for our entrance .

When we finished , we walked in the actual place . There was a good amount of people here . There wasn't much people , but there wasn't a small croud either .

We all rent a pair of roller blades . I was the 1st person who had their roller blades on out of all of us . The rest were either trying to find the right shoe size or putting them on .

I got up from my seat, I tried to balance myself . Payton was ready too . I tried to walk to his direction since he was closer to me . Payton just laughed a little .

"Stop it ! It's not funny" , I said while laughing, trying to keep my balance .

He put his hands out so I can grab them . Idk why but the floor is vv slippery . It's rug , but it feels slippery...ykkk ?

I finally grabbed his hands . He just looked at my eyes with a cute smile on his face .

"Ok , you're doing good" , he walked backwards so we can get on the hard floor . Everyone else was done so they followed us . We all walked in different speeds . Some of us were going slow , fast or either walking . I was always roller blading next to Payton . We fell a couple times but we always got back up .

"How about we race and see who's faster?" , I smirked at him.

"Igh , bettt !" , Payton said .

I rolled my eyes playfully . I counted to three and we went off. We both the same speed , I tried to go faster but I couldn't . I ended behind him and he was probably 3 feet in front of me .
Payton ended up winning, ofc he won .

"Beat ya !"

"Yeh , whatever", I rolled my eyes playfully .

I walked out and decided to sit down for a while , Payton followed .

"What ? You quit bc yk I'm faster than you?"

"Actually , no . My legs hurt because they can't stand your irrelavent ass" , I gave him a salty smile and turned around .

I hear Payton whisper in my ear ,
"Ok , buddy . Whatever you say..."

I turned around and saw him go back and roller blade . I noticed he approached to a girl . I couldn't see her face because her back was facing me . She looks familiar , she was wearing jeans, a Champion's hoddie and her hair was in a messy bun . 

Then something happened that made me explode .

Payton leaned in closer to the girl. She leaned forward as well , It didn't even pass 5 seconds and their lips were already connected. I know who it is ,

Isabella .

Why is she here ? Did Payton invite her ?

I turned forward , I wanted to SCREAM from the top of my lungs . She had to come and ruin the amazing time with my best friend .
