Kayla's pov

I tried to get my breathing to slow down .

I distracted myself by watching a man walking his dog . I've always loved dogs and they always make me feel better .

I hear the door open . I didn't even have to turn around to see who it was because I already know who it is .

"Kayla , can we plz talk ?" , Jackson said .

Idk what to say . Ig we can talk .

I nod my head yes .

"Listen , I'm sorry for what I did . I was an idiot for hurting you . I wasn't thinking at the moment . I was someone else . I've changed , I went to teraphy because I felt so guilty for hurting you . You don't have to be friends with me if you don't want to . I just want you to forgive me ! Plz talk to me" , he said .

Wow , I'm shocked . I can't believe what he said . I can see from his eyes that he meant every single word he said .

"I forgive you..." , I responded .

"Really ?" , he was so excited .

"Yeh , but I want our friendship to slowly get better and stronger. No more than best friends" , I said .

"Yeh , ofc . Thank you !" , he was almost crying .

I smiled at him and pulled him into a hug .

We stood there for a while . I can see from the corner of my eyes everybody staring at us , mouth wide open .

I wasn't gonna let them ruin the moment .

I pulled away from the hug .

"Here , give me your phone" , I put my hand out .

"Why ?" , he responded .

"So I can give you my phone number " , I rolled my eyes playfully and giggled .

He laughed and gave me his phone . I gave my phone to him so he can give me his number .

After giving each other's phone numbers , we went back inside Panda Express .

Everybody's mouth were wide open , shocked and confused .

"Yes , we're friends again " , I looked at him and he smiled .

They didn't say a word .

"No more than friends " , Jackson said after I talked .

They all let out a loud sigh . I think they thought we were back together...

Jackson and I laughed .

I introduced Jackson to my friends , except Chase and Payton ofc , he already knows them .

We all quickly got along .

After we finished our food , we all decided to go back home . I dropped everybody off to their house .

I got back home and layed on my couch . I decided to add Chase and Jackson to our group chat cuz why not ?

We were just talking about noral teenage stuff . Nothing special .

We all slowly left the group chat for the day .

I was the 3rd to last one to leave since I needed to go take a shower . It was 10:52 , I was vv tired , irdk why .

After I finished showering I went to my room to put on some comffy clothes .

I changed into these pj's ;

I walked to my night stand and charged my phone for the night .

I had 5% so It was about to die .

I turned off my lights and fell asleep .

The next morning I woke up at exactly 9:23 am . I stretched my legs and arms . My curtains were still shut , so that made my room darker .

I got up and opened my curtains. My room looks brighter and much better .

I hear my downstairs door open . Great . My drunk ass mom came back after 2 days gone .

I never worry if she comes home or not . I don't talk to her no more because she just spends her time drinking .

She was probably with another dude .

I sometimes don't understand how she isn't pregnant yet .

Anyways , I went to my bathroom to wash my face , brush my teeth , do my makeup and put my hair in 2 braids .

I put on this outfit ;

I walked downstairs and see my mom drinking on the couch .

She turns around to look at me .

"Where the he'll are you going with that type of clothes ? " , my drunk mother said.

I rolled my eyes .

"None of your bussiness . What ? I can't wear nice clothes ?! " , I said with an attitude .

"Whatever..." , she said with a low voice .

I groaned and shut the door , loudly .

I had my house keys and my car keys with me .

I decided to go shopping for some clothes and other stuff at the mall . 

Before I left , I invited my cousin, Katelyn Elizabeth .
