First time drawing hippogriffs and DAM they're hard but also rlly fun :D

I adopted Milu from Aeron_Eclipse and Moai from XxBriar_TanglexX, both a while ago but I finally got around to drawing them!

Now, if you're tired of the weird names I give my characters then TOO BAD cuz ima keep doing it :3 Milu is the Hawaiian god of death and Moai is what those stone heads on Easter Island are called.

I actually came up with a backstory of these two.

So basically, Milu was wandering around one day out hunting for himself, and he came across an unattended hippogriff nest that was being raided by little critters out to eat the eggs. He defended the nest from the critters since, you know, he has a heart, but he was only able to save one egg from being destroyed.

He decided then to stay with the remaining egg until the mother came back, protecting it from other egg thieves. Unfortunately, the mother never did come back. Nobody really knows what happened to her.

When the egg hatched, Milu decided to adopt the hatchling as his own son. He named him Moai. A harsh winter season was coming, and since Milu was a grown male hippogriff he needed a lot of food to sustain himself. He was out hunting for hours at a time, leaving Moai in a well hidden den deep inside a cavern. Even after those long hunting trips, he was only coming back with a small fox or even just a lemming.

Milu brought back the few worms he could find for Moai, though it wasn't much since most of the bugs had vanished for the winter. Moai ended up having to eat meat scraps a very young age, and due to the general lack of food, and he ended up small and malnourished. Throughout his life, he remained small, but he used that to his advantage and ended up becoming a better hunter than even Milu.

Haha usually my chapters don't have this much typing, but I was honestly proud of myself for actually coming up with decent backstories lmao
