━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 she agreed to help Zed was because she was excited to watch him embarrass himself. Not only that but she was also anxious to see her sister. She pushed her hair from her face, nose scrunching in discomfort at the blonde ends that now covered her hair. She'd resulted in dying her hair once again in hopes of getting ride of the white, and she thought maybe bleach would kill it once and for all, instead the white simply moved from underneath her hair to the ends of her hair, mixing in with the blonde dyed tips that she'd given herself.

She made her way into Zombietown, her eyes immediately finding Coach's froyo stand. She smiled gently before making her way over to it, immediately earning a greeting from the man to which she returned. She got herself some boring old chocolate flavor, thanking the man as she quickly started to consume the treat. She tore her eyes away from it only when she heard approaching footsteps. A kind smile fell on her face when she saw Zoey and Zed.

"Hey, hey!" Coach greeted with a smile when she saw the two siblings.

"What's up, Coach?" Zed asked, coming to a stop in front of him.

"Oh, football off-season has been good to me, Zed. Invested in a fro-yo cart. Little side hustle, gonna go global, gonna buy a car, get some dress shirts, go on vacation without my great aunt Edna. Though she loves swimwear weather. You know I might just bring her along." Coach ranted but before he could continue, Zoey interrupted him.

"Cauliflower brains mocha crunch, please."

"You got it!" Coach quickly got the girl her order, handing it to her and smiling as she thanked him and immediately dug into it.

"I'll take a vanilla, Coach." Zed requested before meeting Wren's eyes. "What? I like vanilla, okay?" He took his fro-yo and after Zoey went running off and they'd all finished their fro-yo. Zed and Wren made their way deeper into Zombietown, headed straight for the Seabrook Powerplant that was going to be destroyed in a few weeks in order to create a new cheer pavilion. They made it inside and immediately walked over to Zed's father. "Hey, dad."

"Hey, son." He greeted. "First day as foreman of the demolition crew. Big day for zombie-kind." Wren couldn't help but smile at his excitement. She knew that this was a big step for them into trusting the zombies.

Zed placed a hand on his father's shoulder. "Yeah, you'll do great. Just don't make any lame zombie dad jokes."

As Zed and Wren started to walk away he called out saying, "But the workin' stiffs love them."

"Hey, hey! Ho, ho! This demolition has got to go!" The sound of Eliza's voice yelling through the megaphone grabbed their attention. The two made their way to the girl, coming to a stop beside of her. The zombie sighed as she turned her head to look at Zed, worry clear on her face. "They can't tear it down, Zed."

Wren cocked an eyebrow at the girl. "Liz, Seabrook power hasn't worked in years. Why does it matter if they tear it down or not?"

"It's an important part of zombie heritage." Eliza argued.

"This is progress, Eliza." Zed told her. He pulled out a paper, handing it to her. "And now we can even go to prawn."

Prawn. Something that Wren was regretting to her very core. She wasn't one for dances, she never has been, but Addison had managed to drag her to every single one of them since they were kids and sometimes Wren just couldn't say no to her. It was really hard to say no to someone that mastered puppy dog eyes so well. Not only did Wren not like dances, but every year Addison always tried to find her someone to go with and every time they ended up being a dick. If she was going to the prawn this year, she'd made Addison promise her she wouldn't find her a date and that she would go on her own. Unless she found her own date, as Addison so cheerfully had said to her. To which Wren shook her head in doubt.

Eliza turned the megaphone back on. "I'm loud and proud to be a zombie." Eliza quickly turned towards Zed. "I dream of a day we ditch our z-bands and let our inner monsters roar." She roared into the megaphone and Zed quickly took it from her.

Wren sighed, crossing her arms over her chest. "And I dream of a day where my hair either gives me a purpose or lets me finally dye over it." She looked at Eliza before shrugging. "Seems like our dreams won't be coming true anytime soon."

As they made their way through the building Eliza gave her an annoyed look. "I will never understand how you and Addison are sisters. You're literally polar opposites from each other." They made their way outside and Zed quickly grabbed all of the stuff he needed to set up in order to ask Addison to prawn.

"And yet you love us both equally." Wren commented with a questioning look before smirking in amusement as Eliza rolled her eyes in response.

"If he embarrasses himself, I expect a video." Eliza pointed.

Wren saluted her. "Your wish is my command."

They made it out to where Zed was setting up. Wren helped him and complained the whole time, much to Zeds annoyance. The girl found amusement in it and when he seemed to be at his breaking point she decided to back off because if Zed snapped at her and Addison found out about it, there would be hell to pay. There was only one person in this entire world that Addison would tear her kindness away for and that was Wren. The two sisters were close and nobody messed with them or that person had the other sibling to answer to. Much to everyone's surprise, Addison could be scary when she truly wanted to be.

From her spot beside of Wren, Zoey quickly asked, "When do I throw the confetti?"

Zed, who was standing on a ladder and screwing in light bulbs to a sign, said, "You'll know." He nodded confidently at his sister before going back to the task at hand.

Wren turned her head to see the bus starting to approach. "Hey, uh, bud."

"Yeah, Re?" He turned and his eyes widened as the bus approached him before it hit him making him cling to the top of the roof. The bus swerved on the road and before it plummeted into the forbidden forest Zed managed to fall off of it. Zoey and Wren quickly ran over to Zed, the two teenagers cringing as the bus crashed.

Zoey turned to her brother and smiled as she threw the confetti. "Now!" Wren snickered in slight amusement before the three went running after the bus. It took them a moment but finally they found Addison standing by herself, back faced towards them. Zed reached out and touched her shoulder and on instinct Addison turned and punched him in the face. This earned a laugh from Wren.

"Zed!" Addison smiled, quickly hugging the zombie.

"I missed you too."

"Well, for the record, I didn't." Wren commented as the two pulled away. Addison smiled in amusement before walking over to Wren and giving her a hug. Wren didn't hesitate to hug her back.

"Didn't miss me, huh?" Addison pulled away and Wren rolled her eyes.

"There they are!" One of the guys yelled as the entire cheer team joined them.

"Zoey." Addison noticed the little girl who had run up beside her brother. She then looked back at Zed and Wren. "We're not alone. We're surrounded by. . . werewolves."

"Cool!" Zoey excitedly exclaimed.

"What? Wolves?" Stacey asked from behind her causing Addison to whip around to face the group.

"Where Wolves?" Lacey cried.

"Here Wolves?" Jacey feared.

In unison all three Acey's yelled, "Werewolves!"

"Say it louder for the people in the back." Wren groaned, rolling her eyes in annoyance.

"No one's going to believe this." Zed shook his head as the three Acey's typed away on their phones. He then turned his head to look at Wren with worry started to decorate his face. "Right?"

"I have a feeling we're about to find out."
