━︎━︎━︎━︎𝐖𝐑𝐄𝐍 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃𝐍'𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏 the smile that fell on her face as she sat back against the wall, watching as all of the wolves singed and dance, she even laughed when they dragged her sister into it and then she and Willa had a dance off that ended with Addison howling hello in the correct way. Wren let out a surprised gasp when she watched her sister transform into a more wolf like outfit. Her hair was longer and in multiple different braids, she had an outfit on that matched the wolves, she had dark make up around her eyes. It was a complete make over for her sister, and Wren couldn't help but admit that she looked good.
"Wren, come on!" Addison tried to rope her in.
Wren chuckled but waved her off. "That's okay, sis. I'll let you have your moment."
Willa walked over to Wren, glancing at her. "If your sister really is our Great Alpha, I know that means I'll be seeing you more than I'd like."
Wren smirked at Willa. "So, it really does get under your skin that I'm not scared of you."
Willa huffed. "He told you that?"
Wren shrugged, "He didn't want me to cause you anymore problems." Wren paused. "If I had known what you guys were truly dealing with, I never would've."
"I trust Addison." Willa admitted to her. The wolf turned her head to look at the girl, giving her a small smile. "I trust you too." Her eyes darted down to the moonstone that was on her neck. She'd never truly noticed it until now. "You have a moonstone?"
Wren held it in her hand, nodding. "Yeah. Uh. . . when I was a baby, my mom left me on the Wells doorstep. She left this necklace with me. I'm not sure why and I'm not sure how she got it."
"That's why you're here." Willa realized. "When Wyatt told me that you had to come too, he didn't tell me why."
"He said that one of your elders might know the answers to my questions." Wren admitted to her. "I just want answers to what happened to my real mom, that's all."
Willa nodded, sympathetic. "And I hope you get what you're looking for."
"Addison!" The sound of Zed's voice made the two stand up straight.
"Shit." Wren whispered, quickly running after Zed.
"Zed!" Addison yelled in surprise.
Zed took a stand in front of her protectively. "Don't make me take this off! You don't want ot see me zombie out!" The wolves growled and his bracelet came off, his zombie side coming to life.
"Wolves!" Willa called.
"Zed, stop!" Wren made her way in front of him, but she came too close. The zombie snapped at her and his hand came forwards, hitting her roughly against the chest. Wren went flying in the air before she slammed against the wall, her head slamming against the rock.
"Wren!" Wyatt yelled her name, jumping down from the top and quickly making his way towards Zed, ready to attack him.
"No, stop!" Addison yelled, quickly running over to Zed and putting his z-band back on his wrist making him turn back to normal. "Zed, I want to be here!"
"What?" Zed asked, confused.
Bree quickly pulled out her phone. "What? But you texted help."
"Wren and I needed help on the chemistry homework." Addison explained, glancing over to her unconscious sister with worry, Wyatt kneeling down beside of the girl with Willa at his side. He was gently trying to shake her awake and from what Addison could tell, she was slowly coming to. She looked back at Bree. "Didn't you see the beaker emoji?"
Bree looked down at her phone. "Oh. . . I do now." She laughed awkwardly. "By the way, I love this new look. New hairstylist?"
"Werewolves, they know hair." Addison answered.
"And manicures." Wynter commented, holding out her hands.
Addison looked at Zed who was looking over in Wren's direction with regret and guilt completely written on his face. "They think I may be a werewolf too."
Zed looked at his girlfriend in disbelief. "What? How?"
"Maybe a grandparent. My hair means something. This could be my pack."
"Ow." Wren groaned. She stood up with Wyatt helping her. She leaned against him as they made their way back over to Addison, Willa walking in front of them.
"For centuries, this has been set aside for the great alpha." Willa told Addison, holding a box in her hand. Willa opened it to reveal a glowing moonstone.
"A fully charged moonstone is priceless to us, Addison." Wyatt told her.
Willa continued. "If you're truly one of us, when you put it on, you'll be transformed into a werewolf. Part of our pack, forever."
"What? No!" Zed yelled. He looked at Addison. "Wait."
Addison sighed before looking at Willa. "Can I think about it?"
Willa glanced at Wynter and Wyatt before looking back at Addison. "For a day."
Addison took the box from her as Wyatt spoke. "Once you've joined us, you can lead us to the hidden moonstone."
"But she doesn't know where it is." Wynter said.
"Knowing that one, she'll find it somehow." Wren answered, wiping the blood off her head.
"Are you okay?" Addison asked, taking a stand in front of her sister. Worry was clear on her face.
Wren smiled reassuringly, nodding her head and wincing as she did so. That was going to leave a mark for sure. "Yep. I'm just peachy."
"Wren. . ." Zed took a step forwards but the threatening growl that came from Wyatt made him stop in his tracks. When the ground suddenly started to shake they all looked around in confusion. "What?" Zed frowned.
Quickly Wren, Wyatt, Willa, Addison, Bonzo, Bree, Eliza, and Zed all ran out of the den and over to the edge where they could see all of Seabrook. Their eyes landed on Seabrook Power that was lighting up with yellow.
Bonzo said something in zombie tongue and Zed replied with, "Yeah, the explosion came from Seabrook power."
"They must be testing charges for the demolition tomorrow," Addison suggested.
"Seabrook Power is the birth place of zombies." Eliza explained to the wolves.
"A little lime soda mixed with some mysterious energy, and bang! Zombies." Zed said with a smile as he had gotten in Wynter's face, making her jump. She showed her fangs and claws in response.
"Nice story, but it doesn't concern us." Willa rolled her eyes.
"But it does concern you, Willa." Addison said with wide eyes of realization. "Seabrook Power was fueled by a mysterious energy source. That could be your moonstone, right?"
"She found the moonstone." Wyatt said, looking at Willa. "She's amazing."
"Please don't boost her ego." Wren muttered. "I still have to live with her every day."
Addison rolled her eyes as Wyatt continued, "If she's right. . . wow."
"We'll see you at school tomorrow, Addison." Willa told the white haired girl.
"Okay! Tomorrow." Addison nodded. "Big day."
"Open my window." Wren told her sister. "I'll be home late."
"Okay." Addison nodded again, giving her sister a smile and a squeeze on the arm in reassurance before she turned around and left with Bree and the zombies following her.
"Wren, do you mind giving us a second?" Willa politely asked.
"Oh no, go right ahead." Wren pulled herself out of Wyatt's grip, immediately missing his warmth. "I will wait patiently outside." Wren made her way inside, taking a moment to walk out of the den and waving goodbye to her sister. By the time she'd watched her sister and her friends disappear, Wyatt was waiting patiently for her.
"Are you sure you want to do this tonight?" Wyatt asked as Wren stood in front of him. He reached forwards, gently brushing her hair back to reveal a small cut on her forehead. He could kill Zed for laying a hand on her. "You could have a concussion."
"Wyatt, I'm okay." Wren whispered, pulling his hand from her face but continuing to hold it. She smiled at him. "It's cute when you worry about me."
"I could've killed him for laying a hand on you." Wyatt snarled, shaking his head. "He hurt you, Wren."
"And it was an accident, Wyatt." Wren kept her voice calm, knowing anger of her own would only make his worse. "Look at me." He did. "I am okay. Zed was only trying to protect Addison. He lost control and I put myself in the line of fire. That's no one's fault but my own. Don't be mad at him, if anything be mad that I put myself in his way."
Wyatt shook his head, anger fading as a small smile pulled at his lips. "I could never be mad at you." He grabbed her hand, walking backwards as he pulled her back inside. "Come on, someone's been waiting to meet you."
Wren held onto his hand tightly, ignoring the smirk Willa sent her when she saw they were holding hands. She was led deeper into the den before coming across a woman with graying hair. She was laying in bed, clear that she was sick from the moonstone. Suddenly Wren felt bad about wanting to find answers. She knew it could wait until after the wolves had found their moonstone.
Before they got any closer, Wren gently tugged on Wyatt's arm. Wyatt stopped and turned to look at her, giving her a questioning look. "Wyatt, maybe I should wait until you've found your moonstone. I don't want to bother her. My answers aren't as important as her health."
"Wyatt, is that her?" The frail woman spoke up. "Is that my granddaughter?"
