Natasha couldn't sleep. So she sneaked out.
She wished she could.
She wished she could just close her eyes, and leave the world that made her lose the will to live.
Who would have thought that the only place she would feel safe in was in her dreams?
Dreams that somehow felt like reality. Dreams that made her want to live. Dreams that showed her the man she grew to love.
Aleksander..
Alek.. Her Aleksander.
Was he even real? Does he even exist?
Of course, he does! She thought.
"Aleksander is real, if he wasn't then why does it feel like he is here with me?" She quietly said to herself.
Every night, he visited her in dreams that felt too vivid to be mere figments of her imagination.
When he stood beside her, it was as if he was truly there, his form solid, his gaze unwavering, and his presence unmistakably real.
Even after she woke, his voice stayed with her, low and familiar, like a song she'd heard long ago.
It left her with a strange pull, a feeling that he was meant to be real, meant to be by her side, even if he was only a dream.
Natasha found herself longing for sleep, just to see him again, even if it was only in those fleeting, impossible moments.
A tear slipped down her cheek, surprising her even though the ache in her chest was nothing new.
She turned her face toward the sky, feeling the rough bark of the tree at her back, lost in her thoughts.
What she didn't know was that Aleksander stood in the distance, his gaze fixed on her, his dark eyes intense and unwavering.
He watched her quietly, captivated by the way the fading light caught in her hair and softened her expression.
She was unaware of him, yet he felt the pull, as if some invisible thread bound them together, leaving him just as restless as she was.
Natasha rose slowly, brushing the leaves from her nightgown as she began the quiet walk back to her tent. She moved through the fading light, her steps soft, her mind still clouded by thoughts of him.
Aleksander stayed in the shadows, watching her every step, ensuring she reached her tent safely. He lingered there, hidden among the trees, his eyes never leaving her until she disappeared behind the canvas.
Only then did he let himself relax, content in knowing she was safe, even if she would never know he was there.

As Natasha slipped into sleep, Aleksander returned to his tent, a quiet thrill settling in his chest. He knew he would see her again soon.
when Natasha's eyes fluttered open in her dream, she found herself lying on a bed in a dimly lit bedroom, the air thick with warmth and the faint scent of pine.
She shifted, rolling to her side, and froze. There, just inches away, was Aleksander, his eyes closed, his breathing calm and even.
A soft smile touched her lips as she watched him, her heart swelling with a quiet joy and warmth she couldn't fully explain. It felt right, as if, even in a dream, this was exactly where she was meant to be.
Softly, Natasha whispered his name. "Aleksander."
At the sound, his eyes opened, dark and warm, meeting hers as if he had just woken beside her.
She reached out, her fingers tracing along his cheek, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath her touch. Her hand lingered, brushing over each feature as if memorizing him—the curve of his jaw, the softness beneath his eyes.
A gentle smile played on her lips, her heart full, and Aleksander, feeling the same quiet joy, placed his hand over hers, holding her gaze with an intensity that spoke all the words he couldn't say. At that moment, there was no distance, no barriers—only them, together in the soft glow of the dream.
