Mermaid Biology - Merliah isn't like the human made mermaids such Rikki and the gang. She doesn't turn into mermaid whenever she immediately gets the slightest bit wet or can't go back into a human form in tell climbing out of the water and have to be 100 percent dry. She can turn into a mermaid/human on her own terms due to a special necklaces that her mother made her. It's made with the strongest of mermaid magic. Merliah has the ability to swim at super speed of 800km/h, and dive at a depth lower than the deepest divers in the whole world.

    Super Speed: Merliah's speed is tremendously enhanced beyond that of peak human potential, moving into the early levels of superhuman condition.

    Super Hearing/All Senses; All of Merliah's sense are also enhanced on a much higher level. This enables her to see, hear, smell, feel, and taste all sort things imperceptible to humans. While swimming, she is able to see and sense everything that is around her, making Merliah able to keep tabs of her whole surroundings, and avoid hitting anything unnecessarily.     Enhanced Durability: Merliah's bones and muscles are apparently much more denser, and more resilient than that of say a normal human's or even that of a vampire.
