(Y/N) and Mirabel followed Bruno into his hide away room, seeing multiple different things with rats everywhere and one thing that stood out to (Y/N) was the rats on a little table squeaking. All playing with Bruno's stuff that laid there.

"You never left." (Y/N) muttered out loud, glancing around the room.

"Uh, well, I left my tower which was, you know." Bruno chuckled, "Was a lot of stairs." He grabbed a arepa con queso from a plate located near his red dusty chair, "And here, eh, kitchen adjacent." He held up the food and clicks his tounge.

Bruno picked up a rat from his chair, "Ooh, ooh, plus, free entertainment." He said to the girls, placing the rat next to another rat on a tiny stage.

"So what do you two like? You like sports? Game shows? Telenovelas?" He asked then listed going through book cutouts as a rat squeaked, running away with a piece of cheese making another one pop it's head through, "Their love could never be." Bruno finished, falling back down onto his red chair.

(Y/N) and Mirabel looked towards Bruno confused, "I don't understand." The (H/C) spoke honestly.

"Well, because she's his aunt and she has amnesia so she can't remember that she's his aunt, It's like very forbidden kind of..." Bruno started explaining and only to get interrupted by Mirabel.

"We don't understand why you left, but didn't leave." Mirabel spoke up and Bruno glanced at the girls.

"Oh, well, because, huh." His lips lifted slightly, "The mountain's around the encanto are pretty tall." Bruno stood up, walking over to a makeshift table and picked up another arepa.

"And uh, like I said, free food and everything." He turned to the rats, picking up the animals, "You guys love the free food, don't ya? Always hungry. Never satisfied."

(Y/N) bumped Mirabel's hand, gesturing with her head towards the table. The two of them walked over slowly and saw a makeshift plate with Bruno's name on the bottom, similar to the families one.

(Y/N)'s heart broke for the poor man, feeling herself tear up a little.

"Yeah, my gift wasn't helping the family." Bruno spoke quietly from behind them, "But, uh, I love my family, you know?" He had a sad smile on his face, shrugging his left shoulder a bit. "I just don't know how to..." He stuttered, looking down and shaking his head, "I just don't know how to.."

Bruno sighed, sitting back down in his red chair, "Well, anyway, I think you two should go, because, um." He paused, "I don't really have a good reason, but if I did, you'd both be like, 'I should go, because that's a good reason.'"

"Why was Mirabel and I in your vision?" (Y/N) asked gently, walking over to the male, "I just wanted to make the family proud of Mirabel for once, but if I should stop, if I'm hurting our family.. just tell me." she breathed out.

As the girl was talking, Mirabel looked at (Y/N) with a watery smile. She was so grateful for (Y/N), knowing that the girl would stop at nothing to get the family to acknowledge and expect Mirabel for who she is. Once again, (Y/N) was acting selfless with no reward needed.

Bruno takes a deep breath in, "I can't tell you two.. because I don't know." He admitted, placing down the green pieces onto the thing they came from and putting it back together, "I had this vision the night that Mirabel didn't get her gift. Abuela worried about the magic so, she begged me to look into the future. See what it meant and I saw the magic in danger. Our house breaking. And then, and then, I saw you two. But the vision was different. It.. It would change. And there was no one answer. No clear fate. Like your future was undecided. But I knew how it was gonna look, I knew what everyone would think because I'm Bruno and everyone always assumes the worst, so.. " He finished with a heavy sigh.

(Y/N) picked up the vision, looking at it with Mirabel, seeing how when you turned it one way, the vision showed (Y/N) screaming with a purple glow exploding out of her body and the other one showed the same purple glow but instead it glowed around the house, helping it somehow with no cracks, "You left to protect me and Mirabel?"

"I don't know which way it'll go, but my guess.." Bruno looked at the girls, "The family, the encanto, and the fate of the miracle itself.. Well, it's all gonna come down to you two."

Bruno then snatched the vision back, placing it back down onto his foot rest, "Or maybe I'm wrong. You know, it's a mystery. That's why this vision is.." He blew a raspberry with thumbs down and gently ushered the two girls towards the door, opening it up for them.

"Look, if I could help any more, I would, but uhm." Bruno shrugged, "That's all I know. Good luck. I wish I could've seen more." He gently punched (Y/N)'s shoulder and shut the door when the girl's were out.

Just as (Y/N) and Mirabel were outside, an idea ticked inside of (Y/N)'s big brain, laughing and kicked the door opened, scaring the poor rat man inside.

Mirabel raised her eyebrows at her friend but followed nevertheless.

"You wish you could have seen more, so see more! Have another vision!" (Y/N) exclaimed excitedly, following Bruno around as he tries to hide from the girl.

"Oh, no, no. See, I don't do visions anymore." Bruno said nervously, taking ahold of a broom to hide.

"But you could."

"But I won't."

"You can't say the weight of the world is on your shoulders. The end." (Y/N) spoke, grabbing ahold of the broom from Bruno, "If our fate's up to us, we says have another vision." The girl kept backing up Bruno making him trip and land onto the ground, the rats squeaking at getting landed on. "Maybe it'll show us what to do."

Bruno shot back up, pointing a finger at (Y/N), "Look, even if I wanted to, which I don't. You wrecked my vision cave." He gave her a look, "Which is a problem, cause I need a big open space."

(Y/N) smiled, hands clasped behind her back, "We'll find one!"

Bruno gestured with his hands, "Where?"

"Use my room."

At this new voice, (Y/N), Mirabel and Bruno turned around surprised to see Antonio whom was surrounded by animals, holding a rat in his hand.

"The rat's told me everything." Antonio said sweetly, looking over to see his leopard trying to eat some of Bruno's pets, "Don't eat those."

The leopard pouted at his owner.

(Y/N) turned back to Bruno, a serious look on her face, "Our family needs help, and you need to get outta here."

Bruno opened his mouth to say something but looked over seeing his rats using his toothbrushes to clean themselves, freezing when they got caught.

He looked back, shrugging his shoulders with a lazy look, "Meh."

Elsewhere back in the Madrigal house, things weren't so great.

"You should have told me the second you saw the vision. Think of the family." Abuela scowled a very unhappy Agustin.

"I was thinking of my daughters." Agustin fired back with no hesitation. The older male indeed thinking of (Y/N) as his own.

A sudden snow blew past them, making Abuela look towards the cause of it. "Pepa, calm down."

"I'm doing my best. You're lucky it's not a hurricane!" The angry Pepa shouted while her husband tried to make the cloud go away, ending it losing his hat when the wind picked up from Pepa's anger.

"Camilo is worried sick about (Y/N) and we don't even know where she is!" Pepa shouted again, remembering how her son was in tears when he couldn't find (Y/N) anywhere.

Abuela sighed and shook her head.

"Mama, you've always been too hard on Mirabel. Especially (Y/N)... you already know how much of a burden she feels to this family." Julieta told her mother straightforward. More cracks appearing when the mother talked.

"Look around. We must protect our family, our encanto. We cannot lose our home." Abuela's voice started to crack, the family hearing how sad she was but not for the children, only for the house.

The house door opened, seeing a few elderly of the village community, "Senora, perdon. People in town are becoming anxious about the magic. They want to see you." The older man spoke softly.

Abuela sighed, "(Y/N) and Mirabel were in that vision for a reason." She walked over and grabbed her shawl, "Find them." She ordered just before walking out of the house.
