PROLOGUE โโ calm before the storm
A sleek black Chevy Impala skidded down the deserted roads of Beacon Hills. The red head in the car had left her families home back in New Orleans. Her sisters in law Caroline and Davina, had suggested her to leave sooner due to the weather that was to commence. Worried for the red head's safety. Ophelia shrugged it off wanting to spend more time with the family, seeing that she hadn't seen them in months and was home sick to say the least. She didn't want to leave her friends/pack but Scott being Scott insisted that she see's her family, especially with everything that occurred months ago with the benefactor and also their new little beta, who had taken a liking to the Original. Not that she minded, she adored the blue eyed boy.
"Damnit." Ophelia mumbled as it started to pour rain heavily. She looked down at her phone seeing 3 texts from her hyperactive best friend, 8 texts from the true alpha, and 14 texts from her strawberry blonde best friend. She gulped already knowing Lydia was plotting her death right now. Ophelia sighed and clicked on the blue tooth on her phone.
Phones these days still amazed the red head with all the technology induced in them. A low growl was heard through the car as she glared to the corner of her phone, no service. She abruptly came to a stop seeing cars trailed in front of her. "Seriously?" She shouted in frustration.
She bit her lip already knowing her friend's are going to kill her if she was late, especially for senior scribe. With a huff, she turned her ignition off, and pulled her hood over hear thick hair. The hybrid got out of her car, shutting her door. She held up her phone for any sort of signal to call her friends.
She looked down the road seeing passengers out of their cars waiting in the rain as well. A girl standing on the top of her car caught her eye. Ophelia tilted her head to the side, with narrowed eyes she shown her ambient eyes at her. Seeing the familiar orange fox figure she smiled widely. The original jogged down the road passing by residences of Beacon Hills and cars. Holding her hood down to cover her thick locks.
"Kira?!" Ophelia shouted over the rain making the kitsune look down at the hybrid, a wide smile spreading across her features. The kitsune jumped down engulfing the red head in a hug. The two giggled into one another's shoulders.
"I texted Scott he hasn't replied back." She shouted back at the Original, pulling apart.
"I have no signal." Ophelia explained with a shrug. She looked into the car seeing Kira's parents, with a wide smile she shouted greeting the duo, "Hi, Mr. and Mrs.Yukimara!" The two winced at the red head's loud tone. Ophelia looked to the two apologetically, and mumbled a 'sorry.'
Feeling eyes burning to the side of her face, she looked to her right seeing a boy around her age. Well, 17. Starring at her and Kira, before she could make a sassy remark to the boy, she heard the familiar roaring of a bike engine.
Ophelia smirked over to Kira, "He's here." She nodded over the kitsune's shoulder seeing Scott McCall on his dirt bike riding past the pile up of cars.
He stopped in front of the two girls. The alpha hopped off his bike, taking hold of Kira's face and kissed her deeply. Making the Original widen her eyes, whilst smirking to the couple. After roughly a minute, Ophelia coughed announcing her presence.
Scott and Kira broke apart from their small moment. Scott looked past the brunette to a familiar doe eyed beauty, with a wide smile he spoke, "O? You're finally back!" Ophelia nodded to the puppy eyed alpha. Scott engulfed the smaller girl, hugging her tightly.
"We need to get to the school." Kira's voice broke the duo apart. Ophelia nodded to her friend, and looked back to her car down the road at the end of the pile up.
"Go, I'll meet you guys there." She assured her friends. Kira and Scott looked hesitantly to the girl, with a small smile she nodded. "I'll be fine, go."
"Hurry or Lydia will kill you." Kira joked to the red head. Ophelia chuckled and nodded, watching the duo hop on Scott's lime-green dirt bike. She watched the two speed away. Ophelia looked down seeing the time, 9pm. With a nod to herself she spun around on her heels crashing into a hard chest.
"Watch where you're going." She spat out and looked up to see the same boy who had eyed the two earlier. Ophelia narrowed her eyes at the boy who gazed down at the girl, she snapped her finger's in front of his eyes, snapping the boy back to reality.
"Sorry." The boy apologized with a slight smirk. Ophelia awkwardly nodded her head at the weird boy.
"It's fine, have a nice night." She smiled awkwardly and jogged back down to her parked car, backing up taking a different route to Beacon Hills high.

OPHELIA walked through the rain towards the high school. Upon reaching the front of the school she spotted three familiar figures standing underneath the awning of the school away from the rain. Liam smiled widely smelling the familiar rose and vanilla scent, filling his senses. He turned around seeing bright red locks under her grey hood. She sauntered over where Liam hugged the Original, squeezing her as he mumbled an 'I missed you.' Ophelia smiled at the blue eyed beta. Hugging the boy back.
She giggled, "I missed you too, my favourite beta." She kissed his cheek, his cheeks tinting pink. Ophelia pulled away eyeing the couple across from the duo who watched in amusement. Ophelia rushed over and hugged her two other best friends.
"Did you get in?" Ophelia asked Malia with wide hopeful eyes, pulling away from the duo.
"I don't know yet.." She trailed off frowning. "I don't want to do this unless I'm actually a senior." Ophelia looked at the were-coyote with a frown, she rubbed her arm gently.
"What's wrong with you?" Malia sniffed the air and turned to her boyfriend in confusion who rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet nervously.
"Yeah, you reek." Ophelia and Liam in unison.
"Yeah, it's called anxiety. Should be a familiar scent for you guys by now, since it's pretty much a constant state for me." Stiles replied, fiddling with his hands.
Ophelia furrowed her brows, "Why is this thing so important for you?" Malia asked her boyfriend in confusion.
"Because he doesn't want us to drift apart." Ophelia tilted her head to the side eyeing her friend who nodded to the red head.
"I-I uh, asked my dad the other day about his high school friends. Guess how many he still talks to? None. Not a single one. You know, these were his best friends and he just says he lost touch with them, you know. So I started thinking about things, like I always do-" Stiles rambled flailing his arms around.
"Obsessively." "Always." Both girls said in unison.
"Yeah, and so I'm thinking, what if Scott's my best friend now, you know, but he's not my best friend for life?" Stiles sighed, Ophelia looked to the hazel eyed boy with sad eyes.
"He will always be by your side Stiles. As will you. Even though we're going on about our lives, the both of you will remain constant." She spoke softly, the human smiled faintly at the girl.
"That was the dream wasn't it?" Malia asked.
"The vision." Stiles corrected her, "And don't mock the vision." He defended.
"No, I like the vision. Especially if I'm apart of it." Malia shook her head, gazing into her boyfriends eyes, holding his hand in her smaller one.
The couple leaned in and kissed passionately, both the Original and the beta rolled their eyes glancing away awkwardly. Ophelia glanced around the school eyeing the students who rushed into the Library for Senior Scribe night.
Liam furrowed his brows hearing clashing in the distance, and what seemed like a familiar growl. Liam grasped Ophelia's smaller hand in his, "Scott." She narrowed her eyes and listened in, hearing ragged breathing and claws scraping against skin.
"Scott's in trouble." She called out. She held the beta's hand and sped away with him. Malia and Stiles followed behind rushing to the scene. Ophelia let go of Liam's hand and sped over knocking the man down, who had thrown Kira down roughly. Growling, she let her claws extend as her fangs and ambient eyes shown, her veins running beneath them. Liam stood beside the Original his golden eyes shinning bright like the moon itself, his fangs piercing the air.
"What the hell are you?" The man grunted out, starring fearful at Ophelia. The Original sped over and wrapped her hand around the creature's throat. Lifting him up choking him.
"I'm a Scorpio." She spoke in confusion, cocking her head to the side. She threw him into the wall behind him, his head bounced off the concrete wall. She sped over grabbing him by his head and bit into his neck. The man elbowed her in her abdomen, then kicked her back where she landed beside Kira in a heap, groaning.
Liam roared and ran over scrapping the man's chest repeatedly, only for the creature to grab Liam by his throat and throw him back. Liam collided with the floor and slid back. Ophelia looked up to see another werewolf but it wasn't Scott. The mystery wolf attacked the creature, jumping on his back clawing at the man's skin. Only for him too, to be thrown back beside Kira and Ophelia. Before she could get back up and help Scott the creature dug his claws into Scott's chest. Liam hoisted Ophelia up by her waist, Kira stood beside the red head as they watched Scott break the creatures arm and tore his claws out from his chest.
"I don't know who you are or what you thought you were going to do, but I'll give you a choice. You can stay and I'll break something else. Or you can run." Scott hissed at the man, cracking his wrist more.
The unknown creature looked up to the pack who all wore threatening glares, then to Ophelia who smirked in return. "I'd run." Licking the blood off her plump lips, flashing her fangs with a hiss.
The pack looked towards the mysterious boy who helped them in confusion, he smiled strolling up to the pack. "You don't remember me do you?" He looked to Scott, every so often glancing at the Original who was busy helping Kira stand. Liam growled lowly stepping in front of Ophelia.
"I guess I look a little different since the fourth grade." He commented with a smirk.
"Theo?" Scott widened his eyes in shock and disbelief.
"You know him?" Ophelia mumbled from behind the wolves blocking her view. She narrowed her eyes at the wolf, it was the same boy she had seen earlier that night with Kira.
"They used to." Theo smiled to the red head. Then back to Scott. "Trust me, I never thought I'd see you guys again. A couple months ago, I heard of an Alpha in Beacon Hills. When I found out his name was Scott McCall, I just couldn't believe it. Not just an Alpha, but a True Alpha." Theo explained with a wide smile, looking to the Alpha. Ophelia narrowed her eyes at the boy, not trusting his words and intentions.
Maybe he was who said he was, but it doesn't mean he was the same kid Scott knew back then. She wasn't the same person she was before she came to Beacon Hills. Everyone who had come to this town wanted Scott's title or wanted to kill them all. Either way she wasn't going to blindly trust the blue eyed boy, even if he did seem harmless. Ophelia looked harmless herself but could easily snap your neck.
Ophelia glanced over seeing Stiles to not believing the boy. Stiles glanced at the Original who nodded discreetly. Showing that she to did not believe his words.
"What do you want?" Scott asked genuinely. Ophelia wanted to slap him on the back of the head repeatedly with her heeled boots.
Theo smiled, "I came back to Beacon Hills. Back home with my family. Because I want to be apart of your pack." Ophelia scoffed mumbling a, 'yeah right.' The pack looked to the Original who widened her eyes not realizing she had spoken out loud. She muttered a 'sorry.' Glaring at the boy who stood in front of the pack.

"WE haven't seen this kid in years, you don't find that highly suspicious?" Stiles continued to ramble about the new wolf in town. The pack entered the doors of the school, hurrying to the library where they were to be met with an impatient strawberry blonde.
Ophelia nodded her head frantically in agreement with her friend. "He's right, I mean everyone who's new to Beacon Hills, has turned out to be a threat one way or another. And or tried to kill us." She pointed out.
Scott came to an abrupt stop along with the pack, he glanced at the Original in amusement. "Didn't you try to take a bite out of Stiles, the first week you arrived here?" He raised a brow at the red head.
She sheepishly looked down, "I can control myself..." She trailed off. "Just as long as I don't have to much.. and I said I was sorry." She mumbled guiltily. Stiles rubbed her back as a sign it was okay with him.
"Mhm." Scott hummed to the Original. "Anyways, I'm kind of more concerned about the guy who just tried to kill me." The group kept walking through the halls of Beacon high, only for them to come to another stop upon hearing Malia's phone chime.
"I'm in. I passed!" She smiled widely, sighing out in relief. Ophelia let out a squeal as Scott and Malia covered their ears due to their sensitive and heightened hearing. Ophelia sheepishly smiled to the two.
"Thank God. Where have you guys been? The whole senior class is here. Are we doing this or not?" Lydia stood with her hands placed on her hips, with a scolding look on her face to the group. The pack smiled and nodded to one another, Lydia smiled and grasped Ophelia's hand as they all made their way down to the library.
Ophelia waited behind Malia excitedly bouncing up and down, the later smiling to the shorter yet much older girl. In her 1000+ years she was never as excited as she was today, she never did this before in her schools. Granted she was only signing her initials on a shelf. But she was excited that all her friends were there, maybe not all. But she was happy they had survived another threat.
She was brought out of her trance as Kira spoke up nervously, "This isn't . . . vandalism is it?" She looked to Ophelia then to Lydia who glanced to one another.
"Not technically." Lydia lied to the kitsune.
Stiles smiled reading over the initials of the older classes, he smiled widely seeing a familiar D.H in bold lettering. Handing over his marker to Malia who hesitated holding the marker, she gnawed on her bottom lip and smiled to herself marking M.T down. She handed the marker over to the red head behind her.
Ophelia grasped the marker looking over all the familiar names. With a soft smile, she marked down O.M. She then glanced down to her charm bracelet, specifically the diamond encrusted letter E. Ophelia gnawed on her bottom lip grasping the marker tightly and marked down, E.R. With a sad smile, tears breamed her doe eyes. She gazed at the initials remembering the blonde wolf. She furrowed her brows ready to mark down another familiar initial.
Scott looked at the Original and asked softly, "Can I?" He smiled sadly at the doe eyed girl in front of him, who nodded her head with a small smile. She handed him the sharpie. And walked over to Lydia, who grasped the red headed girl's hand. The pack watched Scott write S.M and A.A with sad smiles.
Scott gave the marker to the boy behind him, then walked over to his pack. "She would have been with us." Stiles spoke up, then glanced at the short red head. "Both of them." She smiled sadly at the thought of the two girls.
"They still are." Lydia spoke up, squeezing Ophelia's hand with a sad smile.
