ย ย ย โ THE CAMERA CLICKED ON as the trio sat in the car, Sam sat in the back with the camera in hand while Colby drove and Jasper sat in the passenger seat.
"Ten minutes away." Sam stated, focusing the camera on the duo in the front, "How are we feeling?"
"I'm excited." Jasper grinned, "I've never really done anything like this, it'll be.." he trailed off, glancing at Colby in the driver's seat, "interesting..."

ย ย ย ย COLBY parked in front of the hospital beside a car they assumed belonged to their guide.
"We're here." He said looking back at the camera warily. Something felt different about this place... he glanced at Jasper and then away as the blonde stepped out of the car.
Jasper took a shaky breath as he took in the hospital. Even from the outside, it seemed haunted. It towered over them darkly as Mother Nature took it over, vines wrapping around the building from towering bushes in the front on each side of the red staircase that led to the worn doors that seemed to have holes boarded up. On each side of the door, tall windows stood, one of which was broken into but seemed to have something covering it so intruders couldn't come in. Above the door, Yorktown Memorial Hospital was carved into the structure professionally though it seemed worn after so many years, weathered by Texas's unforgiving weather. Above it, a half-circle window was rusted and boarded up in places.
The hospital admittedly seemed smaller than Jasper expected, though he supposed it made sense with the time it was built in.
He shook his hands out anxiously and approached the man who stood by the other car nearby alongside Sam and Colby.
"Hi, I'm Wyatt." The guide greeted them as they all approached, "Is this everyone?"
"We've got a few friends coming..." Sam trailed off as a car drove in behind them, "Now."
"Noah! Shut up!" A lanky man with brown hair exclaimed as he stepped out of the beat-up red pick up truck, his cowboy boots stomping into the old road in front of the hospital.
"I didn't say anything!" A tall man with a British accent responded with a laugh as he stepped out after, they walked around the car and met at the front, intertwining their hands even as the shorter of the two seemed guarded and weary as they approached.
"Howdy." The first greeted.
"Hey Beau, Noah." Colby greeted with a smile.
Beau, meaning beautiful... yeah that tracks, Jasper thought. Both men were beautiful but Beau had striking blue eyes which paired with his wavy hair made him seem well beyond beautiful. Standing several inches taller beside him, Noah was just as beautiful as his counterpart though he seemed more lanky than the man built like a real-life cowboy. Jasper stood at 6"0 and never considered himself short however in front of Noah he certainly felt it.
"I'm Wyatt, I'll be your guide today." Wyatt spoke, surprisingly not intimidated by the tall lanky man like Jasper was. Don't get him wrong, Noah seemed very kind already but his height was enough to make Jasper intimidated.
"Beau, nice to meet you." The first greeted kindly, his country accent much thicker than their guide's.
"I'm Wil; don't worry I don't expect you to remember all our names." He laughed, shaking the guide's hand.
Wyatt, having already known Sam and Colby's names from previous communication turned to the blonde next which in turn made everyone else look at him, "I'm Jasper." He stuttered out wondering how he made it this far as a content creator if he couldn't even greet someone without a blush on his cheeks.
"You already know us." Sam joked.
Wyatt nodded and smiled, "Should we get started?" With all their agreement, Sam started recording as they approached the front doors of the hospital, "Now before we go in there's one rule." He looked at them all sternly, "Don't anger the Nuns."
Without another word, he turned and unlocked the doors which promptly blew open. "The wind's crazy today." Wyatt brushed off casually, stepping into the building. The group glanced at each other but didn't say anything as they walked in. Jasper was the last to walk in, shivering as he passed the threshold. He glanced around anxiously, a strange adrenaline sat untouched right under his skin as he walked the dark halls.
He felt almost numb as he followed the group, he knew Wyatt was talking but heard none of it as he took in the rooms, furniture, and medical equipment still sat in them, forgotten by the world. The walls seemed to scream their dark past as he walked right past. A flickering light overhead made him feel uneasy as he followed behind Colby who was falling further behind to record everyone.
"You okay?" Colby asked when he glanced at him.
Jasper nodded, unable to take his eyes away from their surroundings, "This place is strange."
Colby frowned but couldn't manage to respond before Jasper drifted away to follow the others.
The rest of the tour went on without a hitch, the guide shared stories and sightings and explained some history before heading off to leave them to their investigation. They decided to start out as a group and go through the building once more without a guide. None of them were creeped out yet since they hadn't seen any activity and if it wasn't for the creepy, haunted feeling the entire place gave off Sam and Colby might start to worry the entire place would be a bust.
They were exploring the main lobby when things started to go awry. Lights began to flicker and strange sounds that sounded like footsteps followed. Colby went to investigate with Noah while the others looked around, distracted by the strange happenings, none of them noticed until the lights stopped flickering that Jasper was gone.
They all split up to find him when he didn't respond to them calling his name. Colby walked down a dark hallway with only his phone's flashlight to guide him. He called out Jasper's name as he looked into empty rooms which made him shiver.
"Jasper!" He called as he shined his flashlight into another room only to jump when he saw a dark silhouette, "Jasper?" He asked wearily, holding his phone tighter as he approached.
The silhouette turned and Colby breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Jasper instead of the ghost of a nun, "Jasper, what the hell man?" He asked lightheartedly as he took another step forward, noticing then just how... off the blonde seemed. He frowned, "Hey are you okay?"
Jasper hummed and then blinked, nodding, "Yeah I just... thought I heard something in here." As he spoke his eyes scanned the room wearily as though he was looking for something.
Colby's frown deepened as he began to wonder if maybe Jasper was more sensitive to spirits and paranormal than they thought. "How about we go join the others?" He suggested cautiously, "This room's creeping me out."
"A kid was in here." Jasper said suddenly, "I heard them laughing."
Jasper then turned to him with a more humorous look, "I think this place might be haunted."
Colby chuckled despite the feeling of unease he felt in this room, he nodded, "I think you may be right."

ย ย ย JASPER blinked as the lights flickered, a child's laughter filling the halls. The other's voices were drowned out by the loud noise. He frowned, kids shouldn't be in here. He stepped away from the group as they began to investigate something else, he followed the laughter into a room, as he stepped through the doorway, the laughter abruptly stopped and he found himself alone in an empty hospital room, he looked around at the sad sight. A hospital bed sat in the middle of the room with an old chair beside it, and a children's book sat on the edge of the bed with the covers thrown over it like someone left in a hurry. Around the room, various children's toys could be found hidden beneath debris and cobwebs.
He heard a loud shushing sound by the window followed by a child's voice whispering, "Look!"
He approached the window with a frown and saw someone standing outside looking identical to him but in clothing from decades ago. He frowned in confusion, before hearing someone call his name. He blinked and the man outside the window was gone. He turned away and found Colby standing behind him.
The man seemed to say something but Jasper could only blink, the words sounded muffled to his ears. He couldn't make them out. And then his ears popped just as Colby began to speak again, "Hey, are you okay?" The man asked worriedly, blue eyes settled firmly on him.
Jasper nodded, still out of it, "Yeah... I just... thought I heard something in here." He didn't explain any further, how could he explain the childlike laughter let alone the man standing outside the window, a mirror image of him but somehow... off?
"This room's creeping me out." Colby shivered as he admitted it.
"A kid was in here." He blurted out, unsure of why, maybe it was because when he looked into Colby's eyes, he drowned in them. "I heard them laughing." He admitted he'd had more of a relationship with the paranormal than he would ever admit to anyone except his grandma, a self-proclaimed medium who saw more things than he'd ever like to. He didn't want to be like her, scared of the dark because she knew what was hidden in it.
He forced a smile, "I think this place might be haunted."
