i woke up on the couch, wrapped in matt's arms.

last night, after i asked him to stay, we ended up watching a movie.

i fell asleep a little more than halfway through it and i guess he fell asleep when it was over.

i quietly and carefully untangled myself from his arms and hopped up, running to my bathroom.

i went pee, brushed my hair and my teeth, and applied the tiniest bit of mascara. just so my lashes would look good.

i peeked back into the living room and saw him still asleep on he couch.

i sighed and walked into my kitchen.

i started brewing so coffee and got mugs and creamer out and set them on my counter.

i suddenly remembered i still didn't have my car.

i laughed to myself. i completely forgot to ask him to go and get it.

i made a mental note to remind him after he woke up.

i reached for my phone only to remember i left it in my bedroom last night.

i shrugged and just checked the time on my stove.

it read 7:47.

i was surprised i got up so early. usually, i could sleep until 1pm if i was given the chance.

i poured myself a cup of coffee and added creamer and some sugar that was in my cabinet.

i hear matt behind me and peaked over my shoulder.

he was now sitting up on the couch, stretching.

i looked back at my coffee, continuing to stir it as he got up and walked over.

"hey." he said, softly.

i turned around and leaned my back against my counter.

"hi." i replied with a smile.

i grabbed the other mug of coffee and handed it him.

"i made coffee. i wasn't sure how you like it, so i just left it alone. creamers on the counter and the sugar is right in this cabinet." i explained, pointing to the cabinet on the left side of my head.

"thank you." he said warmly.

i only nodded.

"how are you feeling?" he asked, gently.

"i'm alright. tired."

"yeah. so, next time you go out, you know to call me."

i laughed and shook my head.

"you know, you still haven't taken me to get my car." i said.

"right. i know, im sorry. but hey, now i get to take you to get it." he said with a smug smile.

"i know you had some plan." i teased, narrowing my eyes.

"i know, but can you blame me? i mean, look at you..." he stepped closer to me.

i set my coffee down and looked up at him.

"what's that mean?" i whispered.

he lifted a hand to my cheek and i leaned into his touch.

"you're gorgeous. you have an amazing personality. you're so fun to hang out with. and i absolutely love making you laugh."

i blushed and gave quiet giggle.

i looked him in his eyes.

"i laugh at everything but you're extra funny." i winked.

"well, that is my job."

i hummed and nodded.

he brought his other hand to my cheek.

"my god, jen..." he whispered.

"shut up and kiss me, matt." i whispered back.

and he did.

his hands still holding my cheeks, he leaned down and pressed his lips to mine.

i lifted my hand and placed it on the back of his head, pulling him closer.

his lips moved in sync with mine as butterflies filled my stomach.

i flashed a huge smile as we pulled back.

"now, take me to get my car." i smiled.

"wait, just wait." he leaned down and pressed another quick kiss on my lips.

i laughed as i kissed him back again.

"can we go now?" i asked, sweetly.

"of course." he smiled.
