after a whole day of doing nothing, i got up and got dressed to go out with kaylee.

i decided on a black corset top with light blue denim, baggy jeans.

i put my makeup on and fussed over a couple stray pieces of my hair.

i sighed before kind of fixing them.

my front door opened and i knew it was kaylee.

"in here!" i shouted.

there was only three people who can keys to my apartment.

me, kaylee, and jacob.

that meaning, none of them knocked. unless they forgot their key, which happened a lot.

kaylee walked into my room. she was wearing a silky green cow neck top with baggy light brown cargo pants.

"you look hot." i smirked at her.

"you too, love." she smiled.

i stood up and grabbed my purse.

"you ready?"

"yes! let's go!" she beamed.

we left my apartment and walked to the club. the sun was setting and i stopped to take a sunset picture.

"that's so pretty." i mumbled.

kaylee laughed and grabbed my arm.

we got into the club and got drinks.

the more she had, the less i did.

i knew if we were both shit-faced, it wouldn't be good to walk back to my apartment.

she was on her third as i was still finishing my first drink.

we were dancing and having fun. laughing and singing along to the music.

i sat my empty glass down on the bar and a man who was a little older than i was, approached me.

i had seen him eyeing me while i was dancing but i just ignored it. i was definitely uninterested.

he said hello and i gave him a polite smile back.

"can i buy you a drink?" he offered.

i kept my smile and shook my head.

"i'm alright. thank you, though."

"ah, come on. just one?" he tried.

i forced a small laugh. "no, i already had one, and that's enough." i waved my hand to say no.

"what about a soda? or a water?"

at first i thought he was trying to be nice, maybe he thought i was cute and wanted to shoot his shot. makes sense. perfectly fine.

but the more he tried the more uncomfortable i got.

"i'm ok, sir." i nodded, trying to be respectful.

he opened his mouth to say something again and i ran off to find kaylee.

"let's go!" i yelled over the music she was dancing to.

"no! i'm having fun!" she slurred.

i laughed at how drunk she was and wrapped my hand around her waist and walked her towards the exit.

"ok, i am actually tired. i wanna go home." she sighed.

"me too. that's why we are going back to my apartment. you wanna spend the night?"

"no, i'm gonna call kaya. i'm gonna make her pick me up."

i nodded as we continued walking. i looked behind me.

several feet behind us i saw a man walking.

it would have been fine until i realized it was the man from the club. he had the same jacket.

i gasped and walked quicker. luckily, my apartment is close and we got there quickly.

we went up to my apartment. kaylee had already called her sister so she was one her way.

my heart was pumping and i felt uneasy. i wanted kaylee to stay but i knew she would freak out and call jacob.

i knew he would freak out even more.

i kept reminding myself that i was safe in my apartment. i was going to be fine.

kaya called kaylee to let her know she was pulling in and i walked her outside and hugged her.

i watched as she walked down to kaya and got in her car. as they drove off, i saw someone walking into the parking lot.

it was the man from the club.

it was dark but i could still see him from the bright street lights.

my heart stopped and my eyes widened.

i turned around and rushed back into my apartment. i quickly locked the door and leaned against it with shaky breaths.

i clutched my chest as i tried to calm down.

i pulled out my phone and thought about who ask to come over.

i didn't want to tell them there's a potential stalker outside but i needed someone here.

kaylee was too drunk and kaya wouldn't want to turn around just to 'hang out'.

jacob and vinnie would know something was wrong and freak out and chase the guy away.

with shaking hands i clicked on matt's contact and texted two simple words.
