"AS LONG AS WE LIVE — THIS IS GONNA BE ONE HELL OF A STORY," Sirius says with a laugh, with the others as they stand outside of Harry and Magnolia's room.

"We are gonna live, Sirius. And we're going to be happy and have a life with Harry and Magnolia — don't worry." Remus retorted, softly scowling at Sirius to reassure Mags and Harry.

"How do you use this thing anyway?" James asks, looking at the silver timer turner in wonder.

"Well, I used a typical time turner with my friend Hermione in our third year to save the Hippogriff's life — but that only allowed us to go back a few hours and this one is going into the future a few decades. So I'm only guessing just to do what we did when we got the time turner to end up here."

"Well, okay..." James mutters, his mood going down as it's now time for them to execute their further plans. He hands the time-turner to Magnolia, who takes it hesitantly.

"Don't look back, okay?" Remus reminds her, making her grow a small smile and nod. She and Harry turned around, about to enter the door, but she let out a forced laugh and turned back around.

"I promise I won't look back next time — but I have to say something to you and Sirius." Harry finds himself softly smiling at Maggie as Sirius and Remus glance at one another in question.

"What is it?" Sirius asks, making James and Peter widen their eyes in realization. Magnolia giggles softly and suckles in a breath.

"Sirius, Remus — it's okay." Harry couldn't help but snort behind her as she smirked teasingly at them.

"What...?" Remus mutters, eyeing her oddly as Sirius squints at her.

"Don't be idiots — I know there's feelings there—"

"W-What?" Sirius stutters as Remus's cheeks flush a deep red.

"I love you guys." She whispers before sending them a wink and softly smiling at the others.

"N-No, looking back around now," Remus instructs, his cheeks still a bright red as she lets out a small laugh but nods nonetheless.

"Granger and Taurus out," Harry mutters, interlocking his hand with Maggie as she chuckles and rests her head on his shoulder.

"WAIT! WAIT—"

"Bloody hell! This is getting more and more torturous the longer we're waiting!" James exclaims as they all turn around to see the intruder who interrupted Harry and Magnolia's send-off.

It was a messy-haired Regulus Black and out-of-breath, Lily Evans.

"Evans told me something wasn't right with you guys in class, so we rushed over here just in case—" He stopped to see all their faces and realized what he was thinking — was happening.

"Oh," Lily whispers, brushing her red hair out of her face. She quickly calmed down and rushed to give Harry and Maggie a hug.

"Oh, I wish we could have talked more," Lily murmurs into their hair before pulling away and holding both their faces.

"At least it won't be like you guys will disappear. We'll see you guys again." She reassures, clasping her hands together with a bright smile.

"Hell, I still can't believe the resemblance between you and James." She says, making Harry crack a chuckle.

"He does have your nose, Evans." James examines with a triumphant smirk, making Lily roll her eyes.

"Oh, don't forget the somewhat red tint in his dark brown hair!" Peter points out, making them laugh.

"And Magnolia — I can't believe how much of a perfect mixture you are of Evangeline and Remus! It's so clear that you're their child!"

"Really?" Maggie asks hopefully, making Lily quickly nod.

"She was just as beautiful as you are... And I'm a little surprised she got with Remus since I thought she was lesbian or something—" Magnolia and Harry's eyes widened as Lily whispered that last part with a chuckle.

"Actually?" Harry asks with raised eyebrows, making Lily snort and nod rapidly.

"Hell yeah, but don't worry... I can't wait to see you guys again."

She pulls away as Regulus silently walks up to the couple with a down look. Not much of a physically affectionate person, he lifts his arm for a handshake.

"It's been nice having you guys here. I've grown to like you guys." He tells them, making them smile as Harry shakes his hand firmly.

"And it was awesome meeting you. Hopefully, things will turn out good for you." Harry shares, making Regulus grin with a nod.

"And maybe I'll get the nickname — Uncle Reggie, huh?"

"Uncle Reggie, it is." They laugh before Regulus takes a step back with a comforting smile.

"Now... Hopefully, there are no interruptions." Remus says with a laugh before Magnolia and Harry take in shaky breaths, looking over all of them one last time.

They were all smiling at the couple, giving them reassuring smiles. It was clear they were doing it, so the last thing Magnolia and Harry weren't gonna be seeing everyone sobbing. It showed the two that they weren't gonna break that promise and promise that the future would be great for them... All they have to do is trust them since they'll never know if they achieve or not.

"Make sure to tell us all about this when we grow up," Harry instructs, making them laugh and nod.

"Promise." They all whispered before Harry and Magnolia turned towards the door, their hands interlocked.

"No turning back," Magnolia whispered to herself as Harry squeezed her hand.

Harry reached over and opened the door to their dorm, and those three steps into their room were the longest steps they'd ever taken. Harry wanted to turn around so badly before he shut the door behind them. But he looked at Magnolia, who was on the brink of tears again, and he decided against it.

And that was it — he closed the door without looking back.

He stepped in front of Magnolia, who held the time turner shakily in her hands. He placed her hands over hers, making her look back up at him with her glossy blue eyes.

"I love you." He whispers, kissing her knuckles before placing his hand on the back of her head and bringing her forward to kiss her forehead.

"I love you more." She whispers, placing her head on his chest as he tightly wraps his arms around her waist.

"I love you most—"

"I love you more than most." They both whisper at the same time, cracking smiles as they cuddle against each other closer. It was silent for a few seconds before Magnolia let out a whisper.

"I'm scared." He pulls away from her and looks down at her, hooking his finger under her chin to make her look at him.

"Soulmates, remember?" He whispers, making her force a smile before stepping on her tippy toes to press her lips on his.

They couldn't help but break at the feeling of their lips touching. It felt like a goodbye kiss — and they hated it. Magnolia tried fixing it by placing her hand on the back of his neck to pull him closer, but it only made their hearts shatter against each other. That lump in her throat came back up as she dragged her lips down and pressed one last kiss on his jaw.

"We'll see each other again, right?" That simple question made him finally break this time today, and thick tears pooled in his eyes.

He had to say goodbye to the amazing father and mother he never had a life with. He had to say goodbye to the man he loved that was his godfather that left him at the most hopeless time but that, of course, wasn't his fault. He had to say goodbye to the man that was the father of his fiancé and the man he should have grown up to be called Uncle Moony but didn't. And all day with all of those goodbyes — he didn't break once, only a few tears falling throughout the days, no sobs.

He never broke.

Not until this very moment.

Harry was losing his one true love.

His first love.

His best friend —

His soulmate.

Harry looked away from her, rubbing his eyes with his fingers as tears flowed down his smooth cheeks. He bared his teeth, clenching his jaw as his real emotions poured out of his heart.

She didn't cry as hard as him, though — composing herself as hard as she could so she didn't make his feelings worse by sobbing uncontrollably too. They weren't much of criers, but they were always there for one another when the other needed a good cry and this day proved it. But as he said nothing to answer her question, she cradled his face before he tucked it into her neck.

"I'm glad I got to live this life with you, I wouldn't have wished it was with anybody else." She whispered, pressing her lips together to force a smile as he tears his eyes back at her.

"Me too." He whispers, sniffling before they both look down between them to look at the time turner in her hands.

"I love you, love you." She whispers as Harry takes the time-turner to turn in his hands and holds it up.

"I love you, love you too—" And like the very beginning, the time turner begins to burn in his hands, and he lightly drops it on the ground.

He quickly pulls her in — not into a kiss or anything intimate. Just in a tight, warm hug as she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck. His hands wrapped around her tightly, going up with his hands curling into her hair to pull her more impossibly closer. They were overcome with emotion as the other person's tears fell softly on their shoulders, making them never want to let go. They clutched onto each other and solely focused on one another's few last breaths.

The time turner hit the ground and spun incredibly fast until it shattered on the wooden floor — and the familiar bright blinding light appeared in their visions...

And every last memory raced through Harry and Magnolia's minds. Their first meeting on the train in their third year, to him stuttering out his name while she grinned — finding him utterly adorable. Harry has been completely infatuated with her ever since he had laid eyes on her. He had moments that completely wooed her or was a complete fool in front of her. Their first kiss after the Winter Ball and saving her in the tournament. Harry finally asks her out, and then Sirius and Remus find out about them — to him finally proposing on the day he 'dies'. They had to face a war that made them lose almost every single person they loved. There were the last moments of watching Teddy Lupin under their care and them getting up on the day of their wedding. And traveling back in time to the year 1977. And meeting the younger versions of the marauders. Never getting that wedding, they were planning to go to that very morning before they were thrown back in time.

It all went through their heads — like it all played in just seven seconds... Until it was nothing.

Their last thoughts were together and with each other — and realizing how they are now...

They'll never be those kids again.
