𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐓𝐘 𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄 -

"AHHHH!" Magnolia screeched, not daring to open her eyes as all she heard was her falling through the wind.

At this point - she's expected death. Hopefully, Regulus and Harry's plan does succeed and they live but she still accepts her fate. She felt her hair and arms swing everywhere, so happy she was wearing shorts under her flying skirt, revealing them.

But suddenly the loud falling and crazy wind stopped, but that didn't stop her from opening up her eyes. But hearing loud laughter and a pair of arms around her - she stopped shouting.

"Merlin, that was awesome!" She heard Regulus shout, making her snap her eyes open.

"What the bloody hell?!" She shouts, looking up to see Sirius Black holding her bridal style with his arms under her legs and her shoulders. She looks at him with wide eyes before sitting up frantically -

"We're on a Hippogriff!" She shouts excitedly, hitting Sirius's chest as she looks down at the ground in astonishment while clutching his shirt.

"I know, it's awesome!"

"I wanted to ride it - but Sirius called dibs" James mutters from beside them on his quidditch broom, making her laugh as she sees Regulus on a broom.

"Harry? Harry - where are you?" She asked quickly, making the boys let out a small giggle.

"Down here!" She furrowed her eyebrows before looking down at the Hippogriff holding Harry with its paws and claws. She lets out a loud laugh as he sends her a wink before James comes and tosses him a broom.

"You better be careful with that - I've only got one!" Sirius scowled at Harry as the Hippogriff dropped him and he landed easily on the flying broom.

"Pfft I was a Seeker for the Gryffindor team with a Firebolt broomstick!"

"Where'd you get a Firebolt?" Regulus asks with a raised eyebrow and sly grin. Sirius keeps his hold around Magnolia so she won't fall but so she can turn to face forward.

"Sirius got it for me in my third year."

"Well, of course, I have the best taste out of the rest of these blokes" Sirius states, making Regulus and James roll their eyes.

Magnolia wasn't paying attention since her full attention was on the scenery below. She's never been so high before, but sure - Harry has let her ride his broomstick but she didn't go far other than flying in circles and pretending to know how to dodge a Bulger. But this... This was beautiful.

She felt like she was on top of the world.

"This is beautiful..." She whispers, catching their attention as they round the castle.

"Awesome prank guys - never thought you guys were gonna pull that off." James musters as Harry mocks him with a smirk.

"We're almost there guys" Sirius whispers, sending a loud whistle through the sky. Magnolia looked out to see the moon barely peaking and almost fully down.

"The full moon is almost gone - we gotta hurry-"

"AH!" Magnolia screeched, seeing a rat suddenly appear on the Hippogriff's head.

"Oi mates! That's our signal" She looked at the boys as they smirked and the rat gave her... A smile?

"Oh hi Peter" She greets with a chuckle before it climbs up to sit on her shoulder. Even though it grossed her out to feel a rat get on her - she tried not to pry.

"Ready Wormtail?" James shouts, suddenly flying below them and Harry and Regulus fly on either side of Mags and Sirius. Wormtail squeaks in response, making Magnolia eye the boys again.

"What's happening?" She asks, feeling Sirius begin to become loose around the Hippogriff and Mags.

"Ready, love?" Harry asks teasingly, making her raise her eyebrows - once again, utterly confused.

"Can someone please explain what's going on?!"

"Hang on, Peter!" Regulus shouts, suddenly zipping and Sirius's started to put pressure on Magnolia's back.

"Guys -"

"Bye-bye, Mini Lupin!" Sirius shouts as suddenly the Hippogriff flips upside down - and due to Magnolia having no grip on anything, she falls.

"SIRIUS!" She exclaims, falling as she sees Sirius fall only slightly before catching another broomstick from Regulus and easily flying on that.

Once again, her hair and limbs flailed everywhere as she screamed her head off. But this time her eyes were open and she found herself about to fall in a tree clearing. But there was a small rocky shallow river with a large log across it - just waiting to kill her.

"Fucking hell!" She screeches, feeling and hearing Peter in his rat form clutching on her shoulder screaming too.

This time - she was gonna die but not alone. But she was hesitant about the person being Peter Pettigrew - the man that was never in her childhood, betrayer of his best friends and suddenly disappeared off the face of the earth. The guy she has no memory of after those events... The guilty man and a liar from her time - the memory of him slowly leaving her mind and turning into just a name in her mind.

But suddenly she was caught again. But it wasn't a human catching her - she felt fur on her skin as she clutched onto it tightly with her hands. Hearing the rat squeak of accomplishments and leave her shoulder, she opens her eyes.

Her eyes widened to see herself riding a massive dark brown furred wolf, her legs straddling his back and her arms barely wrapped around his neck. It was Remus - it was obvious, this was a werewolf, normal wolves in general aren't taller than humans on their four legs. Magnolia smiled as Moony ran through the forest, dodging and jumping through the Forbidden Forest, making Magnolia let out laughs of glee.

Wormtail sat on Moony's head as Maggie had her arms spread out to feel the calm fast wind fly through her hair. Moony sent them a warning growl that they were gonna come to a halt soon. Magnolia leaned forward and clutched onto his fur as softly as she could so she wouldn't hurt him. While Wormtail quickly scrambled back on Maggie, clutching onto her shirt.

"Woah..." She whispers, coming up to the Shrieking Shack. They get in quietly and quickly before Moony knelt forward, letting Magnolia with Peter, slide off with ease.

"Hey, Dad." She whispered, taking a step back with Peter on her shoulder as the large wolf faced her. Wormtail looked at him with wide eyes, so delighted that his best friend was controlling his usual bloodthirsty werewolf mind - it was just Remus.

Magnolia looked out the window to see the full moon disappearing, making Remus nod his head with his soft big brown eyes. He turned and walked around the corner to transform back into a human. Wormtail squeaked by her ear, making Maggie slightly jump and chuckle. She hesitantly lifts her hand and he crawls on it before she sets him on the floor to quickly scurry to a place to transform back into a human.

"Do you mind handing me those pants?" Human Remus asks, popping his head out of the corner - nude by the way he's uncomfortably hiding himself behind the wall.

"Oh yeah sure" She mutters surprised, not even hearing a hint of pain in his voice since he just transformed. She quickly grabs the sweater and sweats on the chair and hands them to Remus as he quickly changes into them.

"This is awesome!" Peter exclaims, coming from a walk-in closet - no longer a rat and dressed in pajama pants and a t-shirt.

"I know! I barely feel the usual heart-wrenching pain I usually feel every time I transform!" Remus says excitedly, coming from around the corner fully dressed.

"That's awesome!" The shorter boy exclaimed, jumping in the air happily as he crashed into a hug with the brown-haired boy.

Magnolia placed her hand on her cheek with a bright smile across her face as she watched the interaction. She wishes she could stay with them - when they're still young and healthy and loved by one another.

But she knew she couldn't. All she had to hope for was that the future was good for all of them... Including her and Harry.

"Thank you so much, Maggie - you have no idea how this feels" Remus expresses, pulling away from Peter.

"I'll make sure to give the recipe and ingredients before I leave" She reassures, before being pulled into a firm hug by both Peter and Remus.

"Oh okay," She whispers with a laugh, not being able to move her arms as Peter and Remus wrap themselves around her.

But without hugging back, her pinky wrapped around Peters and she rested her head on Remus's. They gave her a tight squeeze before letting her go - with Remus having small tears in his eyes.

"Aw, Remus!" Peter coos, puckering his lips as Remus scoffs, quickly wiping his eyes.

"You deserve it, Dad," Maggie whispered, stepping on her tippy toes to kiss his forehead.

"Thank you." He whispered before Peter exclaimed suddenly.

"Are we not gonna talk about the fact that Magnolia jumped OFF the Astronomy Tower!"

"Oh right! I didn't think you'd actually do it!" Remus laughed at Magnolia's scoffed expression.

"Please, it wasn't peer pressure at all."

"I told the boys there was a stupid prank - making you jump and then getting caught and then falling again closer to the ground-"

"TO THEN BE CAUGHT BY A WOLF!" Sirius shouts, coming around the corner in the Shrieking Shack with Harry, James, and Regulus beside him.

"I can't believe you four! There were several moments I could have died!" Magnolia scowls as they smirk, while she crosses her arms over her chest.

"Oh please, we all had cast several protection spells on you - that was why we all had our wands."

"I'm never gonna forgive you for letting me fall off that Hippogriff." She huffed as they giggled like a bunch of twelve-year-old boys.

"That was brilliant - that was all Harry's idea!" James remarked as Magnolia's lips parted, darting her eyes at her fiance. He gives her a shit-eating grin before stepping forward, wrapping his arms around her.

"You loved it, love."

"No, you don't deserve it - get off of me!" She laughed, trying to shove him away as he tried kissing her.

"Yeah, he planned that whole part - jumping off the Astronomy Tower and then letting you fall again after catching you-" She quickly hit Harry in the chest as he bubbled in laughter with his lips against her cheek.

"But it was Remus's idea to catch for the second fall though - Harry had the stupid idea that James would catch her while he's in his stag form-"

"Yes, very stupid and dangerous" Magnolia agrees, quickly yelping as Harry pinches her arm.

"And the Hippogriff was Sirius's idea since he just really wanted to ride it."

"Oh yeah, how'd that go?" Magnolia asks, making her smirk as Sirius triumphantly grins.

"Once Hagrid quickly left after hearing all the dramatic shouts from the bubbly mess in the castle - All I had to do was throw it, a carrot and I got on it and it was like riding a broomstick -"

"Yeah fucking right, it threw you off like fifteen times before actually flying with you on" James retorts, making the others stifle a laugh - playfully shoving one another.

"Oh, you should have seen Maggie's face when she realized we were gonna jump off the tower!" Regulus says with a laugh as Maggie's face flushes, rolling her eyes.

"It was adorable," Harry whispers, kissing Maggie's nose - taking her out of her thoughts and laughing softly before looking back at everyone. She watched the interactions and real bright smiles across everyone's face - on the next morning of a full moon and in a terrifying setting, the Shrieking Shack. The bright sunrise cascades the light somehow through the walls, making things seem brighter. They were happy... And it most definitely showed. Not just by their faces and physical interaction, but because of the feeling in the air. It didn't even feel surreal. It felt natural and real.

She looked up at Harry, smiling almost shyly at him as he laughed with the others with his arm around her waist. Magnolia's blue eyes traveled to his bright smile to the others and rested her head on his chest.

She felt... She felt like this was truly what the marauders era was supposed to be like.

Bright and happy.
