𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐈𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍 -

WHEN REMUS FINALLY REALIZED HE WAS A FATHER.

He didn't realize how hard it could be. It was hard - sudden - and very difficult... It became one of the reasons why he stayed so much at the Potters' house, alongside Sirius. Lily gave the single dad a lot of pointers when James took care of Harry. Or when she'd help him out by changing Maggie's diaper - he'd be behind her, watching how she did it, while plugging his nose in disgust at the smell.

It was most chaotic when James and Sirius had to take care of the kids by themselves... It was only on occasion, it'd be when Lily was secretly visiting her parents and Remus was out shopping or working at the small library.

"Do you think Moony would get mad if I turned Maggie into a baby lion?" Sirius asks, cradling the little Maggie in his arms as he boops her nose.

"Probably" James snorts, holding baby Harry on his hip as he tries feeding him yogurt bites.

"Come on, eat, You stubborn child!" James groans, giving up as he sets Harry beside Maggie as Sirius lies on his side on the floor beside the babies.

"You should have named Harry, Bambi - It would have been hilarious"

"And Rem should have named Maggie, Akela - or maybe even little Red Riding Hood" Sirius giggled, kissing the girl's nose as she erupted into giggles.

"Ma-gas!" Harry says, making them all freeze as Harry faces Maggie, outstretching his chubby arms to her.

"Mags!" He shouts excitedly, cupping the other baby's face and kissing her nose - Just like how he saw his godfather do it to her.

"James..." Sirius whispers, sitting up slowly as he looks at the babies in pure shock.

"Hair-ee!" Maggie exclaims to Harry, making Sirius and James both stand up and gasp loudly.

"They both-"

"Oh my god, call Remus and Lily," James whispers, making Sirius run to get to the wall phone as he lets out a loud cheery scream.

"OH MY GOD!"

"THEY JUST SAID THERE FIRST WORD TOGETHER!" James screams, happy tears falling from his cheeks as he scoops up the two babies in his arms.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!" Sirius screams, jumping up and down with James and finally Remus picks up the phone.

"R-Remus?" Sirius asks, making him respond with a What?

"Um - Y-You need..." Sirius was too excited to say complete sentences as his heart pounded and practically tangled himself in the phone cord.

"Need what? Padfoot, is everything okay?"

"THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" James shouts, putting Harry and Maggie on the couch as he dances happily around the living room, making them clap and giggle along with him.

"M-Maggie, she-"

"Fucking hell, Sirius - What happened? What's going on - Why do I hear someone screaming?"

"It's just James-"

"Why is he screaming?! Did something happen to Mags or Har?" Remus, not being able to see Sirius shake his head silently at his question and the worried werewolf curses again.

"I'm coming home." He says as Sirius whispers a small okay after Remus hangs up, and begins celebrating back with James.

"Their first words were each other - Imagine their last words are one another!" Sirius exclaims, grabbing James's shoulders as he gives his best mate a deadpan expression.

"Seriously? You had to bring death into this situation?"

"Sorry," Sirius mutters as suddenly Remus appears with green flames in the fireplace.

"Ah!" Maggie shouts out excitedly, seeing her dad as he looks at her urgently.

"What happened?!" He asks worriedly, quickly picking Maggie up in his arms and looking at every part of her, almost flipping her upside down.

"She said her-"

"Mags!" For a quick second, Remus dropped Maggie but due to fast reflexes - He quickly wrapped his arms around her small torso with his forearm.

"Did he just say Mags?" He asks, flicking his eyes between his two best mates and little Harry.

"He just said Mags!" Sirius exclaims, a smile spread across his face. Maggie hangs over Remus's forearm, blowing spit bubbles.

"Maggie is his first word..." Moony mutters as James starts jumping up and down.

"Oh, there meant to be!" Sirius sang.

"So nothing's wrong?" Remus asks, holding Maggie on his shoulder, with his arm still wrapped around her waist as she giggles out a loud laugh, looking up at the ceiling. He grew a smile as he held his daughter over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"HARRY!" She exclaims, making Remus freeze once again before holding Maggie out in front of him. He held her by her armpits as she clapped and he let out a shaky smile.

"She said Harry" He whispers, biting on his bottom lip from tears falling. Sirius and James glance at one another before Prongs jumps over the couch, and they both scurry beside their werewolf friend.

"Is Moony crying?" Sirius whispers to James as they look at Remus confused.

"Moony's crying-"

"The last time I saw him cry was when Maggie started crawling awhile ago-" Sirius mutters as Remus begins to cry, ignoring James and Sirius's bickering as he holds Maggie close to him.

"And before that, it was the sixth year when the candy store in Hogsmeade had no chocolate for a month"

"Maggie said her first word!" Remus sobs, holding the confused baby Maggie to his chest as he sits on the couch.

Lily enters the house, takes off her coat, and walks into the living room before growing confused. She eyes the scene - Harry is sitting on the floor saying incoherent things as James and Sirius bicker with each other, staring at the crying Remus with Maggie in his arms.

"What's going on?" She asks, making her husband - James, and her husband's other wife - Sirius, look at her.

"Maggie and Harry said their first words" She breaks out into a smile and picks up Harry.

"Aw, Harry!"

"Mags!" She gasped as her baby yelled out the word, making Lily look at James as he grinned.

"I know, and Maggie's first word was Harry"

"And now Remus is crying" Sirius retorts, making Lily let out a laugh as Maggie messily wipes Remus's tears away with her little hands.

"Remus-" But before her full sentence could be said, Remus exclaims.

"I love you so much!"

"MINI MOONY!" Sirius exclaims from behind their dorm door.

"You can't be saying that stuff!" Remus scowls at him, making him roll his eyes and continue knocking on Harry and Maggie's room.

"Prongs. Moony - Wake up your children."

"Why are we doing this again?" Peter asks, leaning against the wall tiredly.

"I have a few more questions" Sirius mutters, making Remus and James groan.

"You know they can't tell us much-"

"Yeah I know-" Sirius groaned, hitting his head on the door, growing impatient.

"You don't think I have a million questions? I don't know how to react when I know Lily is my future wife and mother to my child! I feel like I can't even talk to her without turning into jelly!" James exclaims, making Remus nod.

"But-"

"What are you guys doing here?" Harry groaned, opening the door, clearly having a bad hangover. Remus chuckled as Sirius smirked, leaning against the doorway.

"Well hello, Harry" Harry furrows his eyebrows, squinting his eyes before taking a step back, letting them enter the room.

"Why are you guys here so early?"

"Pfft, it's literally noon" James retorts, making him groan walking into his bathroom, shirtless and wearing only boxers.

"Mini Moony~" Sirius whispered, lying on the bed beside the sleeping Magnolia. She furrowed her eyebrows, smooshing her face more into the pillow under her head at the sound of someone trying to disrupt her sleep.

"Leave me alone" She groans, pushing his face away and making him chuckle.

"Does Mini Prongs know about everything?" He asks, whispering into her ear as she merely just groans in response.

"No, we just woke up because of your bloody loud mouth" He pats her cheek before sitting up on the headboard.

"Harry." Sirius declares, while Harry just puts on some pants and takes his glasses off so he can put on his shirt.

"Hm?" He hums tiredly, leaning against the doorway of the bathroom.

"You're my godson" Harry looks at Sirius confused before his eyes widen in realization - and now he's no longer tired.

"Ow!" Sirius exclaims as Maggie slaps his chest.

"Is that really how you're gonna tell him?" Maggie questions, sitting up on the headboard beside the pouting Sirius as Harry runs up to Maggie.

"Do they know?" He asks her, as she squints at him with a small nod. Maggie has never had the best eyesight since the incident of the Battle of Hogwarts. Harry looks at her bedside table and grabs her thin gold-rim glasses, putting them on her. She usually wears contacts.

"They know." She whispers, giving him an apologetic smile as he cups her cheeks, brushing her short blonde hair out of her face.

"Okay..." He mutters, looking at them all suspiciously as Remus snickers.

"How'd they find out?" That's when the marauders burst out into laughter.

"You told them, you bloody twat" Maggie told him with a small laugh and he looked at her confused.

"How? What - Oh god... I'm so sorry" He says slowly, the whole night before rushing back to his hungover mind.

"It's okay... They were bound to find out anyway..." She says a little frustratedly.

Harry didn't feel any different from before though, he didn't feel awkward now that they all knew about their relations with Maggie and himself. In the beginning, they prayed they'd be in and out of this year - and not have to face their parents.

But look at them now - They found out a little after only a week about Maggie Lupin and Harry Potter.

James was ecstatic to find out his best mate is his son's godfather and he's married to the woman he's been in love with since his second year!

Sirius was just happy that he was part of their lives in such a great way.

Remus was just admiring the fact that he has a daughter in the future. And she's oddly engaged to his best mate's son.

But what made him wonder was... Why did they never tell them anything about what happened to Peter in the future?

And why did Harry clearly have a glare on his face when staring at Wormtail?

"I'd rather not talk about this right now, because Harry, and I need to go find Dumbledore and talk to him," Maggie says, stretching her arms out and getting off the bed, digging into her drawers.

"Why do you need to talk to Dumbledore on a weekend?"

"It's probably so they go back to their time," James remarks as Sirius sticks his tongue at him, making Remus roll his eyes at their childishness.

"Can we come?" Peter asks, making Harry send him a quick glare as Maggie quickly snaps her fingers in his face.

' He's still good ' She mouths to him, making Harry roll his eyes and get up to get a shirt.

"No, we need to speak to him about something else" They all looked at her curiously, with furrowed eyebrows.

"And what's something else?"

"I don't think that's any of your business, James" She retorts, making the father of Harry pout.

"Yes it is - Now that you're part of my family-"

"Godrics James, just shut up please" Remus demands, making him throw his head back in a groan.

"Can we get a hint?" Sirius pleads, walking behind her as she gets out a pair of jeans and a sweater.

"No-"

"Hey, that's Moony's sweater" Sirius remarks, grabbing the brown striped knitted sweater out of her hands, making her groan in embarrassment. Moony furrows his eyebrows, walking up to them and looking down at his.

"Yes, it is..." James came beside them, looking at the tag. The tag had the small initials 'R.L.' with a black marker.

"Yes it's his, I liked stealing his sweaters when I was younger" She mutters, snatching back the sweater and going into the bathroom to change.

"Aw, how cute - Your darling angel daughter steals your clothes-" Sirius teases before Maggie peaks her head out from the bathroom.

"Sirius, I've literally stolen several of your clothes," She says as a matter of fact, making him scoff.

"Like what?"

"Your black leather gloves - Leather jacket-" Sirius's eyes widened excitedly and rushed to her side of the bed. He saw her wear leather gloves before and saw things imprinted on the knuckles of the gloves. Way before he wasn't sure if what was written was actually what he saw-

"AHA! I wasn't going crazy!" He exclaims, pulling out the black leather gloves to see the word 'Padfoot' imprinted on the knuckles.

"This is too weird" Harry and James both said, immediately looking at each other with surprised looks. Sirius and Remus look at each other before bursting out into laughter.

"Okay, Harry - Let's go to Dumbledore!" Maggie exclaimed, stepping out of the bathroom wearing a pair of blue jeans and a brown sweater.

"You're literally drowning in that sweater" Remus laughs, making Maggie chuckle.

"That's what you said back then too. This was my favorite sweater when I was... 13, I would take this to Hogwarts and I'd wear it as a dress, putting a belt over it" She says happily, as Remus smiles at her.

Was it weird Remus wanted to cry? Not just because she was wearing his sweater - But because of everything?

He wanted to cry when he found out Maggie was his daughter.

He wanted to cry when he found out James's son and his daughter were engaged and going to be married.

He wanted to cry when he called her dad...

He just needs a good cry - He's not sad or anything.

And he's not a person to really cry much. Really the last time he cried was a month ago because his favorite candy store in Hogsmeade didn't have any more chocolate until recently. But he's just high above sad. He's incredibly happy as a matter of fact. So happy, he couldn't even hide the growing grin anymore.

He has a daughter... Her name is Magnolia Lupin.

Remus covered his mouth, letting out an airy laugh as Harry came beside Maggie.

"Wanna get hot chocolate first?" He asks her, immediately making her smile and her eyes brighten.

"I'm always up for some chocolate"

i wanted a few chapters cute before it starts all going downhill... so... be prepared lol this was sort of a filler chapter but hope you enjoyed it!

as much as i love fluff i do love some good angst...
