"CAN I HAVE A QUILL?"
"No."
"Please?"
"You'll lose it."
"I promise to keep it safe for the rest of my life" Harry pleaded as Maggie stared at him with an annoyed look, before handing him a quill. They sat next to each other in their first class and it was horrific. Ever since breakfast, the marauders would try to talk to them the whole time. It was mostly Magnolia they were trying to interact with but that was only because they spoke with her first, out of the two.
Harry was surely gonna have a taste of getting clung on soon.
Then, having them in every class with them was frustrating. They wanted to keep a low profile but somehow being in Gryffindor, that wasn't gonna happen.
In class, they sat in the very back as Sirius and James sat at the table in front of them with Remus and Lily sitting a row ahead of them. Peter is forced to sit in the front by the professor - due to his getting in trouble for talking in class yesterday.
That's why Harry was the one who practically dragged Maggie to the very back. He did not want to sit anywhere near that rat.
He knew this was before his mind was corrupted by Voldy Moldy... But it wasn't far from happening and Harry obviously hadn't forgotten that he was the whole reason for the second wizarding war, and losing too many loved ones.
And the fact they're forced to sit there and watch him laugh and talk with Sirius, James, Lily, and Remus like nothing's wrong - sickened them.
"Thank you!" Harry whispers, thanking her and pressing a kiss on her temple. Since they knew everything being talked about in class, and didn't have to worry about classes, they doodled in her notebook or played small paper games together, like - hangman or tic tac toe.
"Mrs. Taurus - tell me... What are the symptoms of how a werewolf feels or acts before or after a full moon?" All eyes turned to her, including the marauders.
It was a trick question. It was because no students knew because none had exactly learned anything about werewolves yet... Except the marauders of course... For non-school reasons.
Overall - the professor noticed them not paying attention and wanted to "embarrass" them in front of the class, as a form of punishment for doing something else other than paying attention to their teachings.
"Their senses are more heightened than normal, nausea and quick tempers and that's just a few of the symptoms," She says, shrinking in her spot as everyone looks at her surprised - especially the marauders.
"Very good, Mrs Taurus. I see you're already ahead of the whole class" The professor remarked, a hint of blush in embarrassment since she was trying to embarrass the student and not themself. Not noticing the teacher's actions, Harry and Maggie glanced at one another nervously. The couple decided to avoid the marauder's eyes as they felt their hot gaze on her.
"Of course I get asked the werewolf question" Maggie mutters, making Harry chuckle but she says it loud enough for the boys in front of the couple to hear.
James and Sirius looked at one another with wide eyes before Remus glanced at them with furrowed eyebrows. They nodded at him and he nodded back, hearing too - from his heightened senses.

When the couple were packing their bags since the class had ended, they continued talking to one another about the magical aspects of unicorns.
"I don't think their horns produce magic, Har" He scoffs before picking up her bag with his own.
"This is the wizarding world! Their horns are practically wands!" She sighs, smiling at him as she shakes her head. They both begin to walk out, stopping abruptly as James and Sirius appear in front of them.
"Good... Morning?" Harry says as he looks at the younger version of his father and godfather, and the two best friends look at him and his fiancรฉe.
"We have questions..." James remarks, trying to size himself up to Harry. Though they were almost the same size and same exact height. It still weirded the couple out, since they were currently older than their parents, by almost two years currently.
"And we don't have time" Maggie quickly says, grabbing Harry's wrist and pulling him away, trying to get out of there as soon as possible.
"I think you have plenty of time" Sirius remarks, quickly walking beside her.
"Nope-"
"Fine. Then we will just chat you up till we get to our next class together-"
"So Harry, do you have grandparents with the names of Imogen and Henry?" Those were Harry's great grandparents names.
"Nope," Harry says with a nervous chuckle as James eyes him suspiciously. It kind of weirded Maggie out that Harry never had the slightest unnerving emotion when seeing his parents after never getting to meet them.
But it was truly because he was so young when they died... So seeing them doesn't cause a bunch of wheels to turn in his head rapidly, like Maggie was for Remus, seeing him again.
But Harry couldn't look at Sirius and Remus in the eyes. He doesn't show it but it crushed his soul to hear their voices again. So he merely ignores their gaze and them as best he can till he's ready to give them a full glance.
Also, it was hilarious to watch Sirius flirt hardcore with Magnolia and see her freak out - not knowing the girl he's flirting with is engaged to his godson and the girl who called him Uncle Padfoot for a few years before he passed away.
"So Mags... There's a quidditch game tonight, Gryffindor versus Ravenclaws... You should go and cheer for me" Beside her, Harry was trying really hard not to laugh, catching James's attention.
James glances at Maggie and then Sirius, seeing her face turn red in embarrassment and annoyance as Sirius held a cocky grin.
"Godric Pads, how obvious can you be?" Sirius only gives his best mate a smirk and returns to looking at Mags.
"We're skipping," Maggie demands, making the boys look at her with odd looks.
"Skipping?" Harry asks as she grasps his hand, and interlocks their fingers, giving Sirius a small smile before lifting their intertwined hands up.
"We're going to skip. Together... Bye now" Before anything more was said, the couple headed in the other direction, to the Gryffindor common room. James and Sirius watch as they leave, eyeing their intertwined hands in confusion.
"Are they together?" James asks, quite confused as Sirius stares intently before slowly shaking his head.
"I'm gonna say no because... Friends hold hands too, right?" Sirius asks as James shrugs before holding his hand out.
Sirius looks down at his hand before looking back at James and finally interlocking their fingers together. They walk a bit before Sirius groans in disgust.
"Why the fuck are your hands so sweaty?!"
"Oh fuck off! That's your hands!"
"No, it's not! I don't have clammy hands!"
"Yes, you do!"
~~~
They arrived in their second class and Peter and Remus were awaiting for their arrival. Seeing them, Remus shoots up in his seat before looking at them and hearing their loud voices.
"Is she?"
"We don't know, she left very quickly before we got to ask her questions," James says as Sirius nods, and they lean against the table that Remus and Peter were sitting at.
"I asked Magnolia if she wanted to go and cheer for me at the game tonight and she suddenly said, she and Harry are skipping class together and then left to the common rooms... Weird huh?" Sirius exclaims as Remus rolls his eyes.
"They're probably skipping class to go shag," Peter remarks, making Remus nod and the others look at them weirdly.
"They're together?" James asks, making Remus slowly nod at them with raised eyebrows, a slow grin forming on his lips as he looks at them with a "Are you kidding me?" look.
"Of course, did you not see them holding hands most of the time they've been here in Hogwarts... And the fact, they never leave each other's side" Remus emphasizes, watching as James slowly nods in thought and Sirius just furrows his eyebrows.
"Nah, I don't think so..."
~~~
"Do you think... While we're here - we could try to help and change the future?" Magnolia asks Harry, lying flat on their bed.
Harry was standing with only pants on and no shirt, looking through his drawers. He begins the think... They had no idea how long Dumbledore would take to find a way to get them home. So the time they are in 1977 now...
They should at least try, right?
But Harry was afraid of possibly facing Voldemort again. He's alive here and he's too afraid of what would happen if he suddenly had to approach him again. And what if their future changed for them, and they lost the second wizarding war?
"I..." His voice trailed off as she sat up, looking at him worriedly.
"I know it's a risk and I know I kind of told Minnie off that we shouldn't be the ones pushed into these things but... I can't sit here and watch everything unfold, knowing what's to come for all of them." Harry nods, looking up at her. He stalked up to her, and stood in front of her, looking down.
"You really want to?" He mutters, making her nod innocently with hope in her eyes.
"It could be one little change and the whole future could change for the better and everyone we knew that died... Could come back to us"
"Or the worst can happen..." Harry mutters as her eyes soften. She stands up, grabbing his hands delicately in hers.
Harry usually would be on board 100% for helping out everyone else, if that means everyone is safe and was pretty oblivious to all the bad things that could possibly happen to certain actions. But he's grown to realize that not everything will go the way he plans. He lost his godfather... Remus - and Fred. He's lost too many people to make any more mistakes.
And at this moment, he knew she was still in the Denial stage. She wants to believe there's still a way of getting them back...
It's only been a year since the war and winning against Voldemort and... the sorrow and trauma are still there, floating in their heads. On top of that, a fast forced wedding, taking care of Teddy as their own, and working at the same time.
And now they're stuck in a year before it all began.
And how Magnolia was thinking about it... She would hate herself, knowing she had the chance to bring them back but did nothing about it and waited to leave instead of stepping up.
Knowing she at least had a chance, would kill her if she just left and didn't bother to at least try.
They've been praying for a moment like this since they lost everyone and now they have the chance.
"I don't want to do this, if you don't want to" She whispers as they stare at one another closely, both eyes seeming teary.
Harry cups her cheek with one hand before slowly resting it on her neck. Softly their eyes hooded, and he pulled her in for a kiss.
It was soft... Delicate...
Reassuring.
She kissed back desperately as he pulled away and she leaned forward for just a little more. But looking into his eyes, that gave her an answer.
"You can't save the world without the chosen one"
"God, why did I say yes to marrying you?" She asks teasingly as he merely shrugs with a small grin.
"I think it was the big diamond ring" He teases, playing with the exact ring on her finger with a smirk. She only quirks an eyebrow at him before looking him up and down with a smirk of her own.
"Yeah, I guess it was pretty big." She stated before they both laughed and he grabbed her, spinning her around to face him. He cupped her face with his hands and pulled her in for a deep kiss, leaving her breathless.
