SILENCE. it resonated throughout the halls of asgard. for once, the young prince didn't have anything witty to say, or any snappy comeback. for once, he added to the silence. he couldn't believe what he was hearing from his father, who appeared to be less than bothered by the news he was sharing.

"y/n died last night in a frost giant raid. the raid's been handled, but y/n...y/n didn't make it," odin told loki, who's brow creased with sorrow. his eyes were brimmed crimson as tears stung his eyes. one of the only people to ever show him love, to ever give him a chance, was gone.
