HE WAS LEFT WITHOUT YOU. the way the snapped worked is that half of the universe vanished and the other half didn't, and peter was left without his other half.

he didn't know what to do. it'd been five years since he's held you, since he's seen you for that matter. he missed you, and he wasn't the only one who could tell that.

he was sitting in the avengers compound, his heart still heavy after five years. he started to accept you weren't coming back, that you were actually dead. that was until some of the others who blipped came through the door.

he couldn't believe his eyes: they were back. his heart leapt as his eyes searched the crowd, and when he didn't find you, it sunk again.

"peter?" it was your voice. it echoed through his head and he looked up to see you, and he stood up from his place. his breathing became heavier and his eyes swam with tears; you were actually standing in front of him.

he didn't speak as he ran to engulf you in his arms. his arms were wrapped so tightly around you that you thought you were going to explode. you hugged him back, holding on to him so you wouldn't be ripped away from him again.

"i thought i lost you," peter mumbled into your hair, giving you more of a squeeze.

"i'm back, and i'm never leaving again,"
