YOU'D AGREED TO TEST TIME TRAVEL, mainly because you didn't really have much of a choice in the matter. you'd gone, but you landed at a point of your life where you wished you hadn't returned. a place in your life that traumatized you to the darkest depths.

when you returned, you were terribly shaken up. your whole idea about time travel was modified and you didn't want to go again. you didn't want to step foot in the suit again. the second you returned, natasha was at your side, her hands on your shoulders and a comforting tone to her voice.

"hey hey hey, you ok?" she asked, her worrisome eyes scanning your face. you didn't answer at first, only stared blankly in front of you.

"i'm fine," you whispered. natasha knew better, she could see the signs of pain written on your face. she knew you weren't hurt physically, but maybe mentally. she helped you up and looked you in the eyes, softly smiling.

"come on, i'll make you some tea," she offered as she led you away from the platform.
