Nandini was still sitting there at the same place only where Manik had left her. She was recalling their old moments when Manik came there breaking her trance. He looked at her and Nandini was taken aback seeing him back. She didn't expect him to be back soon looking at the way he left.

Manik pulled her up holding her hand. Nandini had to stand with the jerk. He made her sit on the bed The he tied her hands and legs again. Nandini tried to protest but he was way stronger than her. He was about to go out without saying anything but stopped near the door don't know why.

He turned to look at Nandini. "I never wanted to hurt you, Nandini. But it's you who always make yourself land into trouble. Now what to do. I didn't want to tie you but you didn't leave any way for me. Stay like this only..." Saying this Manik left from there.

Nandini heard him and didn't say anything. She turned her head other side not wanting to show Manik her tears. She was crying sleeping on the bed. She is so damn hurt.

"What are you getting Manik hurting me so much? Why are you doing all this? I don't know for which mistake, you are punishing me. It's you who ended everything between us. It's you who left in your own will and now you are back by yourself to settle score with me. What's my fault in all this?" Nandini thought in mind.

At night Manik made her eat like that only. He didn't open her hand. Then he again went away leaving her alone in the dark room. After Manik left Nandini got fever due to crying for a long time. She also had a headache.

Manik was doing some office work but he was not able to concentrate on it. He had a feeling that Nandini is having some problem. She is okay. But he could not make his mind whether to go and check on her or not. Keeping all his thoughts aside, he came to her room at the middle of night only. To check on her. When he came to check, he found her sleeping in an uncomfortable position. He thought to make her sleep properly then he saw her shivering in cold. Her touched her arms and found her burning with fever.

Manik panicked seeing her shivering in fever. He immediately opened the rope and made her lie down properly. Then he brought some cold water and a piece of cloth. Whole night he kept changing the wet cloth on her forehead. He kept caressing her hairs just the way SHE used to like.

Nandini was not in her senses. Her fever rose very high. Manik slept when he found the temperature decreasing. He pulled her close to himself and Nandini also snuggled more into his warmth which was once her favourite place to hide from the whole world.

May be it is now as well. . . . .

Manik didn't notice when he also fell asleep.

Next morning, Nandini was the first one to get up. Her head was still paining. She held her head and realized that she was in Manik's arm. She got up with a jerk and pushed him. Manik also got up feeling the sudden jerk.

"Why did you touch me? I hate you." Nandini shouted holding her head.

Manik slept just a few hours ago and his sleep got disturbed. So, he became really angry. On top of that Nandini shouted. He couldn't bear that. He pulled Nandini with her arm making her fall on him.

"How dare you showing me so much attitude? I asked you numerous times don't make me angry. Can't you understand this simple thing?" Manik shouted on top of his voice gritting his teeth.

"Manik, leave me." Nandini was struggling in his grip.

"Wait. You didn't let me sleep whole night. Now also you disturbed my sleep. Don't you like to be in peace or you hate to see me in peace?" Manik again told angrily.

"Manik, let me go. Leave me. Who asked you to stay awake whole night?" Nandini said making a bad face.

"Wahh!!! I gave you warmth whole night. Now you forgot everything?" Manik said in a sarcastic tone.

"What!!!" Nandini was shocked to her core.

"What what??? Nothing. Now you have to be like this only. You have to keep on laying on me like this till I am sleeping. That's your punishment," Manik said shrugging his shoulders.

"Manik, please stop your this childishness. It's nonsense." Nandini was damn irritated with his this kind of wishes or in his language HER TASKS.

"Shut up. Don't speak a word more. I will sleep now. Don't make any fuss. Else the consequences won't be good. I don't think I need to remind that to you." Manik again got angry.

"You sleep. Who asked you not to? But first leave me. Then you sleep as much as you want to." Nandini was trying to free herself.

" Nope. You will be like this only till I am sleeping. By the way, you are talking too much. I know how to make you quiet. So, better you yourself do the honour. Or you want me to do that?" Manik tightened his grip around her pulling her more close to him.

"Till when I have to bear all this, Manik?" Nandini asked in an irritated tone.

"That's my wish now be quiet. I am sleeping." Manik told and closed his eyes immediately to sleep.

Without having other options, Nandini kept laying in that position only. She was not able to move also. Manik was holding her very tightly. If she moves, then his slumbet will break.

When Manik left Nandini it was almost noon. Nandini is really irritated with this kind of behaviour. She thought she can't take all this anymore. She can't deny the fact she had some feelings for him now also. Now she felt like she has started hating him.

Nandini was not able to control her anger. She was not able to understand what she should do. Her brain was not working. She went to kitchen and brought a sharp knife. Without thinking twice, she cut her wrist. Blood started coming out continuously.

That time Manik was not home. He had gone out for some work. First she had fever from before then she cut her wrist. Due to that she became unconscious.

Manik came back after sometime and found Nandini on the floor. Her wrist with a deep cut and the floor was red with her blood. Seeing her condition, Manik felt like his world has crushed. He was not able to think straight. He picked her up in bridal style and ran towards the car with her. He drove as fast as he could and admitted her to the closest hospital.

Doctor was checking Nandini. Manik was restless. He was not able to sit on one place. He pacing to and fro. After sometime doctor came out.

"Doctor, is Nandini okay? She will be fine, right?" Manik ran to the doctor as soon as he saw him coming out. He was restless and felt his breath was stopping.

Doctor nodded his head. "She has lost a lot of blood and she is really weak. I think she is not having her meals properly that's why she is still unconscious but now she is out of danger."

Manik sighed in relief. "When can I take her home?"

"We will check her once she gains back her consciousness. Then if everything is fine, you can take her home."

"Thank you so much doctor."

The doctor left patting his back and Manik let out a breath rubbing his palms on his face.

Nandini got discharged from the hospital next day. Manik again took her to his farmhouse. But nobody told a single word to each other the entire way. Manik had died thousand deaths seeing Nandini in that condition with the bloods ozling out of her wrist. All the time he was sitting beside her only. He didn't leave her side for a moment.

Nandini was in their room taking rest. Manik came to the room with Nandini's dinner. He sat beside her and kept the plate on the nearby table.

"Eat, Nandini."

"I am not hungry." Nandini said turning her face to other side.

"You have to take medicine also. Have dinner." Manik said keeping the plate in front of her.

"I don't want to eat. Take away all this." Nandini said pushing the plate away.

"Nandini, don't act stubborn. You are very weak. If you won't eat, then it will cause problem again." He tried to make her understand calmly.

Nandini threw away the plate from Manik's hand.
