Manik called Nandini. They talked, to be more precise they argued for a little but Nandini cut the call angrily.

Nandini's pov
Ughhh!!! Why, God? Why? Among all the people on the earth, you found only me to hang with this monster? You could have done better for me. After all, I am your favorite child. Right?

You are seeing what he doing to me, how he has been treating me. Is this a way to behave with someone? I don't even know why he is doing this and he is saying I know it all and I am behind our break up. How is this true?

I am hating Manik now. I don't even want to see his face. I don't want to spend even a moment with him. I don't know what's again cooking in his mind. When he has told that he won't leave me easily, then he will anyhow come back in my life for his so called revenge. I am scared thinking about his next step. I just hope he won't drag Nisha or anyone else from my family in this.

Time flies so fast, right?

In a blink, things changes so much.

There was a time when I used to behave like a lovesick puppy for the same person. Those days  when I used to spend sleepless night thinking about him. I used to wait for his single glance. His one look was enough to melt me. Manik and his words which were more than enough for me. I wanted to spend all my life with him. I used to dream of  our forever.

And now I can't even tolerate him. I am finding ways to run away from me so that I don't need to see him again. I am hating his presence in my life. The mere thought of facing him shakes him.

Two more days passed but Nandini's condition didn't improve.

She was reading a book sitting on the bed when her phone rang. She kept her book aside and picked up the call. It's Aryaman.

"Yes, Aryaman."

"How are you? When are you going to join office?" Aryaman asked as he heard her voice.

"I don't know. I am not completely well. How's everything going there? How are you all?"

"How can we be fine without you? You don't know how much I am missing you. Only I know how I have passed all these days without you." He tried to sound romantic but they had no effect on Nandini. They only irritated her.

Nandini remembered Manik had told her without Nisha no one was worried for her. No one tried to know where she is, how she is. She  had checked her phone and she also found calls and texts from Nisha only. Nandini started having doubt that everyone only loves her money.

"Nandini, are you there? Why are not you talking?"

Nandini didn't realize that she was still in call with Aryaman. "I am listening. You tell..."

"Nandini, let's get married now. I don't want to be without you anymore. I want you with me."

She let out a breath. She was expecting it only after her conversation with Rocky that day. She was only wondering why Aryaman was making delay to call her. "Aryaman, I have already made it clear that I don't want to marry now and you had agreed to it. That's why I said yes for the marriage. I need time."

"But why? How much will you make me wait?"

"Wait Aryaman. Why are you in so much hurry? Am I running away somewhere?"

"No. I didn't mean that but why don't you want to her married now? Tell me." He was not ready to leave the topic.

Nandini was getting irritated with his continuous nagging on the same thing these days. "Listen I am not ready for marriage. I need some time. I expect you will understand that and respect my decision."

"I love you, Nandini. That's why I want to marry you as soon as possible. But when you don't want this marriage soon, then I will wait. Okay, I an hanging up now."

Then Aryaman cut the call and Nandini sighed in relied looking at the phone.

Like this another week passed. Now Nandini is better than before. Nandini wanted to start going office but Rockey asked her to take rest for a few days more. She had never disobeyed her uncle. So, she didn't go to office. But suddenly he called her and asked her to come to office immediately saying there is some emergency.

After the call Nandini was really tensed. Rockey was sounding really angry in the phone that he was not able to talk properly. Because she has never seen her uncle to be so angry. She was worried, if he got to know everything about Manik. But that was not possible as Manik had told her that no one would get to know about their marriage.

Then?

She made herself believe that maybe there is some problem in some project or some employ did something which needed her attention.

She didn't make any delay. She got ready and went to office.

When Nandini reached office, everyone was silent. They were really tensed about something. The atmosphere was heavy. Nandini could guess something really had happened. She asked one of the employee about Rocky. He told Rockey is in her cabin. She didn't make any delay and walked there.

Nandini entered into her cabin and became shocked seeing Manik sitting in her chair. She was taken aback with his presence there. She didn't expect him to land in her office so soon.

Rockey was sitting in front of him. He was fuming in anger. Seeing Nandini, Rockey got up and went towards her.

"Wahhh, Nandini, till now I took care of you and Nisha. I did everything for this company and in return you give me this???" He started shouting standing in front of Nandini. He was trembling in rage.

Nandini was confused with his behavior. She had no idea of what he was talking about, she looked Manik once and turned back to Rockey. "What are you saying, uncle? What have I done? I don't get you."

"Why are you behaving like you don't know anything? We are nothing to you. That's why you gave all your properties to this outsider." His tone was sarcastic but the anger was still there.

"What are you saying? Why will I give someone else my property? Have you gone mad?" This time Nandini's voice too raised.

He glared at Nandini. "See, Nandini don't try to teach me. I have always taken care of you and Nisha like my own daughters. After your parents death, it was me who had taken care of you two. And you?

You could have told me, you don't need me anymore. You shouldn't have insulted me like this. You wanted to live your life in your own then you could have directly told me. I would have gone without saying anything. But here you insulted me."

"Uncle, please tell me everything clearly. I am not understanding what are you talking about?" Nandini pleaded. Rockey meant a lot to her as when there was no one with her, that time he stood by her side. She can't even think of hurting him in her dreams.

Manik who was quiet till now stood up and told. "Why are not you understanding, Nandini? You have hurt his ego, his selfish motive. He has lost your property, that's why he has gone mad in anger."

"Manik, please shut up. Don't forget he is my uncle. I don't want to hear anything wrong about him from you." She shouted looking at him.

Manik became serious all of a sudden. He looked at Rockey who was throwing daggers at him. Manik passed a smirk to him and looked back at Nandini. "You have to hear even if you don't want to. Because your property was the reason of his so much care and love for you and Nisha. Now everything has gone out of his hand, he will be angry only, right?

He had dreamt so much that everything yours will be his one day. His plan was going right but I interrupted there. But now when there is problem in his full proof, he is so hyper. Taking care of you two was his plan to gain your trust. His main motive was to snatch your properties.

Nandini went towards Manik and held his collar tightly. "Enough is enough, Manik. I am hearing all these craps of yours from a long time. Don't utter anything more. How can you sit on my chair in my cabin? And how can you insult my uncle standing in my office?"

Manik smirked and freed his collar from her grip. "You are wrong, Nandini. Not yours, mine. You forgot, you yourself had transferred everything on my name."

Nandini looked at him with confused eyes. "What do you mean?"

Manik smiled and looked at Rockey. "Excuse me, chacha. Can you go out for sometime? I need to tell something private to Nandini."

"You didn't do it right." Rockey said to Nandini gritting his teeth before leaving the room.

As Rockey left, Manik looked back at Nandini. "Madam, No one never dared to hold my collar. And I guess you know what I can do, if I become angry.So, don't do that again." Manik said in a dangerous tone.

Nandini passed a blank look to him but she didn't utter anything.

"So, what was I saying? Yes, this cabin is not your anymore. Now it's mine. Surprised? You should be. You have transferred your everything to me with our marriage certificate. This document was there as well. See your signature."

Manik handed over the document to her. Nandini took that and found really she has transferred everything to Manik. She felt like she has lost everything. Her whole world collapsed in a moment. She sat on the chair with a thud.

"Want some water?" Saying this Manik forwarded the glass towards Nandini. Without caring about that, Nandini looked at Manik with teary eyes.
