The Jeon-office was anything but an oasis of peace to be in. In the executive office, the senior and junior Jeon matriarchs were at war again.

To avoid being seen by the highly frustrated Chairlady Ms Da-Hee, the office staff members were all tucked away in their offices. She was once more on the attack, and you could see two or three janitors leaving in tears as a result of verbal attacks they had just endured.

In his elegant executive CeO office on the top floor, Jungkook made sure he was securely hidden. He literally couldn't focus since his mind was in a state of disarray. He was in an awkward position due to his demanding girlfriend, domineering mother, and grief-stricken sister.

Recently, Eunjin and Kwan moved to Ulsan, and he already misses them deeply, especially his little nephew. His Eomma was grumbling bitterly about how Eunjin left her office disorganised. His eomma claimed that Eunjin's files were so disordered that their new marketing director Ms. Lalisa wasn't able to fully understand or manage her complex filing system, and Eunjin was nowhere to be found.

She turned off her phone and only left a message saying that she will return to her work after organising her living spaces in a week or two.

He understands that all she wants to do is lick her wounds after the recently confirmed divorce in her new place of living. While his sister seems to have completely shut herself off from the world, Jung Kook's heart breaks for her.

His Eomma was unable to emotionally relate to Eunjin and was a very emotional, detached mother to Eunjin who lived a tough life under her mother's watchful and critical eyes. She is a complete failure in Ms. Jeon's eyes. It was evident to everybody that the youngest matriarch has higher respect and admiration for her accountant daughter-in-law Ningning and his model and businesswoman fiancée, Sullia. Eunjin was seen by his mother as being emotionally unstable, unexceptional, and antisocial, as well as having a severe lack of abilities.

While leaning back in his black leather chair and closing his eyes, Jungkook wiped his face weary with his hands. He was pondering life's emotional rollercoaster.

When he opened his tired eyelids to check his phone, a vibration startled him. He takes out his pricey Samsung phone, opens it, and holds the device up to his ears as he sighs softly.

His devoted Eomma.

"Did you forget about our meeting regarding marketing with the new director, Jungkook? Your PA informed me that your office number was not accessible. Before I choke your grandmother, would you please come to the executive boardroom? She is going to sit in the meeting".His mother never stops complaining.

"Eomma, I hear you. Halmeoni and you should make every effort to remain peaceful. "
He made an effort to comfort his mother by saying, "She will leave in two days."

"Guks, you are aware of our rocky relationship throughout the years. A nightmare, that one. Come right away, please," She sighs heavily. "You know with your present, she is more pleasant and her demeanour is calmer."

"I'll just assign Ka-Young some urgent tasks.With Halmeoni, I'm flying to Paris the same day.The charter will be used.I'm hoping to stay for a week or so after the Summit and visit Halmeoni for a few days before she returns to Marseilles." After taking a deep breath, Jungkook told his mother.

"Why can't you take your fiancé with Guks. This is a great way to spent more time together as a couple and set a wedding date. I'm not getting younger Guks. I want to see you and Sullias' child. Are you getting cold feet because she complains that she never get to see you and you are so distant these couple of weeks, " she rant agitated.

"Sullia can be so silly. Eomma, I'm going to work in Paris and halmeoni doesn't like Sullia that much. And as for the wedding date, sorry I'm not ready to get married this year. We just got recently engaged. And I want to spend quality time with my halmeoni"he firmly stated.

His not going with a nagging fiancé.She is not even his wife yet. After that fateful night on the yacht she insist that they start with a more physical relationship. He is not yet ready to commit physically to another woman. Nobody can compare to his ex, he regrettably confessed. She was the only woman that could stir him up physically and intellectually and she ruined him for other more worthy women.

Da-hee sigh deeply, "Just don't let halmeoni put evil ideas in your head.You love Sullia and she adores you. Just don't listen to an old, bitter hag, like your halmeoni, okay...promise"

Jungkook chuckled, "I know Eomma. Why don't you try to see her point of reason? She doesn't want her youngest grandchild to get married so soon. She wants me to enjoy my life and marry by 35+"

Da-hee huffed and he could hear her clicked her tongue, "Just don't disappoint me. That wedding will happen and soon. "she sound determined. Nothing and no one will stop her son from marrying Sullia.

Jungkook chuckle softly as he said his goodbye to his Eomma. He slowly stood up from his leather chair, stretched out his arms before him, took his personal folder with his laptop bag and walked out of the glass enclosures to where their executive meeting will take place.

He smiled briefly to his beautiful and adorable PA Ka-Young which Sullia also got a problem with. Her unfounded jealousy made his mom fire her three months ago due to a misunderstanding in Thailand. He was furious and told his mother that he hired the girl and she knows his quirks and likes. She was diligent and chaste. She wasn't a tease because she was already involved with a prominent lawyer. But Sullia still disdain the girl that works so closed the him. She doesn't trust any beautiful woman near him.

Just because he took her with him to a conference in Thailand, Sullia thought he was intimately involve with her when she heard Ka-Youngs taking a call for him after midnight. They came late from a conference and dinner that night and Sullia thought they were together in his hotel room. So, these days he just take one of his male PA's for longer business trips to ease his jealous fiancé peace of mind.

"Ka-Young... did you already RSVP J. Shipping attendance at the Mandate-Dinner. Let their PA know that eight executives will attend. I'm just waiting for Eunjin to confirm? "he instruct his PA when he left his office and move further to where the Boardroom was situated.

He could hear chatter and small laughter and he hope the atmosphere will be more comfortable and pleasant for all.

He opened the dark double doors and made his presence known. Four ladies looked up with wide smiles as he entered. He bow respectfully as they all answer in a head bow greeting.

His eyes latched on Lalisa flustered face as he caught her checking him out. He just smirk as his grandmother gestured a seat next to her. He smiled as he notice the sour look on her his Eommas face. Her beautiful, flawless skin looked flustered.

Gosh, seems everything is a competition with his mother and grandmother these days.Lalisa just glanced down as she bit her lip shyly at his penetrating gaze. She knows she is gorgeous and most men cannot refute her beauty. She felt extremely flattered as she noticed his appreciative gaze on her. She made sure she looked well dressed like the heiress she is. Her shy smile captivates Jungkook immensely. He is not physically attracted to her, but her close friendship with Jenna made her more alluring.

The Jeon Matriach smile affectionately at her handsome grandson, " You look a bit tired Jungkook. I can totally relate being in a constant firing zone. Don't fret the two of us will be gone in two days---"she smile and everyone could feel the jab she gave his mom nonchalantly. His eyes darted to his moms' annoyed expression.

" Yes, halmeoni, "he smirk, peering at and taking the folder in front of him to observe the agenda.

He looked up at his mother, who was beaming, and heard a clearing of the throat.

"All right, I want to thank you for coming to this brief meeting.I merely want to introduce Lalisa to the top executive to whom she will report. Congratulation, Lalisa, on a job well done on the Kang Account.Mr. Kang and his team are equally pleased with your successful campaign. You will serve as the point of contact between Lynx Advertising and Jeon Shipping. Following the extensive and global promotion, our stocks surged. We were awarded three lucrative contracts for over $3 billion from the United States, Dubai, and Israel. Among its' contemporaries, Jeon Shipping has established a strong reputation. We honour your effective and powerful leadership,Jungkook," she concluded and gave additional exciting insights on the coming marketing strategies.

There were soft clapping coming from his delighted halmeoni. Lalisa sat with a huge smile on her face.

His mom's PA was taking notes on her laptop like crazy because she will have to present to his mom directly after the meeting.

His grandmother also inform the team about the companies condition with the sister branches in Israel, London, Marseilles and Tokyo. She planned two new international branches in Dubai and NYC solely because of the two new contracts that they've gained.

The people that will work for Lalisa were made known to her. Eunjin will work remotely from her home. Lalisa was uneasy since Jeon Shipping has a professional vibe and requires you to produce results. Lynx was comfortable, welcoming, and ran like a family. Jeon Da-hee is a very demanding employer. She is the head of operations and is professional.The 200+ employees at this headquarters has to be aware of their responsibilities and remain alert at all times. She may immediately fire people and shows no mercy. The CEO of all branches, Jungkook, travels abroad once a month.

The Jeon Matriach is currently the company's top shareholder, and his mother wants to acquire those shares so that she can become the largest shareholder. What nobody is cognizant off is that she, his grandmother desires to transfer all her shares to him who worked very forcefully to get the corporation to another level and even exceeded the competitors in the market.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when the meeting was adjourned an hour later. His mother nodded and exited the tense conference with her PA trailing behind her like a headless duck. His halmeoni congratulated Lalisa on her outstanding campaign and shook her hand. Lalisa sincerely thanked the matriach while grinning her most radiant smile. Lalisas' gaze fixed on Jungkook, who was simply standing there smirking.

"My boy, don't forget our lunch date tomorrow noon," his grandma said as she turned to face him with a deep-red lip smile," I'm still meeting Kim Publishing for lunch today. Namjoonie is full of nonsense and wants me to modify some characters because, in his opinion, they are based too closely on truth. Gosh! What happened to creative freedom? I'm an author. The disclaimer is there. Oh my goodness" .She cast a somewhat agitated gaze at her grandson. He is acquainted with his obnoxious grandmother and his friend Kim Namjoon.

What his grandma doesn't know is that he requested a copy of the'
secret' script from Namjoon, and what he read made him shudder. His grandmother didn't play when she threatened to write a collegiate
novel based on his and Jenna's lives with 'other characters'if they dared to break her heart by splitting up, but Bangtan Elites already knows it is
their love story. His halmeoni supported his relationship with the serene and respectful Jenna.

She only permitted Namjoon to read the first 20 pages because she was interested in learning the truth of their breakup and he was too
distraught to talk about his romantic past. He only hopes that she won't let Jenna, the cheat, inside. His blood boils just thinking about her, but nobody is aware of him constantly fantasing about her in his arms. His mind hates her but his heart still yearns after her. He wish he knew how she is doing after he gave her such a cruel blow. Regret wanted to overshadow his heart, but he dismissed it. She deserves his wrath and more.

He smile and throw his arm over his beloved gran, "Maybe the problems with that manuscripts is a bad omen not to publish it. You might get sued for millions. ". he grinned in his grand annoyed face.

"As if, I'll sue the Publishing company for creative obstruction. He carries on as if my poor characters are based on real life people. Real people are boring and I'm very good at writing relatable and real characters. My writing and literary awards can attest to that! "she had a dark scowl on her puffy face. Jungkook only snort inwardly. He will make sure that book stalled for years. Luckily his gran got a binding contract with Namjoon.

She smile brightly at the amused Lalisa and now, " Let me leave and meet that abnoxious Mr Kim---" she trailed of as she walked out deep in thought, leaving a nervous Lalisa with the hot CEO.

Jungkook lift his eyebrow at the nervous Lalisa, " Well done Ms Manobal. You survived your first executive meeting. Don't fret my halmeoni is a very kind and somewhat savage lady. But her heart is pure. If you have her favor, you have it for life. "

Lalisa smile with gratitude, "Thank you Sir. I'll work hard not to disappoint the company"

Jungkook nodded, pick up his laptop bag and turn to Lalisa who's whole attention was on every movement of his, "Em... just out of professional curiosity. How is Lynx faring after yours and Ms Songs' departure--"he clears his throat.

Lalisa was taken aback by his unexpected inquiry, "Er... It was a little hard for Mr Kang, but he supported my decision because I will still be involve with the Kang contract. And we... er Jenna... Ms Song and I haven't spoken in almost two months because she left Seoul for good... starting afresh somewhere else. I don't know if she found work or not. So, I don't know her whereabouts."she bit her lip and Jungkook could see the deflation and regret in her demeanor. Her eyes looked saddened.

He furrowed his brows, "Oh-ok..well good luck. I'll be off, "he had a deep scowl on his face but his heart started to race when he realised that she left her life behind in Seoul. Where is she staying now, Ulsan?...where he found her with Jong-suk? So, Jenna cut all ties with her so-called best friend. Interesting. The tight bond has been severed. Seems like Lalisa is out of the loop of what is happening with her best- friend these days.

Lalisa looked hesitant, " Sir, may I ask a question? " Her eyes seems a little apprehensive when he turned and look her piercing.

"You already ask a question, but go ahead? "he gestured with his hand. She seemed nervous in his intimidating presence.

"Do you, uh, have a grudge against Song Jenna? This conflict has been ongoing for almost two years. Did...did she perhaps harm J. Shipping in any way?---"Lalisa inquired with a strangely strangled tone. She missed her friend so much.

She is baffled by how Jenna could have offended such an influential organisation, which led to her downfall. Jenna disliked this family, and she didn't even tell her why the Jeon matriarch detested her so much. Her friend must have made an enormous mistake that ruined her reputation and career. She was ousted from the advertising industry due to her attitude against this powerful family.

A dark cloud covered the young Ceos' demeanour, but it vanished as quickly as it had appeared.

His eyes had a strange glint in them, then he uttered with a dismissive shrug, " Don't fret Ms Lalisa... Song Jenna already saw it coming--" and with a cold nod, he left the office.
