Lana sat in her bed looking out the window. She had so many emotions she wanted to express. Anger and love kept nagging at her head. The letter she received last night sat in her hands.

She didn't know that reading it would change her way of living. Part of her wish she didn't. Not only was her lover alive, he was dating a paper copy of her. And her other lover knew he wasn't dead it was a ploy.

She had her suitcase packed with a plane ticket that would leave in 5 hours exactly. She wasted no time packing her bags and researching 'doppelgรคngers'.

๐‡๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐Ÿ’
Alexis walked in leaning her head on the door frame looking at her friend laying down crying.

"You have to go. You never talked about this to me but you seemed excited when you read it." Her raspy voice echoed through the room that was basically empty.

The only things she had were her clothes and a few pictures. Her life was in Spain with her family. Her heart seemed to be in a small town on the outskirts of Virginia though.

She rolled over to look at the brunette staring at her from a few feet away. They sighed looking at each other.

"I can't leave my best friend behind." She said dryly, pointed out for her. Beckoning for her to come. Dare she actually enter though.

"A best friend would know the full story. A friend would know the juicy bits. I only know you met a man in Spain a few hundred years ago." She backed away from the door leaving her with her thoughts.

๐‡๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐Ÿ‘
She eventually showered and dressed herself but something felt wrong. She opened the letter again and a small paper fell out. On it was a number and and address. "for you to stay." In good Nik fashion.

She called the number listening to it ring a few times. Someone picked up on the 4th ring.

"Hello love. Nice of you to finally call." On the other end was Klaus. Eagerly awaiting the call.

"Hello liar. And fucking manipulator. You used my pain to sleep with meโ€”" She began.

"I didn't do anything. You found your way to my bed those nights. I simply indulged in what you were asking for, you loved it might I add." The smirk through his words were so thick. You couldn't miss it.

"You knew I was grieving." She sighed.

"We all were. Besides, he wasn't dead. Just...resting for his actions." It got silent on both ends.

"Come to the address. Your flight is in 3 or 2 hours. My doors will be open all hours. I'll be seeing you, love." He whispered and hung up.

She grabbed her bags and walked downstairs to the entrance of her apartment. The doorman was waiting on her. He became familiar of her quickly. Only because he is Alexis' father.

"Where you off to Montoya?" His gruff voice snapped her out of her mind.

"Virginia. An old friend wants to see me." She sighed smiling at him.

He laughed and signaled a taxi for her. She hugged him and said her goodbyes. She had only ever been in New York since she left Spain.

The ride was long and stuffy even for her. She wanted to change her mind, to call Klaus and cancel. She hated the Mikaelsons that told her Kol died. She hated that she lived that night. She never wanted to see them again.

She made it to the airport and made her way to whatever food place was closer. She hated how crowded New York was and now she had to be in a confined space with people.

๐‡๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐Ÿ
She grew even more nervous with seeing how much time was left. On top of that Klaus texted her an exclamation mark every 2 minutes. He never missed it.

"You left this." She snapped her head around ready to punch.

It was Alexis and in her hand was her passport and a book. The book wasn't hers.

"That's not mine..." She grabbed the passport leaving the book in her hand.

"For your paper copy." She slowly nodded. She knew Lana would catch on sooner or later.

And she did. "The knock off." She said scoffing. She took the book placing it in her bag.

"You're not the original either hun." She smirked at her friend. She was one to always make a full moment better.

She hugged her knowing she'd truly miss her and they said their goodbyes.

She was alone once again.

๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ž ๐‘๐ข๐๐ž...
She was in first class. There was a first time for everything, thanks to Klaus.

Times like these she wished she wasn't a vampire. She heard everything. Every cry, crunch and squirm.

She slept like a baby. The sound of her thoughts were drowned out by the breathing of the people around her. She had time to plan her reunion with Rebekah. And how she would kill klaus. He knew it would happen.

The was the longest hour and 12 minutes she'd even gone through. But she survived in one piece. And without having any urges to drain a person dry.

The plane landed and some people clapped, which annoyed her. As she exited the plane into the airport she seen her. The blonde she was planning to surprise.

"Bekah!" She ran up to her hugging her. She spun her around and put her down fixing her hair.

"Lana Banana..." She smiled at her.

They stood there analyzing each other because they both looked different.

"Your hair is black now. You used to be brunette." She grabbed her hand taking her out to the car.

"Your roots are peaking through." She followed behind her.

๐Œ๐ข๐ค๐š๐ž๐ฅ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง
The car ride over was full of talk about their trips and every time they ran. Even their latest run in with Klaus making his hybrids.

"I never knew he could make more." She turned to the blonde next to her.

"The price was risky and he didn't care. Lives were lost." She sighed thinking back.

"None that mattered to you I hope." She seen the struggle in her eyes.

"God no. Kind of? Not fully? It's been lost long ago, then came back but it's lost." She smiled. She was talking about Stefan.

She nodded understanding. They made it to the house getting out quickly. Bex parked the car and made her way in, Lana following close behind.

The inside was prettier and bigger than the outside. It was elegant. She could tell Klaus definitely decorated this place.

"If it isn't Ms. Lana Montoya." Klaus came from out the living room wiping blood off his mouth.

"1 of 3 lying Mikaelsons. Hi Nik." She walked over to hug him.

"Oh? 1 of 3?" He looked down at her.

She nodded hugging him for a moment before letting go. She was like a puppy to him. She smelled blood and her eyes were instantly red. A dog hears something and it's ears perk up.

In the living room there were more bodies than people in the house. A buffet at its best. And since she was there it was at its best.

She took her time to play with her food. She hasn't had time to do that for a while. She was on a strict blood diet.

"Ahh, our little Lana is home." The voice was behind her. Like she could smell him over the blood.

She turned and smiled at the man in the suit. He looked clean and nice. Smelled nice too.

"Hi E," She turned to Klaus who was in the hall watching their encounter. "He's 2/3!" Then returned back to the girl in her lap.

๐ƒ๐ข๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ซ
They sat at the table reminiscing the time when they were last together. It was a family reunion in a way. They hadn't kept in contact with Lana at all Until the night before.

"So Lana are you going to the ball?" Rebekah leaned closer to her even though she would still hear her perfectly clear.

"When is it?" She looked to Klaus.

"Tomorrow at 7." He smiled.

"It was mother's idea." Rebekah sighed then smiled.

"I don'tโ€”" She couldn't really begin her sentence because both klaus and rebekah began talking.

"What color dress?" Klaus looked between his sister and the girl next to her.

"Black. All day, everyday."

He looked at her with a smile growing bigger than it's ever been. He had a soft spot for two people. Caroline and Lana. Lana was the only one he could get and he was going to get her.
