sunoo couldn't sleep that night. he keeps on thinking on how he can meet that jongseong guy again.

he tossed and turned around on his bed. okay that's it, i'll just ask jungwon. he quickly reaches for his phone and looked for his friend's number.

"that's cute, jake! you should buy that," sunoo grinned as he checked the coat that jake is wearing on the mirror in front of them.

it's saturday, and jake brought sunoo to the mall to help him choose a new coat to buy.

"you think so? don't you think it's too much?" jake examines the cloth once again.

sunoo shook his head. "nope, it suits you." jake looked convinced, taking off the said coat. sunoo grinned and grabbed the coat, holding it on his left hand.

"let's go pay for this." he pulled jake by his arm and dragged him towards the counter.

"i'm paying for that sun—"

sunoo quickly denies. "no, i'm paying. think of it as my gift for you." he winked at his best friend who doesn't look happy.

"fine, but i'm paying for our lunch."

"how are you still competitive even at this?"

jake just shrugged. after paying, they ate lunch at sunoo's favorite place. it's a restaurant which sells whatever food that a person would request— as long as they have ingredients.

jake was the one who introduced him to this place, and sunoo immediately fell in love with their food. the owner is also very nice— though he doesn't speak that much often to customers, he gives discounts and freebies. plus the fact that he's really good-looking.

"you look happy today," jake commented after they left the restaurant. they're strolling around the mall, looking for some things to buy.

"nah, i just feel great." sunoo checked his wrist watch. it's already 2 pm. "is jungwon still coming to join us?"

"yeah, i think. he's still probably stuck cramming his council works." jake stopped walking and stared at him. "why, are you tired already? we can rest for a bit."

sunoo grunted. "no, i'm okay. can i go to the restroom for a minute?"

"okay, i'll come wit—"

"just stay there, jake. i have feet, and i can walk perfectly fine."

he started walking towards the restroom while jake decided to sit on the nearest bench beside a food stall.

sunoo got inside the restroom and fixed his hair. he was about to leave after washing his hands, when he saw a familiar figure on the mirror just behind him.

what a lucky day. he slowly followed the guy, carefully trying not to make it obvious. sunoo went out and saw that jay stopped at the smoking area near the parking lot.

he slowly went forward, closing the gap between them.

"jongseong!"

jay almost tripped when someone jumped on his back, arms draping on his shoulder. "what the fuck—" he was prepared to beat whoever is on his back, but stopped halfway when he caught a glimpse of a bright smile.

"you-! what are you doing— get away from me will you?" he lightly pushed the other away.

"why are you here? and didn't i tell you not to talk to me anymore?"

sunoo groaned mentally. wow, i thought he'd be better than jake. but i guess he likes nagging too.

he gasped. "you did? i must've forgotten, sorry." he looked around, "are you going somewhere? can i join you?"

jay massaged his temple. all he wanted was to buy new contact lenses, and all of a sudden a random nosy child appeared in front of him.

jay took a glance at the boy standing in front of him. he looks like the type of guy who doesn't disobey his parents. and judging from his clothes and appearance, he's probably rich too.

if people can see us right now, they might think that i'm robbing this guy off.

"you want to come with a stranger? really?" jay gave him a look of disbelief.

sunoo shrugged. "hey, you're not a stranger anymore. we met three times already, that's a lot of hanging out."

"no, leave me alone." he took one cigarette on his pocket. he caught sunoo looking at him with curiosity as he put it on his mouth, lighting it with his black lighter.

he was waiting for him to say something like 'cigarettes are bad for your health' or 'your lungs will suffer 5 years from now', but sunoo didn't say a word and just stood next to him.

"do you smoke?" jay asked, and the boy shook his head. his eyebrows furrowed.

"then you should go now, second hand smoking is bad."

sunoo chuckled. "wow, hypocrite." he felt his phone vibrate, a sign that jake is probably looking for him.

i should go, but before that...

"fine, i'm leaving. but can i get your number first?" sunoo tried to put on his best smile. please say yes, please say yes.

jay contemplates. i could just give him any number so that he can finally leave me alone in peace.

"and don't even think about giving me a fake one because that won't work." damn it.

sunoo handed him his phone, and jay hesitates before he types his number. whatever, i can just block him.

the boy tried calling his number to double check, and he sighed in annoyance when he felt his phone vibrate. he picked it up and held it in front of sunoo's face.

sunoo grinned. "great, i'll just text you then. bye!"

jay watched as the other ran back inside the mall. what did i just get into?

jake sighed in relief when he finally saw his best friend, running towards him.

"sunoo please stop disappearing without notice, i feel like i'm babysitting you."

sunoo pouted, wrapping his arm around jake's. "sorry, won't do it again."

jake smiled and ruffled his hair, but stopped when he smelled something. that's the smell of a cigarette...coming from sunoo?
