For what felt like the one thousandth time that week, Johnny was once again being tortured and mocked by the Death Eater's surrounding him. Johnny had been hung by a low hanging chandelier over a long table at Malfoy Manor. Each Death Eater would take turns in torturing the boy until he bent to their way. Of course, you had the few who were reluctant to do it, Narcissa, Draco and Bellatrix for example, but then you had the really sadistic ones who took so much joy and satisfaction out of it.
"Jooohnnnnnyyyyyyy," said Rabastan Lestrange, Jakob's best friend in a sing-song voice. He gripped a silver dagger in his hands and sliced Johnny's already beaten and torn stomach. Johnny had been hung up in nothing but his underwear, it gave the Death Eaters more joy. "Will you bend yet?"
Johnny weakly looked up, a weak, sarcastic grin on his beaten and bruised face.
"F-Fuck off," the Death Eaters cackled in amusement as Johnny gathered the strength to spit in Rabastan's face.
"Severus, our slippery friend," said the high, cold voice of Lord Voldemort. He glanced at Rabastan who was stood on the table and motioned for him to get down, before casting his eyes back to Severus Snape, who hadn't looked at Johnny since he arrived. "Severus, why don't you take part in our fun? I'm sure it will give you a great release from all the stress. Maybe, just maybe, it will help you crack a smile."
Snape looked like he wanted to refuse on the spot, but thought better of it, as it would only lead to his death. Snape climbed up onto the table and withdrew his wand from his black robes. "I'm sorry," said Snape to Johnny, using Legilimency. Snape aimed his wand at Johnny and muttered the Cruciatus Curse for the first time in several years. Johnny's cries filled the air once more, echoing along the grey, stone walls of Malfoy Manor.
"You are a tough one, Johnathan," said Voldemort, his right hand stroking Nagini's head softly. He looked deep in thought for a moment, before he motioned for Pettigrew. They had a hushed conversation, before Pettigrew came running back out with the projector Snape used in Third Year. Pettigrew set it up with sipped and stepped back, waiting for Voldemort's orders.
"Using Muggle devices," said Voldemort, a cold laugh escaping from his lips as he watched Johnny thrash about. "This was filmed yesterday. It shows a Mudblood girl girl, conversing with her Muggle parents in their back garden. Now Jakob, Johnny's father, was kind enough to film this for us."
He motioned for Pettigrew to press play and Johnny's head snapped up in horror as he heard Hermione's giggle fill the air. The video had been taken from a tree, aimed directly at the Granger's back garden. It showed Wendell and Monica, sat either side of a sad looking Hermione, all with lemonade in their hands as the sun beats down on them.
"I know you miss him, but I'm sure he's okay, wherever he is," said the video version of Monica, rubbing her daughters back softly. Hermione was even more beautiful than Johnny remembered. In the video, her hair was up in a messy bun, and she was wearing a white tank top with denim shorts. She looked like an Angel, in Johnny's opinion.
"Did you hear what the mother said?" Voldemort asked his followers, as confused chuckles left the lips of those who sat around the table. It was clear they didn't know who this family was, except for Draco and Bellatrix, who sat with their eyes down at the table. "I'm sure he's okay, wherever he is."
Voldemort's followers chuckled once more.
"I can tell your all very confused by the video," said Voldemort. "Which is, of course, completely understandable. You see, the girl in that video, was none other than young Johnathan's Queen."
Gasps of pure joy and excitement filled the air as the Death Eater's began talking amongst themselves, until they all fell silent in unison by Voldemort's raised hand. Voldemort went to speak once more, but Johnny cut him off.
"You touch her and I'll rip all your fucking-!" He roared, a new burning passion inside of him as his eyes flamed red. Jakob stood up from his seat at the table and yelled the Cruciatus Curse once more, hitting Johnny square in the chest, his wails were almost deafening at this point. Voldemort chuckled once more, finding a sick sense of amusement.
"Johnathan, Johnathan, Johnathan," said Voldemort lowly, climbing onto the table. All eyes were on him and Johnny. "Bend now, and we'll spare the lives of Ms. Granger and her parents. Bend now, and I won't send Mr. Carrow, Mr. Rosier and Mr. Greyback after Ms. Granger. I'm sure The Daily Prophet informed everyone how they like the taste of young girls. I will admit, Mr. Carrow and Mr. Rosier likes the taste of a different substance."
"F-fine!" Johnny cried. "I-I'll bend! I'll join!"
Cheers echoed around the room as Johnny uttered those words.
"Bella..." said Voldemort, his eyes now cast to a frowning Bellatrix who was staring at Johnny with nothing but sadness in her eyes. "You remember the process, yes?"
Bellatrix looked at the Dark Lord with wide eyes. She glanced between Johnny and Voldemort, before slowly nodding.
"Excellent," Jakob slid the dagger over the table to Bella and she rose, taking the dagger with her as she climbed onto the table, letting Johnny's left forearm go of its binds. "Clean him up a bit first, the blood might get in the way of the ink."
Bellatrix bit her lip as her eyes roamed Johnny's weak face. She pulled out her wand and muttered the curse. Instantly all traces off blood was gone, and all his open wounds were stitched, his broken bones were fixed, and his bruises subsided. She rose her hand to Johnny's cheek and stroked it softly, earning a groan of disgust from the majority of the Death Eater's around her.
"I'm sorry," Bellatrix cried quietly, before slicing the pattern of the Dark Mark into Johnny's left forearm. Johnny's cried and thrashed, but Bellatrix finally completed her task, and winced as Johnny still cried in pain. Bellatrix sat back down, burying her face into her hands as she silently wept.
The moonlight shone through the windows of Malfoy Manor, it's light bouncing of the walls and highlighting the sick amusement on the faces. Voldemort's sharp fingernails dug into the skin next to the new gash in Johnny's's arm, holding the boy steady as he raised his wand.
"Morsmordre!"
Johnny watched as the once blood red gash was covered over in a thick layer of jet black ink. It burned like hell, but it wasn't as bad as the torture Johnny had experienced these last few days.
"Bella, see that our new family member changes into something more appropriate and he's back down in time for dinner in thirty minutes, meeting adjourned," Voldemort flicked his wand, and the binds holding Johnny to the low hanging chandelier disappeared, causing Johnny to weakly drop face first into the table. Bellatrix silently led Johnny up the stairs of Malfoy Manor and into one of the rooms.
"I'm so sorry," Bellatrix wept as she sat Johnny down on the bed, and moved over to a dresser, pulling out various dark coloured suits. Johnny didn't say anything, he stared at the jet blank ink that stained his forearm, and began to scratch at it. He scratched so much, that by the time Bellatrix realised what her step-son was doing, his left forearm was already scratched raw and bloody.
"I tried that the first time I got it too," said Bellatrix sadly, taking out her wand and tracing over the raw skin until it didn't burn no more. "Johnny, I'm going to tell you something, but we'll have to be very quiet."
Johnny looked at Bellatrix for the first time that day and nodded instantly.
"I'm getting you out of here," she told him in a hushed whisper. "Tonight at midnight, when everyone is in bed."
"B-but what if-"
"None of that," Bellatrix hushed him. "Midnight, don't take off the suit, it'll be your only source of warmth."
True to her word, Bellatrix appeared in Johnny's room at midnight, her night dress and slippers on, but a black travelling cloak over her head.
"We'll make it look like you climbed out the bedroom window," Bellatrix explained to him, opening the window before yanking seven bedsheets out of the near by cupboard and tying them together, making a rope. She tied it to a chair that was bolted into the ground and threw the other end to the ground outside. "Now follow me and stay quiet."
Bellatrix grabbed Johnny's hand and led him down the dark and eerie hallways of Malfoy Manor. The only sound was coming from the bedrooms either side of them, where a large number of Death Eaters had been staying as the Ministry were raiding their homes, and the clicks from Johnny's shoes.
"I took Liquid Luck before I got you," Bella admitted as they made it out of the front door and they began to run down the gravel pathway to the large iron gates. "Alohamora!"
The gates swung open at once and Bella stunned the two Death Eaters that were standing guard, wiping their memories for extra caution.
"Take my arm, Johnny," Johnny obeyed and gripped Bella's arm. Feeling like he was being forced through a small, rubber tube, Bella and Johnny appeared in a field a second later with a loud pop. The overgrown hedges were preventing them from being seen.
"You'll want to go two hundred metres North," Bella informed, remembering the details from the meeting about the Burrow being under protective charms. "You'll be at the Burrow."
"Come with me," said Johnny quietly, almost pleading with Bellatrix to come with him.
"I can't," Bellatrix admitted sadly, and Johnny was to weak to put up a fight. "I love you, Johnny, you're the son I always wanted."
And she spun on the spot, just as Johnny finished muttering, "I love you too."
