A/n: Pedro Alonso and Úrsula Corberó as Luca and Caterina Scaletta.

12th June 1998
"Uh, babe," said Johnny, drumming his fingers nervously on the table in front of him. They had finally moved back to England, and were currently living in Potter Manor with Harry and Ginny (who got back together) while they were waiting for Grindelwald Manor to be finished. They were currently prepping their wedding and they were writing invitations.

"Yeah?" Hermione asked, smiling at Winona who was pulling funny faces in her high chair. She turned back to Johnny and smiled.

"I was thinking, we should invite Luca and Caterina."

"That's a brilliant idea," said Hermione, causing Johnny to sigh in relief. "It's only right, they were your family."

"They still are my family," said Johnny quietly. "I still consider Cat my older sister, who forced me to do her hair and makeup, and I still consider Luca my father, who made me laugh and sung me to sleep after a nightmare."

"Then let's invite them," Hermione reached across the table and held Johnny's hand. "We can deliver it personally, so that way we can catch them up on everything they've missed, and they can meet Cupcake."

Cupcake was the nickname given to Winona one day after desert one day, when Winona had lifted her cupcake Ginny had made and squished it in her face, causing the four to laugh, and Winona to join in.

"We can do it tomorrow?" Johnny suggested, causing Hermione to nod happily.

"Great, I wanted to go into London and pick out stuff for Winona's room anyway," Hermione tickled under Winona's chin, causing her to burst into loud giggles.

-----

"Fuck, I can't do this," said Johnny, wiping his sweaty hands on his trousers. It was very warm in London today, a scorching 26°C to be precise, and Johnny's nerves didn't help in the slightest. Being back at the house he grew up in was nerve wracking to him, especially having not been there for six years.

"You'll be fine," said Hermione, her free hand giving Johnny's a squeeze. Johnny nodded slightly, his hand running over the enveloped invitation in his pocket. He approached the door, remembering when he and Caterina used to run up the street after playing in the park, and sighed as he knocked the door.

"Coming!" They heard a female voice from behind the door yell out. They waited a few seconds before the door was yanked open, and Caterina stood before them, shock completely written on her face as she stared at Johnny.

"You're here!" Caterina cheered, hugging Johnny around the waist. Johnny, who was now taller than her by a couple of inches, hugged Caterina around the shoulders, laughing as they swayed.

"You remember Hermione, right?" Johnny asked, his arm still wrapped Caterina's shoulders as they turned and he motioned towards Hermione.

"Of course, hey," Caterina waved, hugging Hermione too. Johnny took Winona out of her carrier and smiled slightly as she gripped his stubble chin.

"And this, is Winona," said Johnny, lifting Winona's hand so it looked like she waved. "Our daughter. Winona, say hi to Aunty Cat."

Winona made a small noise and buried her head in her fathers neck.

"You two are together?!" Caterina shrieked in excitement, looking between the two of them.

"Engaged, actually," Hermione held out her hand, showing the diamond engagement ring on her finger. Caterina gasped, holding Hermione's hands to inspect it closely.

"You never said your family were rich!" Caterina shrieked, slapping Johnny's chest. "And she's so cute!" Caterina took Winona out of Johnny's arms and rested her against her hip, placing a delicate kiss to Winona's forehead.

"Well I didn't know until I left," Johnny shrugged. "Where's Pa?"

"Working, like always," Caterina shrugged. "You can come in and wait, he won't be long now."

Hermione and Johnny had a silent conversation with their eyes and nodded. They both followed Caterina through the house, Johnny having memories from his time here.

"I sat right here when I found out I was a wizard," said Johnny, pointing at a stool near the kitchen counter.

"And I was sat next to him, gobsmacked," Caterina snickered, pouring three cups of tea and placing them on a tray. Johnny took Winona back from Caterina and went to the living room which was the exact same as when Johnny was here too.

"I remember this trip," said Johnny, pointing at a picture of a younger Johnny and Caterina at Blackpool Pier. "Cat threw me of the pillar and Luca had to dive in after me."

"Johnny and I agreed it was funny," Caterina shrugged, sipping her tea as she brought her knees into her chest. "I got grounded for about a month, but oh well."

The three adults continued to reminisce for an hour, laughing and joking, Caterina even crying when Johnny had given her the Resurrection Stone and she had saw Adya once more. It wasn't long before the front door opened and Luca Scaletta stumbled into the room, looking tired from a long day. His eyes found Johnny's from the doorway and his mouth opened and closed like a fish.

"Johnny, mio figlio? (my son?)" Luca asked, his eyes wide and sparkling due to the tears swirling about in them.

"It's me, papa," Johnny smiled, opening his arms for a hug. Luca laughed heartily and stepped in, wrapping his arms tightly around Johnny's shoulders as they swayed. "You remember my fiancé, Hermione, and this," Johnny motioned towards Winona. "Is our daughter."

"I told you two would be together!" Luca yelled, punching Johnny's shoulder. "Remember? The first time you came back from hanging out with her!"

"Yes, I remember..." Johnny blushed a dark shade of red as Hermione smirked at him as Luca took Winona out of her arms.

"So what brings you two around?" Luca asked, placing his fedora on Winona's head. It slid over her eyes, causing Winona to huff in annoyance, making the four adults laugh in amusement.

"Well, we was hoping you'd both come to our wedding," said Hermione just as Johnny pulled the invitation out of his pocket.

August 16th 1999

At 12:30 in the Afternoon
Westminster Abbey
20 Deans Yd, Westminster

"How the bloody hell are you getting married in Westminster Abbey?" Caterina asides after reading the invitation aloud.

"Well, Hermione and I happen to be good friends with the Minister of Magic who has close connections to the Royal Family and the Prime Minister," Johnny smirked, taking a sip of tea. "So, can we expect you to be there? And you can both come back to the Manor for the after party?"

"We'll definitely be there," Luca and Caterina said in unison.

"Would you like to stay for dinner?" Luca asked them. "I still have the old high chair in the attic."

Johnny and Hermione held another silent conversation with their eyes, and both nodded in unison, causing Luca and Caterina to smile widely.

"Do you remember how you used to sing me to sleep?" Johnny asked after dinner, when Caterina and Hermione went back into the living room with their glasses of wine and Winona. Luca nodded, a small smile on his face. Johnny began to sing quietly, twirling the stem of the wine glass in his hands.

"Una mattina mi sono alzato
O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao, ciao, ciao
Una mattina mi sono alzato
E ho trovato l'invasor."

Luca shook his head, a small smile on his face as he began to sing too.

"O partigiano, portami via
O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao, ciao, ciao
O partigiano, portami via
Ché mi sento di morir."

Johnny trailed off on the last line, clenching his jaw as he remembered the many times Luca sung it to him after a nightmare. Johnny looked up again, just as Luca began singing on his own.

"E se io muoio da partigiano
O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao, ciao, ciao
E se io muoio da partigiano
Tu mi devi seppellir."

Luca stood up, raising his half empty wine glass, and Johnny laughed quietly as he looked down, before standing up and raising his own wine glass as they both began to sing.

"E seppellire lassù in montagna
O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao, ciao, ciao
E seppellire lassù in montagna
Sotto l'ombra di un bel fior."

"Tutte le genti che passeranno
O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao
Tutte le genti che passeranno
Mi diranno: "Che bel fior"."

"Questo è il fiore del partigiano
O bella ciao, bella ciao, bella ciao ciao ciao
Questo è il fiore del partigiano
Morto per la libertà."

Johnny and Luca walked around to the centre of the table, and Luca raised his hand so it rested on the back of Johnny's neck. They leaned their forehead's together, and sung the final line.

"E questo è il fiore del partigiano
Morto per la libertà."

"I'm glad you're home," said Luca said quietly, patting Johnny's neck as he moved back, holding his son at arm's length. "I'm glad that you are safe, that you have a beautiful fiancé, a beautiful child, and that you are happy."

"And I'm glad you're my father," said Johnny, placing his hand on Luca's shoulder. They both smiled at one another, pulling each other in for a tight hug that they sorely missed over the years.
